We initially approached Fitter Windows as they were a local company and so thought 'if anything did go wrong, at least they were local'.. how wrong were we. We had all windows and doors replaced in June 2021 and at first were very pleased until quite quickly, we had issues with the windows. It started off with the windows 'dropping' which meant we couldn't shut them, but now we have a snagging list of a number of items... It has been agreed following an engineer visit that 1 window needs to be replaced entirely, our front door isn't operating right, mortar above the windows has fallen out, all windows have 'catched' at some point meaning we cannot shut or lock, none of the windows seal and our back door does not close properly.

We have been raising these issues for nearly a year (not all issues have happened at once). We have had engineers cancel a number of times on the day due to sickness, covid etc (we are self employed and have to take time off) and then not received updates for days, despite chasing regularly. The entire company seem disjointed and inconsistent meaning that nearly a year after we spent surplus of £10k, these windows are not satisfactory and quite frankly, not fit for purpose.

To add fuel to the fire, I have followed their website process for filing a complaint which states I will receive a response within 5 working days... it has now been 18 working days and despite chasing several times, I have yet to hear from Martin Dean the MD or any management, which is appalling. I am told he has access to all emails I have sent so is clearly avoiding the issue.

I am due to give birth in July and have had nothing but problems with this company and just want these issues rectified, so I never have to contact them again! The stress it is causing and financial impact on us having to not work let alone increased energy bills as they are letting out all heat and so am disappointed I have felt compelled to warn others of the quality and service they provide. Furthermore, sadly we feel we have no other choice but we will now be taking our case to the Financial Ombudsman to try and claw back some of the money we have paid as advised by a third party who has reviewed our position. So for anyone looking for new windows/ doors, do not use this company.

Brahim from Fitter Windows took his time to check our windows and doors thoroughly and asked about our needs and wants. Keeping this in mind as well as our financial needs, he showed us appropriate choices and was very helpful in ensuring I was offered all the benefits when ordering our windows and doors.
We've agreed to get all windows and doors replaced at a price that meets our means.

My parents had there old metal windows replaced with new double glazed UPVC windows and doors from fitter windows in our family home. My parents are retired and both in their 80's and have saved for many years to the windows and doors replaced. The guy who came out and measured up was very pleasant and professional and up to this point everything was great. It wasnt until the fitters arrived that this changed, the fitters wouldn't arrive until 11.30am on some days and did nothing but moan and whinge about changing our windows, they said it was the worst job they had ever had ! The fitters also commited criminal damage to some of our very rare plants in the garden, they just pulled them up and disposed of them, they were'nt anywhere near any window and most certainly were'nt causing any obstruction, they also destroyed an ornamental fence in part of our garden. Once the fitters finally finished their part and leaving lots of pvc offcuts all over our drive, we inspected the windows, 2 of which had scratches on the inside of the units, these were replaced but one of them had an even bigger scratch in it which we are currently now trying to get replaced. We have been trying to speak to a manager about the criminal damage for over 8 weeks now, and all we keep getting is emails from someone called Jamie, saying she has emailed the managers and is waiting to hear back from them, my parents are absoultely disgusted in the way they have been treated and are now considering taking legal action against futter windows for the damage that was caused by the fitters. We wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, the fitting service was shocking and the customer service is absolutely disgusting and non existent, avoid this company like the plague, we wish we did.

Very happy with the product and the an an excellent Service explained everything that needs to be explained very professional and I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family Brian was very professional and made sure he explained everything about the products the windows the doors thank you

Replace all windows house feel drafty since replacing sent installers said nothing was wrong house set at 73 temperature at windows 69 would not recommend

Brahim was most helpful and explained everything to my Mother and myself. We ended up choosing two wonderful doors and at a very good price. Would recommend this company and especially Brahim.

Brahim from Fitter Windows called today. I have place a 2nd order for 3 more windows with him today. Last month I had a new balcony door and windows fitted. I am pleased with the service and the quality of the windows are very good. Brahim was very helpful with good advice and information.

Signed a contract with Fitter windows in December 20/20 to change the windows and three doors to aluminium ...so a sizeable contact. The surveyor Paul who surveyed the job before Christmas was very professional and thorough. We were told in April 2021 that the leads that we ordered could not be supplied.
I know this has been an unusual year and many businesses have had problems..
Three fitting dates throughout the spring and summer were cancelled two with 2 days notice the last fitting date only cancelled by e mail on the morning the fitting should have started.
When the second fitting date was cancelled I was assured the windows had been manufactured and were delayed being delivered due covid.
Several months later after many ignored emails and many phone calls I was told that Fitter Windows was in dispute with the manufacturer.
I cancelled the contract as I had lost all confidence in the company.
Fitter windows refunded my deposit promptly.

Brahim is very professional and friendly and knows what he is doing. Thanks for his device and looking for the new door to be fitted.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but unfortunately, Fitter Windows do not provide the service that you would expect for the price that they charge. I would not recommend them for the following reasons, however I am trying to be as balanced as possible in my review:

1) Customer Service - Everyone you speak to at Fitter Windows are friendly, and always make out that they're doing their best for you. Unfortunately, they are either significantly under-resourced or they need a serious review of their processes, as something as straight forward as processing a refund for works not received has taken over 3 months (and I am still waiting for my refund...)

2) Installation - the fitters were friendly, respectful, showed up on time... however the installation of the door started over 3 months ago and I am still waiting for it to be fixed... given that their business is to install windows and doors, it should not take this long!

3) Estimates - I was told on the phone how long it would take to have the initial consultations, and surveying of my windows and doors, and had planned the rest of my working day around this. Unfortunately, their estimated 1 hour ended up being 3 hours... (I now REALLY regret signing the contract after that initial meeting... almost as if it was to tire me out to make a sale...)

4) Sales process - during my initial meeting, there were a number of things discussed and verbally sold.. however they didn't quite make it through to the contract. This you could say is my own fault as I should have triple checked what I was signing, and I would agree, but their sales person should really have made their writing more legible! In addition, there were so many follow up calls which made it clear that their own organisation couldn't make out what had actually been sold. In retrospect, I wish I had cancelled at this point.

In conclusion, I am upset with the service I received from this organisation and would never recommend them to anyone. I can't rate them a 1* as I really do like my kitchen windows, and the staff are really friendly on the phone.. but given that the main purpose of the business is to sell and fit windows and doors, and they haven't done this properly, it's hard to rate them higher!

Had a quotation for three windows the prices where very reasonable than anywhere else.The guy who gave me the quotation was very professional will definitely recommend them.

Generally a good experience with the measuring purchasing and fitting. Downside has been that the door has dropped so there is a gap at the top of the door. we called to get them to come look but couldn't come immediately due to covid which was fine. Now lockdown has eased we called again (they didn't contact us first) and we were advised customer service would call us back to schedule some one to come look at it but yet to hear from them.

Ask for Brahim, he was great to deal with, very professional. He showed us everything we asked and had the patience of a saint. He wasn't pushy at all and he was very helpful.
