Fantastic team. They are very responsive, from the sales team to customer service to legal. They take ownership and when it is not their area, they linked me up to the correct department.

I am first time B2L investor who went to GetGround to set up the company and sought their services to identify new built flats in North of England. I hope you do not mind me reaching out directly.

I am writing as a GetGround customer who has experienced repeated difficulties across multiple investments arranged through the platform, and I would appreciate your intervention in resolving my current situation.

The property I am presently contracted to purchase — Centric House, Unit 3.09, Liverpool — has now been materially down-valued, and financing has become problematic as a result. One lender (Moda) has declined to proceed following valuation concerns, while another lender (Fleet) is unable to lend under its current policy criteria as it is a steel frame. GetGround has not disclosed the construction is steel frame at the time of marketing this.

In addition, my independent mortgage adviser, who also assisted with my other investment through GetGround, has advised that the property does not support the agreed purchase price. The agreed price is approximately £254,000, whereas Fleet’s valuation was materially lower at approximately £150,000.

GetGrounds mortgage team tried finding a mortgage but their provider Moda declined to lend.

I went to the Developer Centrics recommended Mortgage advisor IPFG, who approached specialist lenders and found UTB mortgages who valued the property at £190k which is 25% down and only willing to lend 30%.

At this stage, I no longer feel comfortable proceeding with the investment.

I exchanged contracts last year following advice to proceed with a 10% deposit of approximately £25,000. Since then, the completion timeline has been delayed significantly, with completion originally anticipated during 2025.

The prolonged delay has resulted in my deposit being tied up for an extended period, while financing conditions and interest rates have materially changed. As a consequence, the projected investment returns are now substantially below those originally illustrated by GetGround.

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated experience for me. I also experienced a previous down-valuation on a Manchester investment that I had to pull out from and lose costs, and my Nottingham purchase involved considerable complications, additional legal costs, and ongoing tenant payment issues.

I appreciate that market conditions can change and that not every issue sits directly within GetGround’s control. However, from a customer perspective, the cumulative experience has left me with very little confidence in continuing with this transaction.

My concern is that contracts were exchanged and deposits requested before a lender valuation had been fully established, which has ultimately exposed me to a position where I now appear locked into an investment that no longer reflects the original commercial expectations or valuation realities.

I would therefore be extremely grateful if you could discuss this matter internally with the developer and your senior team, with a view to help me exit the transaction and recover my deposit without further financial loss.

My solicitors have advised that requests of this nature can sometimes be considered where financing issues arise following material valuation concerns, which appears applicable here given the lending outcomes from two separate lenders.

I would genuinely appreciate your assistance in finding a fair resolution. I had originally intended to continue building a long-term investment relationship with GetGround and would remain open to considering alternative opportunities in the future, potentially including HMO investments, once this matter is resolved appropriately.

I've had a great experience with GetGround's accounting service. Their team is always quick to respond to my queries and provides clear, helpful advice. Everything is handled efficiently and professionally, making the accounting process straightforward and stress-free.

We can't even begin to express how shocked and appalled all users are by GetGround and its breach of agreement. We were betrayed. What started as a promising start-up built around a simple core idea (i.e., each property should be owned by one company with one GetGround subscription only) quickly degenerated into a chaotic "money-grab" of unjustifiable cost increases rapidly from £26.38/month to £34.8/month to £48/month. When simply raising costs was no longer tenable, GetGround started to forcibly "bundle" entirely unnecessary and illusory "services" in an attempt to raise costs further to £96/month. But this was not what was contracted for, we would not consent of course, and now GetGround has resorted to blocking access to our own money accounts in order to extort charges. How could GetGround get it so wrong? Has the recent downturn in the property market left it no choice but to exploit its own users for money? When contacted, its customer service specialist was patronizing, evasive, and eventually offered circular passive-aggressive non-answers. Worse, they do not even see how wrong it is to block our access to our own money held in our company accounts! Most of all, GetGround did not even do the one thing it was contracted to do: prepare and file the annual accounts, which are overdue. We are at a complete loss of words, and now can’t even access our own money!

My company set up by get ground was struck off and I didn’t even know about it. Theres no constructive communication… just a call centre in the Philippines - they have no idea what they’re doing and are costing me more money than it’s worth plus fines. There’s no duty of care. Stay away

Get Ground will send you (a number of) messages to remind you eminent deadlines, it will provide guidance and in case you still have unresolved questions, you can call somebody to discuss.

All in all, excellent customer service and very friendly staff!

I have had both good and bad experiences with Getground. They are very nice and helpful when they sell you something. But if you need help with something, they can ignore you.
