Brilliant team who have persistently helped me through various stages of moving to Italy. Elze and her team are great, and I want to single out Giorgia Geraci who has been extremely hands on, super prompt with getting back, and always available. Pricey but you get what you pay for.

Me and my family were recommended Giambrone law partners through a colleague so contacts them initially for services to enquire Italian citizenship through heritage. Initially we didn’t proceed until we were sure we wanted to pursue this. I then received a promotion email from Joseph Crick which said that although Italian law has changed it’s still possible for descendants to apply and that a discount was on offer. We took up this offer to proceed with my mother being the main applicant as the direct descendant of an Italian citizen. I enquired whether if it was found that we would not be eligible then would we be billed, with Joseph Crick responding ‘ eligible to apply, then work would stop on the matter you would not be billed any further.

If we find an alternative way for you to obtain citizenship we would then provide you with a new scope of work and fees if they change from the one that we already provided.

We would only proceed with any new work once agreed by you and all applicants.’

Work was referred to their Italian office to carry out the investigation into eligibility. We provided all necessary documents which took several weeks to request from our Italian family. we were requested to make a payment of £2,160 (including VAT) as combined retainers (+ a disbursements fee) for 4 x applicants, which was originally based on a specific number of hours quoted for all 4 applications to proceed to completion.

The Italian team were professional and provided detail quickly. As it stands, the initial documents supplied were checked and verified, and quite quickly we were advised that due to changes in the law since May this year, we would not be eligible to proceed with our application for Italian Citizenship by descent.. This investigation should only have taken at the very most one retainer fee + disbursement fee to establish, which would have been the case if only one of us has applied.

We have never received an itemised bill of work completed and it has now been months since the process started. We are repeatedly ignored by the U.K. office and Joseph Crick and have no idea what our funds have been used on. We have sent countless emails requesting an accurate invoice and for funds to be returned.

I would not recommend Giambrone & Partners to anyone and will be relaying our poor experience on several other review sites.

Muy a mi pesar debo compartir mi experiencia con este bufete de abogados, la cual, por desgracia, considero como la peor que he tenido con profesionales de este ámbito. Jamás habría pensado que algo así pudiera suceder, pero creo importante relatarlo para que otras personas lo tengan en cuenta antes de contratar sus servicios.

Todo comenzó con un caso de estafa a mi padre, una persona mayor. Tras días complicados presentando denuncias en dependencias policiales, decidí buscar un despacho de abogados que pudiera brindarnos apoyo profesional y agilizar los trámites. Este bufete me fue recomendado por varios conocidos, destacando su compromiso con la Responsabilidad Social Corporativa y su supuesta sensibilidad hacia personas mayores o en situación de vulnerabilidad. Confiando en esas referencias, acepté el presupuesto que me ofrecieron, aunque reconozco que, por la urgencia del momento, no pedí primero una reunión presencial para explicar todo el trabajo previo que yo ya había realizado por mi cuenta.

Una vez efectuado el pago, insistí en ser escuchado para detallarles la situación, pero únicamente me solicitaron documentación y poco más. Les envié todo de inmediato, pero pasaron meses sin recibir ninguna comunicación ni actualización sobre el avance del caso. Concretamente, entregué la información a finales de junio de 2022 y no obtuve noticias claras hasta finales de octubre, algo inaceptable en un asunto de esta naturaleza.

La situación se agravó cuando la abogada asignada se dio de baja y, a pesar de mis múltiples intentos de contactar al bufete, nadie parecía tener conocimiento real del caso. Me decían que me devolverían la llamada, pero los días y semanas pasaban sin respuesta. Cuando, eventualmente, alguien me informaba de alguna actuación, descubrí que eran gestiones que yo mismo ya había hecho de forma extrajudicial, simplemente redactadas de manera más formal bajo el nombre del bufete. Además, en lugar de actuar con proactividad (llamadas, reclamaciones insistentes, seguimiento cercano), se limitaron a enviar cartas, lo cual resultaba insuficiente.

Con el paso del tiempo me asignaron otros abogados, pero ninguno dio continuidad real al asunto. Tres años después y tras haber pasado por más de tres letrados distintos, puedo afirmar que no hubo trabajo en equipo, no existió un plan de acción claro ni se me brindó un seguimiento constante. Finalmente, lo único que recibí fue un informe resumen que básicamente recogía lo que yo mismo había hecho años atrás, pero de forma más tardía y sin resultados.

En conclusión, mi experiencia ha sido profundamente decepcionante. No encontré la transparencia, el compromiso ni la sensibilidad hacia el cliente que este bufete asegura tener. Me he sentido estafado, desatendido y defraudado. Mi recomendación para quienes busquen asesoría en casos de estafa es que pregunten bien antes sobre la disponibilidad, el plan de acción y el seguimiento que ofrecen, y que no se dejen llevar únicamente por las recomendaciones.

Elze and the company were incredibly helpful and assisted me in recovering documents dating back over 100 years. Great at keeping me undated with the task and I the delivery. Elze and her team were a pleasure to deal with.

Our Attorney for immigration matters was Elze Obrikyte. Professional and Knowledgeable. Also responded to our needs with speed and got it done. We where getting Permission to stay as American and Euro couple. Elze knew what to do on the local level and once we engaged here it was only a matter of weeks. We liked her work so much, we engage her to help with the import of our furniture and art work from America. She save of Thousand's of Euros just on the duty. Her firm is the best. Highly recommend them. Also a really lovey Irish women works in Reception.
