Situation was desperate. Both keys locked inside car and on a Sunday I’m pretty handy but after 3 hours of trying to open a door I decided to seek help. I called a Key Me location near me and associate took my information gave me a quote and led me through the process. I minutes later received an E mail with status showing a responding associate was in route to my location. After a reasonable amount of time a very polite and knowledgable associate arrived resolved my problem.

Oh, you guys came through when my son needed you and I wasn’t able to get to him to help so according to him, you guys got him in his car very quickly and also gave him some money saving advice on getting his key fob replaced for his car so I consider that going above and beyond

I am writing regarding a service request # XSPPYA we placed for a new key to be made for our truck, as our driver was unable to locate the original keys.

Unfortunately, the service that was dispatched did not fulfill the service we requested. The technician who arrived only unlocked the truck and then informed us that he was not a locksmith and could not make a new key.

There was also an issue with the technician assignment. Your company initially assigned a technician to this service, but the first technician did not show up. Your team then assigned another technician to the job without our approval. We received messages on the driver's cell phone stating that the first technician could not come and that another technician had been assigned to the job. We are attaching a picture of those messages for your reference.

The replacement technician who arrived also stated that he could not make a key. Therefore, the service we originally requested was not completed.

In addition, full payment of $174.06 was made for this service. Since the requested locksmith/key-making service was not provided and the technician dispatched was unable to perform the requested work, we request that you initiate a full refund of $174.06.

We request that this matter be resolved promptly and that the full $174.06 payment be refunded.

Outstanding service. I contacted them to replace my lost car key. They responded very quickly and the process took about 5 minutes.

Overpriced, over charging customers that are in distress, $178.00 to send someone a short distance to unlock the car door and insisted on full payment prior to dispatching the locksmith.
The technician that arrived said it should cost around $40.00 to $60.00

I thought the service was fine even though they showed up 3 hours late for an appointment I scheduled in the morning. It was expensive and if I knew about the 90 dollar service fee I would have reconsidered.

Key me is the place to go for all your lock needs. I got off my 12 hour long overnight healthcare job and realized my car keys were no where to be found . The technician michael was awesome, He got to me on time , was very respectful, professional and reassuring, he explained everything so clearly and made sure to do the best he could to get me off the street as soon as possible. Keys were replaced perfectly, much better than the original ones I had . Works great , go get your keys !

I had a very disappointing experience with Key Me Locksmiths in San Antonio**.

I called because I was locked out of my vehicle. I was not quoted a price over the phone, and the technician did not give me a price before beginning the work. **

The technician simply unlocked my car door. **Only AFTER the job was completed was, I told the charge was $205.

Had I been told beforehand that opening my car door would cost $205, I would not have agreed to the service and would have called another company.

My biggest issue isn't simply the amount—it is that I believe the **total price should have been clearly disclosed before the work was performed**, giving me the opportunity to accept or decline it.

Based on my experience, I would not use this service again.

⚠️ CONSUMER TIP: If you're locked out of your vehicle, don't let the urgency of the situation stop you from asking:

**“What is the TOTAL price, including service call, labor and any other fees, BEFORE you start?”**

Get that amount in writing if possible.

I paid $205 just to have my locked car door opened. I hope sharing my experience helps another San Antonio resident ask the right questions before agreeing to service.

My locksmith was the best! He was extremely patient, knowledgeable and understanding of my situation. He was prompt, professional and very helpful. I lost the key to a rental truck and he quickly took care of it for me. The price and service was amazing.
