Was very excited by range of dresses to hire. Chose 1 but My dress arrived not fit for purpose with a bent and misshapen zip. Not suitable for a wedding guest dress, especially due to the light material. They replied - although I was not able to reply back to say - a replacement would not arrive in time> due to not being at home until the day of the event. I’m waiting for a reply. It was kind of them to offer replacement - however since the first dress was not wearable, I just needed them to accept a return and refund as the dress was not fit for purpose. Now waiting for response and refund. They seem helpful but after reading reviews I feel worried I’ve been ripped off with a poor quality dress and have paid out of pocket £25 for the inconvenience and stress.

The model doesn't work. You actually only really get 1-2 weeks of outfits, and you can't control when that is, therefore you can't plan outfits for specific events or days. I'll explain what I mean. It's a monthly subscription but you need to leave 4-5 days for the items to get delivered to you. Then you wear them, but then you need to return it at least a week before your next subscription date, because it takes time for a) it to get delivered back to them, and b) for them to actually process it which also takes a few days. Then once they've received and processed your return, the slots for the next month open up, but you've already eaten into your days most likely. Then you might take a day or two to select your next outfits, then another 4-5 days for it to get delivered...you see the pattern.

Additionally, they have basically no clothing for petite fits. I found that a lot didn't fit me properly so I'd just wasted one of my outfits for the month.

Not a good rental experience. I paid for a
Monthly subscription and yet the items that I returned and that hire street confirmed had been returned were not cleared so I could not rent anything. So for £55 I had nothing. After messaging several times the issue was resolved by Hirestreet.

Hirestreet’s customer service is second to none – they respond quickly, offer practical solutions and always go out of their way to help. It’s also fantastic to have a platform tackling fast fashion’s waste by letting you rent clothes instead of buying new, which makes it easy to refresh your wardrobe more sustainably. Plus, there’s a great range of items to choose from and, as I said, BRILLIANT customer service.

Love the concept but delivery excluded for Northern Ireland

I ordered a dress and when it was delivered it wasn’t in good condition. The dress was for a wedding and it had a hole that had been stitched up on the back of the dress, and it was very tatty and frayed.

I was very disappointed because I had nothing else to wear and had to wear it.

Highly recommended! I recently opted to join the new subscription service, as due to the nature of my role as a busy MD I am regularly at events, and found that by using the subscription service, Hirestreet enabled me to change my wardrobe frequently! In addition I wanted to highlight just how brilliant their delivery service and their support team are, when ever I have needed advice on an order, they are prompt to respond (within 24 hours) and always happy to assist and advise on any items. A special shout out to Charlotte who is just brilliant in the customer support team! In addition to my work wardrobe, I have bulk hired for holidays and weekends away, and have really enjoyed being able to wear the item once and then send it back! I have hired 100's of outfits, and clothing and shoes have arrived often brand new with tags, or in exceptional condition. This concept has converted me away from making far too many impulse fashion purchases and instead wearing an item once and returning it, helps my bank balance and my conscience!

I submitted my last 5 items on subscription well ahead of my next billing date but hirestreet were extremely slow to update and ignored all my emails and texts on the matter - surprise surprise the next billing date has come round and theyve not let me cancel - I wouldnt bother with this there are far better competitors out there

I was skeptical at first buying ex rental, but using hire street is now my first go to when needing an outfit. Their customer service support was amazing and they helped me with my entire experience. To all those skeptics like me - trust them , sometimes that saying too good to be true , really is wrong as the quality of ex rental goods was amazing and the price is even better. Hire street isn’t just for hiring- it’s also for buying. It’s my new wardrobe secret!!

Ordered a black dress, a red dress arrived. Yes I received a refund after I had to photograph the dress, then the label, then when I suggested I wear it as I had nothing else to wear and my event was the following day they said the refund only applied if I returned it unworn. Won’t be using them again.

I have recently started a subscription service with Hirestreet as my winter wardrobe felt really dull and uninspiring. I had my eye on lots of new lovely jackets, but to be honest it’s hard to justify the cost knowing I will only wear them for a season and then have to store them somewhere!! Hirestreet has just been the perfect solution for me. I have been able to add warmth and colour to my wardrobe at such a fraction of the price. I get to be more experimental with my choices which has been great, and I am getting lots of comments from friends on my lovely new pieces.

When you need help, the company is really responsive. Charlotte from customer service is very helpful and has really gone above and beyond. Highly recommend

Amazing service and company. I use them for every single wedding and big event now and I get to wear lovely clothes that I used to buy, wear once and leave in the back of my wardrobe. So this helps me save money and I feel better from a sustainability pov! Outfits always arrive on time and my dealings with customer service have been fantastic. Such an easy service and very affordable. They get new stuff frequently too so lots to choose from.

I've been using Hirestreet for a while, and while I've always appreciated their collection, my recent experience has truly cemented Hirestreet as my favorite rental service! I was desperately hoping to rent a particular dress for an upcoming event, but every time I checked, it was unavailable. Charlotte went above and beyond, patiently checking availability, offering alternatives, and even searching on their eBay account for any options that might work.

Charlotte’s suggestions for Bridgerton-themed dresses were spot-on, and she seemed genuinely enthusiastic to help me find the perfect look. When it came to rental credit I’d earned from a previous order, Charlotte was so helpful, promptly issuing a new code when the initial one didn’t work. She even offered to extend my rental period so I wouldn't have to rush to return the dress right after my event. Her proactive approach, warmth, and fantastic attention to detail transformed what could have been a stressful situation into an enjoyable, seamless experience.

Seems like the service is set up make money from you. Purchased a dress for my wife for a wedding, (bare in mind she's a size 10, and has been for years. We tried on several other dresses from companies, all of which were size 10, and they all fit fine.) Anyway when we found one she liked at Hirestreet and ordered that, the dress arrived but didn't fit. So we went to return the item, only to find out that they DON'T provide refunds?

They only provide credit.. Well here's the kicker, you can only rent the item for 21 days, and their fastest shipping is 2-3 days.. Lets say you order the item, and it doesn't fit.. Even if you returned it the same day, there is no way it's going to arrive, be processed, the credit be issued, and you can order a replacement within time for the event. The entire process is set up so you're not getting your money back.

What a great idea - rented a dress for a wedding that I was going to buy and only wear once any way. I think it's a great idea! Will be renting outfits more often, the service was so quick and easy
