When I made that first call regarding the car. I asked if I could take a test drive. After the test drive I felt reassured that this is the car I wanted to purchase. After payment and MOT the car was delivered to the front of my house and I was very pleased with it. Thanks for a not so stressful experience.

Very pleasant experience with Richard at greenpoint car sales. We were looking for a Saab 9-3 and he was very knowledgeable about the car and sent me lots of pictures and video. He drove the car directly to my house once we decided we wanted to go ahead with the purchase at no extra charge. The car came valeted, full spotless mot and we are very happy with it. Would totally recommend Greenpoint if you’re looking for a nice reliable car and great service.

Found the car on Autotrader and messaged Richard on WhatsApp, responded straight away and was nice and polite, manage to put a brand new MOT on it and even showed me that the car originally failed but fixed it again, and then drove 100+ miles to deliver the car to me with still free delivery, and even put petrol in the car for me, definitely recommend to anyone buying a car no matter how far they are and they won’t disappoint!

Great service and communication throughout. The car was spotless and everything as described on delivery, which was very easy.

I bought a ford ranger off of Richard he was very helpful sending a walk round video and photos before I went to have a look in person. And when I got there showed me around the truck and let me have a test drive of the vehicle.

**UPDATE 4/8**

This is still ongoing. My family have been without transport for 5 months. Greenpoint recovered the vehicle for assessment and repair in April and then stopped responding to me. The location was Undisclosed until Essex police made enquiries. I have now recovered the vehicle back into my possession to mitigate further ongoing losses.

Following independent inspection, the vehicle appears to have undergone major front end repair Undisclosed at the point of sale.

For the entire period the vehicle was in Greenpoint's possession for a statutory assessment and repair, the vehicle was not inspected, but abandoned in an export yard where it appears to have incurred additional damage.

The dealer and legal representatives remain unresponsive.

This is my second review for this company. Where my first review (10/4) focused on the vehicle quality and after-sales care, this follow up relates to Greenpoint's complaint policy and dispute resolution handling.

Following a problem with my vehicle, I was directed by Greenpoint's third-party 'legal support' company to submit a formal complaint to the Directors (listed as Loraine Palmer at Companies House) and was told that I would receive a response in accordance with their policy within 14 days. I have not received any response to date (now 6 weeks) to my formal complaint.

Greenpoint and their representatives (Legal Solutions 4U) have now stopped responding to me altogether, no progress on my vehicle repair has been made, and I do not know where my vehicle is, despite requests. A legal claim has now been filed.

As a result of this experience, I carried out independent research into public records and found information which raised significant concern, including very similar experiences from other customers on this platform - which were harder to find beneath clusters of generic-looking 'positive' reviews posted very close to the negative ones.

I encourage any potential customer considering purchasing a vehicle from Greenpoint Car Sales or their front-man, Richard to carefully evaluate *all* publicly available information on the entity and key persons so that they may make a fully informed decision before entering into any transaction.

This review is entirely based on my own experiences.

Following intervention by Essex police, Richard Palmer has now given me the location of the vehicle, but has not progressed any repair, not responded to my formal complaint, nor offered any further resolution of the defects or a refund, and has not acknowledged my civil claim form.

The vehicle, which was purchased by a charity for my family has been off the road and undriveable since 12th March, leaving my family without transport for over 2 months, causing significant inconvenience and cost.

* Clarification following dealer's second response*

Mr Palmer blocked my phone, and both he and his representatives stopped responding to my emails (by his own admission in the first response to this review). I was left with no choice but to contact the police.

In his own words, he also appears to admit his responsibility to rectify any defect with my vehicle, but makes this contingent upon whether he feels I have given him an appropriate level of respect.

Buyers beware.
