Audi buying made simple! Everything done swiftly and efficiently by Hamish. Nothing was too much trouble. Friendly and approachable, made extra effort to make the sale when I was being pulled elsewhere by dealer offers. Much appreciated as I didn't feel pressurised at all. Handover and run through was excellent too and very child friendly! Thanks to all the team for their help!

I reserved a car online which looked stunning, I viewed car one evening but salesman had gone home with the key, granted he did come back in with it. I decided I’d definitely take the car after being told a damaged alloy would be repaired. When I collected the car one week later, the alloy had only been painted over not repaired. The whole car actually looked worse than the evening I viewed it. The wheels and tyres were dirty and looked as though they had been off and stored. The wheel arches were dirty, just a total lack of presentation. I noticed what I felt was a nail in one of the tyres which I pointed out and a salesman picked it out saying it’s a stone! I had ordered and paid for private reg plates, to only discover there was one digit incorrect once I got home, (have now received the correct ones). Once at home later that evening to my dismay the very same tyre that I had pointed out as having a nail in it was completely flat. The next morning I called and reported this and was advised by the salesman to “blow it up and drive back here and we will put on a new tyre for you”. Doing that would have involved a 30 mile drive down a dual carriageway with a run flat tyre and the car computer stating to reduce to 50mph!! Anyhow my husband said no I wasn’t to do that “ it’s not safe, unbelievable a garage would even suggest such a thing, call out a tyre fitter” which I did. After around 1.5 hours I received an email from the salesman stating they would not have a tyre until Monday, now if I had driven to Dundee as he instructed, I would have gotten there to find no tyre available. I was advised to email in my receipt for the tyre, but I am disappointed no one from BMW Tayside called to ask if I got my tyre sorted and how I can be reimbursed. What I did receive was an email from the salesman asking is car was ok and to be sure to give him 10/10 for his accreditation, this is simply unacceptable and rude. Luckily for BMW Tayside the BMW brand is what will bring in customers certainly not John Clark staff, I would not recommend John Clark.

Good customer service from David Anderson at John Clark, Dundee. Excellent communication at the point of purchase, with regular telephone and email updates whilst awaiting shipment and delivery of new car. Demonstration and overview of vehicle at the point of collection. Whole process was met with ease, assurance and I was kept well informed throughout.

The staff were 1st class and the sales person Siannon McQuillan was excellent, Nothing was too much trouble and nothing was too much trouble.

Mathew Hawkins was knowledgeable and patient in assisting me finding the right car. The process was smooth, I am thrilled with my new vehicle.

Bought a used Kia Niro late August 2026.
Pros
Keylan was very helpful. Answered questions, sent me a video etc.
He arranged test drive and handover.
Agreed a good trade in deal.
Love the car. Drives very smoothly and I’m currently achieving about 60mpg.
Received written confirmation of 3 year service contract from Kia.

Cons
Despite being advertised on Kia Used car website the vehicle was not available to view at dealers premises.
Arrived at dealer one week later.
Car was not properly cleaned when we received it. Dirt in lower boot level not properly vacuumed, sticky substance on passenger door mirror (difficult to remove) and rear skid plate not properly cleaned.
Received inaccurate information on Kia Assist from Kia. Wrong name, inaccurate mileage and confusing start and finish date for Kia Assist cover. This has still to be rectified 7 weeks after taking delivery of car.
The above points mean I cannot honestly give a 5 star rating.

Overall good experience

Jason was very helpful and knowledgeable when ordering my mini. I’m very happy with my purchase and I would recommend mini to others.

The salesman Andrew was very accomodating and pointed me in the direction of a vehicle that met my needs.

Stuart was great from start to finish. The whole experience was extremely smooth, with useful videos sent, and Stuart was extremely helpful and responsive throughout. A completely hassle-free and friendly experience.

Overall experience was very good. Robbie Norrie gave clear information of what my offer would be, gave me time to think over without feeling pressured.
After we agreed on the sale Robbie was great at keeping in touch, sending all the relevant emails/links for signature.
Other staff we also met at Tayside BMW were very nice. Would consider dealing with them again in the future.

Greatexperince buying the car salesman was realy helpful.My real issue was the car wasnt as clean as expected , valeting was a bit poor . Inside door checks not clean and windows could have come up better.

My 78 year old Step dad put his 2 year old car here for its service and was told he needed new brake discs and pads at a cost of £546... They rebooked appointment and ordered parts but were happy for him to drive away home that day so it couldnt have been that bad!.. After us talking to him while he was there he canceld the appointment they made for him and he arranged a 2nd opinion else where... which turns out he didn't need any of the work done Dacia told him he would and only cost him £150... im disgusted at Dacia, imagine praying on old vulnerable people!...

Felt it was more about monthly sales targets than my purchasing a new car.
A lot of info online which could/should have been gone over in person but was not offered. Felt pressured into getting the salesman’s paperwork completed.

The main advantage here is the product. BYD make excellent vehicles at really affordable prices. The range of vehicles is also good and the fact that many are all electric is a great bonus in times when fossil fuel prices and security are reaching unaffordable levels. Dundee JC Manager Brian Rumgay helped make the purchase very exciting.
