DIsgusting and distressing experience
My incredible, much loved dog had to be put to sleep a few weeks ago and my vet kindly submitted a claim on my behalf. I called the. RKC and informed them and they told me to cancel my direct debit and submit the claim for his purchase price via the online site under ‘other treatment’ including the receipt and breeder certificate. I did this. Over two weeks later, 7 telephone calls, lots of emails and lots of misguided advice and instructions from the RKC agents and I still do not have a settlement. They continue to try and evade paying out on my claim. A claims resolution agent called me to tell me the claim was being prioritised and that I would receive a settlement in a couple of days and now the same agent has emailed to tell me they have cancelled the policy according to my instructions -( I asked them to leave the policy in place so I could still see the details on line, ) and that I now have to submit a handwritten form for the claim. there are no forms on the website anymore. they have given ,e false information, misleading information and massively increased the distress of this loss. I have always paid my policy promptly and have always followed their instructions for the claim and now they just want to wriggle out of paying at the end. do not go with this company - they only want your money and really do not care about dogs or customers.

I understand how upsetting it must have been to receive a review email about your new pets policy with us around the same time you sadly had another pet put to sleep. We truly are very sorry about this. We never intended to cause such distress to yourself at such a sad time for you.

What made me choose Royal Kennel Club Insurance…
The lady I spoke to initially answered all my questions to help me decide which insurers to go with as I had a couple in mind but did not need to look any further. Luckily as our puppy is only 5 months old I have not experienced making a claim. However it is nice to receive informative emails from time to time.
