I've had a number of faecal calprotectin tests done with Home Diagnostics and they have always been processed very quickly from postage to laboratory testing.
I haven’t recieved all my results as yet as one takes longer which I knew about and happy to wait But I had one result sent to me at a weekend .. This company went above and beyond I highly recommend... Toon meer

Blame culture rather than service focus.
Update- thanks for your response Jane I politely disagree. I understand that wasn't the intention, but the email reads that way because it opens with questions about what I might have done, rather than confirming what's been checked on your end first. The line about the form being essential paperwork for the lab reinforces that, as it reads as explaining the likely consequence of my error before any other fault has been ruled out.
I’ve used the extended urine culture twice after frustrations of not being able to get to the bottom of my symptoms via the NHS. The first time I got a detailed useful report back very quickly. As the symptoms continue I decided to try again to reopen the conversation with my GP.
This second time my experience has been less than great. I followed the instructions to the letter (like I did first time round). I’ve waited a week since the package shows as delivered using the tracking number. I followed up today and the first suggestion was I hadn’t completed the form properly for the lab to run the test. I replied saying I had and it’s the second time I’d done the test and did the same both times and provided the tracking number.
I then got a response saying the lab confirmed they’ve never received it so Riyal Mail must have lost. The tracking shows delivered but granted there is no proof of delivery.
What I’ve found frustrating is the assumption in the first email without any questions or conversation to suggest the issue was my error and also a pet hate of mine the business clearly uses copy and paste to reply to emails and they were sloppy enough to send in two different fonts.
They’ve sent a replacement test, hopefully third time lucky. But I must be honest based on this experience i wouldn’t be in a rush to use them again.

I have had a look at the email that was sent and we did not suggest that you had not completed a form correctly. The form in question is auto populated by our system, so you not completing the form correctly would never be an issue - as it is not a requirement.
We asked if you remembered to include the pathology request form with the sample and for the return tracking code. The reason for these questions was to get information that would enable us to track down the sample. Patients not including the pathology request form is the number 1 reason for a delay, and having this information would help direct the customer service colleague to the correct department in the laboratory. This was not about attempting to attribute blame.
Armed with the information that you kindly provided, we were able to determine that despite the Royal Mail depot scan, this item was never delivered to the sample reception at our laboratory.
I know that this will be frustrating for you, but from what I can see, everything was dealt with very quickly and a replacement package was in the next Royal Mail collection a few hours after you first contacted us.
Given the volumes we process, things do occasionally go wrong, but we always put things right immediately and at no point do we blame the patient and try to evade responsibility.
Your first experience of using us was much more typical, as you can see from the other reviews.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require further assistance.
Update: We have taken onboard your comments and the email template used for this situation has been updated to include the steps taken by us before responding to the patient for further information.

Got an infection in my bladder and kidneys dark extremely foul smelling overnight stinking whole house out urgency for nothing antibiotics significantly reduce symptoms paid £64 for basic culture urine bacteria test and it was negative scammed me i want a refund!

I haven’t recieved all my results as yet as one takes longer which I knew about and happy to wait But I had one result sent to me at a weekend .. This company went above and beyond I highly recommend them even replied super fast to my emails over a weekend I don’t know of any other company who does that ? Highly recommend
