Always helpful and reliable, this is a garage to be trusted. There was what appeared to be a minor quirk - the lever to open the bonnet didn't work, yet when I took it to the garage it did. The owner didn't want me to spend money unnecessarily - I'm a regular customer - so he tried it a couple of times and it was OK. Once I'd driven it home, it didn't work again, so I brought it in and he fixed it.

The thing about a lot of car servicing places is you don't really know if they're exaggerating a fault in order to take your money, but Holocene never does that. Fairly early on in my dealings with them I brought my car in for a service only to find lots of police cars. Somewhat disconcerted, I later found out that that is where the police cars get serviced. If it's good enough for them, it's certainly good enough for me.

I was able to drop my car in as soon as I called Holocene to report the fault. They called me to update on the repair, which they dealt with within a couple of days, and returned my car to me nicely cleaned and valeted.

I have a 20 year old BMW that had a brake problem. I thought it might be terminal - too expensive to repair. Not at all! Holocene did a very affordable repair job and completed the work in a day which was great.

I thought that there dealings with me were very professional, and I liked the fact that the garage itself was immaculate, this is the sign of a business that cares.
