German Online Institute Reviews

Doris is an excellent teacher. She prepares well for lessons and provides interesting material at the right level for me. I have made significant progress. The IT works well.

I had a 6 weeks intense course with Verena H, and am extremely happy with the result. She was very hands on, listened to my requests, and was pro-active at trying to find themes within my interests, and tailored the lessons to my needs. I highly recommend her for anyone who wants to improve their german!

Vielen Dank, Tanja R.! Lass uns weitermachen!

German Online Institute is great! With the help of my teacher, Milena D, I was able to get B1 Mündlich and B1 Schriftlich on the FIDE exam. I'm really happy with the progress I have made and the quality of the teaching. Milena has tailored courses just for me.

I've been taking German lessons with Maria J for the last 4 months. I reached B1 in my previous classes but I had forgotten many thinks already. Mith Maria J quickly resumed my knowledge and I have made a genuine improvement. She's friendly, have patient with my flexible schedule and dedicated to my needs in knowledge and I have the chance to talk a lot without being embarrassed. She designs each class is interested to what I don’t understand and prepares Missed or late classes, are not for her. I highly recommend her. Furthermore, she correctly targets our needs, provides varied and rich topics for discussion and grammatical exercises as well.
We highly recommend Maja J. and would like to thank the GOI for selecting her for me.

I’ve been studying with Milena D and really appreciate her patience and the many chances for speaking practice. I passed the telc B1 exam this month and even achieved a perfect score in speaking. Thank you, Milena—I highly recommend her to anyone learning German!

I've been a student for a good few months now, and my teacher Maja S. is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She's diligent, well versed, and most importantly patient when it comes to teaching, I highly recommend her.
I also find GOI an easy to use site with all the information at hand.

I started learning German at GOI a few months ago, and my experience with Milena D. has been very positive. She adapts the lessons to my pace, is extremely patient, and knows how to keep you motivated. The path is still long, but I can already see real progress. I can only highly recommend her.

I have been a student of GOI for over 5 years. I started at the B1 level and I am now a strong C1. Nowadays I keep a weekly conversation lesson and hope to continue until C2, a personal goal of mine. Their teachers are seriously good, professionally trained in fields like pedagogy and germanistics - not to mention patient and charismatic. I learned A1 in Goethe Institute in my home country and believe me, their teachers weren't nearly as good. I also love the flexibility. I constantly move across time zones and my teacher always accommodates to my needs and I can manage my schedule on the school scheduling app.

I refreshed long forgotten German A2 and studied B1 for citizenship in Switzerland with GOI. For me the flexibility is super important given my work/parenting schedule. My teacher is Novak and although I have everything I need now for my passport I will continue lessons with him in order to improve further. He is a pleasure to work with and clearly very knowledgeable about languages. He can explain things in a way I understand and structures the lessons to suit the style I learn best with. Highly recommend.

’ve had the pleasure of learning German with Daniel S., and I can’t recommend him highly enough. He is not only incredibly knowledgeable and well-prepared, but also deeply kind, patient, and encouraging. Every session feels focused and motivating—Daniel adapts to your level and learning pace, always taking time to explain things clearly and thoroughly.

What stands out most is his genuine passion for teaching and his ability to make learning enjoyable. With Daniel, even complex grammar feels approachable. His positive attitude and dedication create a welcoming and productive atmosphere where you actually look forward to each lesson.

Thanks to Daniel, I’ve gained more confidence in my German skills, and I always felt supported along the way. If you're considering learning with GOI, I wholeheartedly recommend choosing Daniel S.—he’s an outstanding teacher and a great person to learn from.

I have done 1:1 training with Orsi N over 4 month. She adapt the training to my needs and especially to my learning style. Everything worked smooth and she is an excellent teacher. I also passed my Switzerland KDE test (A2 read and write, B1 speak and listen), with margin.

I am very disappointed with the handling of my course package by the administration. I purchased a 50-hour German course package and was not informed that it would expire after one year. Unfortunately, I still had 15 unused hours at the time of expiry, and the administration declined any option to redeem or extend the remaining hours.

The only alternative offered was three free lessons upon purchasing a new package—effectively requiring an additional payment in order to regain partial access to what I had already paid for.

Losing 15 hours of prepaid lessons without prior notice of an expiration date is, in my view, unacceptable and reflects poorly on the service’s transparency and customer support.

I am at the beginning of my journey learning German, and I am so grateful for the enthusiasm and experience of my teacher, Tanja S! While I am quite a shy student and unsure of myself, she is continuously encouraging, open to additional reviews and practise as well as customising a portion of our learning around my interests.
The website was easy to navigate and I was able to start with a trial lesson before committing further.

Great experience!
I work with Tanja S and have been very happy so far, she is an amazing teacher.

So glad I found GOI!

My learning journey with Orsi.N has been great so far! I am getting more confidence in German with the help of her and her classes. They are very structured, but never boring at the same time!

I love that there's a flexibility that they offer, so I can match my schedule and squeeze in German classes during my busy day. The price is so worth it for what they offer! :)

I have been having learning German for some years. Thanks to Milena D I have passed my German test for Switzerland. I would not have done this without her hard work and patience. Many thanks Milena D and GOI.
