In Val Thorens, our most popular ski holiday destination, we offer stays at properties including Les Balcons de Val Thorens, Chalet Altitude Val Thorens and Residence Village Montana Val Thorens, all within easy reach of the Three Valleys, the largest linked ski area in the world.

Second Booking With Erna Low
This is our second time booking with Erna Low and it has been a few years since our last trip. We had great communication from the first email we sent. Calum gave us options of where we could go in France (within our budget). We had numerous question which Rebecca helped to answer and then we finally booked with the help of Olivia. The support was great and we didn’t have any pressure to book. Thanks for your help - can’t wait for the holiday now.

First time we went with them superb
First time we went with them superb. However this year was a different experience. I noticed that the planned transfer seemed too tight for our flights so called the day before and asked. They admitted the flight times had changed and they had made an error and not changed the transfers. They then told us the earlier transfer would have us at the airport 7 hours early and there was nothing we could do. So after a lot of pressure they said they had found a better transfer time. This transfer from Tignes to Geneva involves changing vehicle three times in industrial estates and at one point one vehicle had to pull over because it was noisy. It was stopped by the police later and it appeared the driver was fined. When we got to Geneva I spoke to our transfer company. Apparently there had been eight transfers we could have gone on in the intervening gap but they were busy. But if we had been switched at the correct time when easyJet notified erna low it would have been fine. The call centre staff were uncaring and reduced me to tears and absolute frustration. I made a formal complaint which was only very partially answered accepted no fault or poor service denied any compensation. Three months later I am still awaiting an explanation on why the driver was stopped by the police and fined. I was absolutely astounded how terrible their support was, how they have never bothered to answer that part of my complaint. I will never use them again, not because an error was made but because when they do make an error customer care was so poor, they did not tell the truth, staff were unthoughtful and unhelpful and no response on the police issue has ever been made. Travel with Trailfinders when they made a mistake and cancelled our hotel by mistake. They were amazing fixed it at 2 am in the morning, staff were thoughtful and helpful and I never needed to complain.

While we have previously been in touch via email regarding these points, we want to reiterate how sorry we are for the frustration caused by the initial oversight with your flight time change.
While we acknowledge that we missed the airline's initial schedule update, we would like to clarify a few key points regarding your return transfer to Geneva:
The Border Stop: We investigated this incident with the transport provider as requested. The vehicle was stopped at the French-Swiss border, which is standard procedure for drivers to present required documentation and pay the mandatory Swiss road tax for the replacement vehicle. As a seasonal business, our suppliers close for the summer. Because this occurred during the final week of the season and was brought to our attention after operations had ended, gathering these details took longer than usual.
Transfer Availability & Timing: As you were traveling during the final week of the ski season, shared transfer options were naturally limited. Your original provider operated only two coach transfers that day: the original slot (which no longer aligned with your new flight time) and an earlier option that would have arrived at the airport far too early. Following your feedback, we proactively sourced an alternative supplier to find a better-suited time. The suggestion that eight other viable options existed through our suppliers is incorrect; this was entirely a matter of provider schedules, and we secured the best possible option available between the two suppliers.
Vehicle Swaps & Stops: Shared public transfers in the Alps frequently merge passengers or swap vehicles to keep prices low, manage road delays, and strictly adhere to driver-hour laws. While it is unfortunate that you experienced a long journey on this occasion, these logistics can occasionally be part of a shared service. For a seamless and direct journey in the future, we always recommend upgrading to a private transfer.
While our team worked hard to find a solution at short notice, we are truly sorry that your interactions with us left you feeling distressed. We take all feedback regarding our team's communication seriously and will address this internally to ensure our support remains empathetic and helpful, even when navigating complex challenges.
