It’s really changed my life. There are tasks both at work and private life that are so tedious I would procrastinate forever, but with focus mate it’s just so much easier.

I love Focusmate. I've been using it since 2025 and have done 50 sessions so far. Without exception, I've dealt with nice people. Focusmate really motivates me to stay on track and consistently complete my to-do list. I really like the new feature that allows you to jump into a session outside of the 15-minute intervals. I would like to see a group feature added. For example, a writing group, a tidying group, or whatever purpose the group might serve.

omg. I cannot believe how much I'm getting done. Seriously! There's someone available at all times, every day... Please, please, join these guys. Keep them in business forever.

Focusmate is, quite simply, a complete game changer for me. Whilst I have never been officially diagnosed with ADHD, I can see that I share many of the symptoms, and I use focusmate to alleviate the problems I experience. Problems starting work? Well just press the button to book a session in 5/10/15 mins or whenever you would like and it will trick your brain into going through the process of thinking about what you have to do next in order to study. Problem solved.

The format of the session is that you are paired with someone else from focusmate, and you spend a brief period of time - between say 1 min and 5 mins, explaining to the other person what you are going to study on. This is really useful as it gets you to refine down and be specific about your goals. Then you spend the time working (there are 25/50/75 mins sessions available), and at the end of that time, you regroup with your buddy to discuss what went well, and what went less well.

It's a fantastic 'body doubling' idea, and my productivity has literally gone up 100%. It also takes the loneliness out of studying - although you don't know the other person on the end of the call, and you you don't particularly share personal details, it shares the pain, and makes you realise there is a community of fellow sufferers!

The other thing i'll mention is how supportive the community has been. I am blown away by how kind and considerate everyone has been, in over 50 sessions with focusmate. As a woman especially, I was concerned about safety, but i've noticed there are easy ways to report people who might behave badly, and you can always just exit the call - not that i've ever needed to on Focusmate. It's a collegiate, hard working community of people all over the world, and it has been literally life changing for me. Thank you Focusmate!

Phenomenal service. I can focus much more easily with someone working alongside me. Sessions are easy to book, anytime I want, automatically show up on my calendar and the people on here are fun to spend a little time with while we keep each other on task.

It works. Great community of people. You get together, get things done, share your experience and leave. Simple as that.

Since I use focusmate I am able to work from home! As a typical ADD'er I need accountability. This form works great, I have no single bad experience, only good for all the 50 sessions I have done. It can seem scary to videocall with strangers but because you have the same goal you support each other. It has an easy interface and you get 3 free sessions a week.
Thank you Focusmate for making it able for me to work from home and feel good about myself because I get work done and stop procrastinating!

Love this app! It is so useful for productivity. I love the community on here. Everyone is chill and encouraging. I would recommend this app to folks who work from home who need some extra motivation to get through the workday.

The most effective platform to focus by far! I've been using Focusmate since 1.5 years ago. Is like having the BEST classmate ever to have study sessions with. I LOVE IT. Please try it out. I promise you won't regret.

As a Focusmate fan, having done 3,000+ sessions since May 2023, I can't recommend this platform enough as the greatest way to focus on and actually get done whatever you need to get done, through easy and supportive accountability from literally all over the world! I've gained SO much productivity focusing with "strangers" from over 19 countries across six continents - and several becoming "favorites" with whom I've forged great friendships. In fact, the 3,000 sessions snuck up on me because for me it's not about tracking them or the goal of how many, it's about the goal of each one. I absolutely love Focusmate. I spend all day at the computer and sometimes the isolation can be overwhelming and debilitating. Focusmate has changed my life. Not only do I get far more done, I've met people from all over the world! It is extraordinary. This evening, I worked and chatted with a woman in Australia and then a woman three hours ahead on the East Coast, with whom I've worked before. I've met and worked with young high school students doing homework, college students practicing instruments, and older people in far flung countries doing projects of every type. This is perhaps the most joyous product of the internet.

Focusmate are truly a wonderful company with truly wonderful staff. I applied for their Scholarship programme and was gratefully accepted. I find it fantastic that this company enables people that are struggling that may not otherwise be able to reach their goals without additional help which the services Focusmate meet.

I found Focusmate during the pandemic, and it has been instrumental in keeping me on track. The genius of it? I'll let myself down by scrolling social media instead of working, but I won't let my Focusmate partner down. That external accountability has helped me conquer procrastination through different phases: the job hunt, skill-building early in my career, knocking out mundane chores, and carving out intentional learning time. When I use it consistently, I make great use of my time.

Focusmate has been a lifesaver for me!! I’ve suffered from crippling task paralysis for years, and this is the only thing that’s pulled me out of it.

The staff is also incredibly kind and eager to help with any issues that may arise. They also respond very quickly, which is a nice breath of fresh air.

I’m beyond grateful for this app/site, and I can’t wait to continue to use it as a tool!
