Ian Williams have never completed a job first time around on my property. If they even bother to turn up, It takes multiple, repeated attempts just to fix simple problems. Often never getting fixed and just being left not working.
They are cowboys who just bodge the issues so they can leave as quickly as possible.

Useless company and useless liaison officer Vanessa who is the most unhelpful person ever!

My partner is disabled and relys and the shower/bath I had to wait 2 weeks for them to change my bath taps, first they wanted me to wait a month for them to change them then the first appointment they made they didn't bother turning up the second appointment they did turn up but the workers very rude and obnoxious, they didn't know I heard them taking the mick out of my house and kept discussing cars while doing the work, one was whispering things so I know they were talking about me and my house, which is bang out of order, your there to do a job not discuss someone's house and living conditions, also just found out that they didn't actually replace the taps they just removed the middle bit with new bits, I asked for new taps not part of a new tap

Fitted a new bathroom suite last week the man that fitted it did a great job but the young lady who came out to do the painting did such a bad job leaving areas without a proper covering of paint and not removing plaster from fittings just painting round

Terrible company they exploit painters through agencies dont give them any ppe or materials.

Absolute joke of a company! Waited in for the 3rd scheduled appointment and the plumber turned up at 16:40 and lied to me and told me his paper work had incorrect details about the type of shower i have so he could not fix my shower as he needs to order the parts. He blamed the call taker for giving him incorrect details however i called ian williams after he left and they confirmed the details he had were correct and my shower on record was infact what i have. So the guy lied to me and ive waited in all day for no reason at all! He did tell me that he has just been and fixed one of my neighbours showers though and hers was the same as mine so she probably had my parts!! Absolute disgrace, i am still without a shower and also none the wiser on when it will be fixed!! It was supposed to be fixed on the 03/03/26 then on the 11/03/26 and then today, 18/03/26 so im guessing a whole week is going to go by again and he will more than likely cancel or turn up without parts again!! I already raised a complaint last week and was told today that i cant raise another as i have already complained once!! What!?

My door was repaired to a very safe standard today by owen friendly chap good at his job *****

Absolute bunch of cowboys not a clue on how to fit a wet room ripped it out twice as they couldn’t get the floor right and it was 35mm out then it was leaking in to the kitchen and they hadn’t put the tiles on right . The guy who was doing the work I asked him did u not check the floor and his reply was it’s not my job ??? Ok the the foreman he’s not a clue and pat a complete tube
I have no idea how they get the contract for the council reading so many bad reviews yet they are still bodging the work
They guys only work till 2 then off home to pick up his kids from school by 3.30pm and the foreman covers for him saying he will put in a full days work
When I said to Dan the foreman there is lots bad reviews he said that’s not for us as they have offices all over England but when you click the link on this website oh look takes you through to Ian Williams in Chippenham website so it is the right one

Update they asked me to email so I did 9th March but as expected zero response everybody think before you even consider these cowboys and choose someone else to do your work or report to your council and tell them to look at this page for reviews of this company

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered, all thanks to a guy who apparently thinks basic courtesy is optional. A new customer politely asked a few simple questions about the property, and instead of offering help, this guy immediately snapped with a condescending tone. He acted annoyed that anyone would dare ask for clarification, rolling his eyes and cutting the customer off mid-sentence.

Waited in for the electrician to repair outside light
He say he outside I looked at my cctv ??? He’s obviously not there
When I complained he lied saying he had attended if he had of attended then why is the light still broken and the cobwebs have not been disturbed rubbish company
The vans have trackers fitted the tracking placed him in a different place than my home close by

They are rude and dismissive on the phone. Not very helpful or quick to sort out issues or book appointments. The engineers frequently cancel in the day of or just don't turn up at all. We've even had a engineer turn up twice without an appointment and no idea what the job even was.
Takes absolutely ages to finally get an engineer out to do a job (some jobs have been waiting 12 months+). One job actually took 3 years of back and forth until it was finally fixed.
They seem to think that because they work for a housing association that we, as tenants, are somehow beneath them. That is made very clear in the way that we are spoken to by them. Judging by the other reviews on here, we are not the only ones to experience this either.
I told one on the phone that we couldn't keep taking days off work for engineers that don't even turn up, she was rude in her reply of 'we would just have to make it work'
If I had a choice I would never hire this company but unfortunately I don't. I would recommend people that do have a choice to stay well away from them.

They never arrive when they say they will. When ringing and chasing them up their excuse is they have had an emergency. We noticed a pattern of this repeated behaviour and complained multiple times. Nothing has changed!

One of your vans was driving inches away from my bumper all the way from scarborough to whitby today Wednesday 26th November around 2.45 pm. It was very intimidating.

I had a new kitchen and im so pleased with the work that was carried out and I can't remember the bloke name bit it was his first kitchen job and he done us proud we now have a more working kitchen 😀 40 Chilton way Hungerford Rg170jr

If I could give this company 0 stars I would as they don’t even deserve 1 star ratings! This company are a bunch of cowboys no matter what job they do it’s never done properly, I’m sick of being messed around by them they booked in appointments then rearranged so many times then they turn up Missable and under staffed and job don’t get completed or it’s just an bodge job, I don’t recommend them.
I’m not surprised that they have so many bad reviews as there useless!!

Best contractor EDDC have ever had a speedy service carried out by well mannered skilled staff

My social housing used them for external decoration. Resident liason officer was lovely - but nothing ever got done that i reported. I am now accused of " texting you 60 times in one evening" - how ? I do not have a mobile phone. I feel this is slanderous. Sorry. Same generic response, email them. When you do, no response. Ever.

Painted an outside cupboard in black gloss and managed to get paint on the UPVC door. They obviously were not taking due care and attention! Avoid!
Update. Unfortunately I had to have the same painter come to finish the bottom of the surround of the cupboard. Poor quality work again and white paint all over the black hinges!
I have emailed as the reply asked but not heard back yet!
Update 2. They never bothered to reply to 2 emails sent. Complained via housing association and finally someone got in touch and a guy is sorting out the door surround and repainting. Fingers crossed he will do a better job!

I've been left with a leaking toilet, holes in the walls where pipes have been removed, they cut the flooring to the wrong size and then covered it over with a larger threshold and a shit ton of sealant. I'm a social housing occupant under Orbit and I honestly wish I had never agreed to the replacement. When I look at it, I want to cry. How degrading that they clearly couldn't care less because we're in social housing. 3 day rush job. That I now have to fix. I wish there was a way to post all of the photos.

What a horrible company to work with. Completely lack of respect to a customer and just no standards at all . Will not recommend to my worst enemy .
