Rude staff

Our experience with John Forster estate agents was extremely disappointing. We dealt with female staff member.
was rude and dismissive. She repeatedly talked over us, leaving us feeling unable to explain ourselves or ask questions properly.

We felt spoken down to and treated as though we didn’t know what we were talking about. Her manner throughout the conversation came across as disrespectful and unprofessional.

Based on this experience, we would not recommend the company.

We have just sold our 3 bedroom semi detached family home with Jan Forster Estate Agents (Brunton Park).
From the first visit to this branch we spoke to Susi and felt that this was the Estate agents we were happy to use to sell our property.
The valuation team came out took lots of lovely pictures and got the house up for sale within hours of it going on line we had a viewing . The next few days we had several viewings and an offer that we accepted.
All of the team were professional , friendly and polite and kept us updated with every aspects of the sale in particular Lorraine Robinson and Susi Potrac. Thanks to the team .

In a world where we communicate via AI, it is such a refreshing change to find a friendly, knowledgeable and professional local Estate Agent.
Susi Potrac at the Gosforth branch is so responsive-super quick to both reply to, and resolve, any queries.
So refreshing to be able to speak to a real person who answers the phone swiftly and responds to emails/calls in real time.
A stark contrast to the distinct lack of any customer service on offer at my local Estate Agent in Westmoor.

Sold our home initially in June 2025 within 2 days of being on the market, with Jan Forsters advertising to their “waiting list” of customers for our property type/location. Chain broke down later that year through no fault of Jan Forsters who were brilliant throughout in chasing the chain. Jan Forsters advised us to remarket in March 2026, again sold within several days of advertising from proceedable buyers known to Jan Forsters. Sale completed 19/6/26 without any issues, wonderful service from Jan Forsters, (Susi in particular), and would highly recommend them to sell your home.

Sold property thanks to Susi and all at Jan Forster Estates. Very happy with everything they done from start to finish and would certainly recommend.

They tried to sell a subsidised house without disclosing any of this information to us, including the fact that the house sits on a mine entry. In addition, they conducted group viewings, which felt totally disrespectful. If there was too much interest, they should have pre-qualified potential buyers or simply been honest about the condition of the house.
