The only reason I give two stars is because they unlocked my car quickly.
Things that I didn't like:
Them not giving me a timeframe. They just said we'll be right there every time we called. It was about an hour or more that we waited.
They didn't tell us how much it would cost. The phone rep told us there was a $40 service fee but happened to not mention the $225 price to unlock the car (in five minutes of work).
When they got there they wouldn't have even told us the price if I hadn't asked them and then treated me in a way that I didn't feel like I could back out.
Their invoice didn't have enough information for my insurance to process it to not we have to go through everything.
Update: the invoice the technician gave me didn't have enough information for the insurance to process so the whole payment was out of pocket.

I left a positive review after using the machine at Las Vegas Walmart but that was based on how quick the process was. I should have waited. The machine did not give a receipt and Walmart said I needed to call KeyMe. And the machine did not give me a key, said it would be mailed in a week. A month and no key. Was told to go online, enter order number and I would get a refund. But did not get a receipt so I did not have an order number. Will absolutely never use them again.

I was charged $297 for 10 seconds of work. Not to mention the $40 service fee if you use a card to pay. None of this was disclosed to me prior to providing service. Predatory pricing at its finest. I highly recommend giving your business to someone who will not take advantage of you when you’re locked out of your car.

I was locked out of my car and called KeyMe. They told me the price range was $19-$200. When the technician arrived he charged me $360 and would not explain why, he just kept repeating "This is what the company charges".
I paid this ridiculous amount only because I was alone and felt very intimidated. I figured I could work out the correct price with the company later. Nope. I called customer service and they told me the technician can change the price, the quotes are not honored, and I had agreed to pay $360 and that is that. I asked for an itemized receipt which I have not received. Avoid this company at all costs.

Extremely overpriced. Terrible job .The guy drilled a hole and left the deadbolt on the door than charged $300 when he didn’t even replace the lock

Be prepared for incompetence and aggravation. The locksmith (Javier) installed a keypad lock so that one handle faced the hinges while the other faced the door frame. He insisted that’s the only way it could be installed. I called the manufacturer after the visit who said this wasn’t true. When I spoke with the locksmith he was adamant and didn’t seem to be willing to consider he might be wrong. I called their complaints dept. and asked for a different technician. I was told they’d have to charge us again. The original guy came back, refused my offer to connect him with the manufacturer, tried drilling another hole in the handle that didn’t work, went out and bought a new lock (same model at my insistence), and installed it fine. It took over a week to get it done right. The only reason there’s one star instead of none is that he came back a second time to make it right.

I needed 5 keys made for work and NONE of the keys worked for me. When I called customer service, they refunded me quickly and asked what else they could help me with. When I asked how can I make the keys so they work and the response was "hold the key firmer into the machine while it makes the copies." That's what I did, as the screen directed me to do so... I'm not happy with the service or the response received. Now I have to go out of my way again to find a different location to make copies. I will never use the KeyMe again!

I called to have 3 doors rekeyed and one keyless lock installed. The person on the phone could not give me an estimate, had to have a tech call. He said hed be out in 45 minutes (no quote). Half an hour later he calls back to say he got stuck on a job, another hour and ten minutes. He finally arrives and looks at the locks. He quotes me $1800!! I reiterated i wanted them rekeyed not changed. He tells me he cannot do that. Absolutely not. He was mad and left, thankfully without trying to charge me for his time. All locksmiths should be able to rekey a door.

I purchased a KeyMe. Never received after 3 weeks. Went to the wrong address and their response was that they could not send another order and refunded me.

Called for a quote. When called back told them I didn't need the quote. Told me they had to charge me nearly $100. For what I don't know considering I found my keys right before they called me back. Told them no and hung up. Now I'm getting nothing but spam calls from my area code. 7 alone today. Block and report but they still keep coming up with new numbers. One of which said on Google belonged to an older deceased person. Nothing but a scam thinking people are stupid enough to pay that much just for making a call to ask for a call back on a quote.

Don’t use key me. Unprofessional and the aren’t able to answer simple questions. It’s always we will have a technician call you. When I the technician called I asked if I was able to use the kiosk he started yelling. I called back to asked to speak to supervisor. They would not let me. I called again to asked to speak to someone else. The guy kept hanging up on me. Very rude. I rather pay the money at the dealer

I have a freightliner, sprinter van and want a key fob made.
Terrible customer service. I called to get a quote for a key fob, and they told me a technician would call me back. When he finally called—about 45 minutes to an hour later—I missed the call. Because of that, I was told I’d have to schedule another appointment just to speak to someone for a simple quote.

I asked if I really needed to reschedule just to get a price, and they confirmed that was the only option. Frustrated, I checked my missed calls and called back, explaining that I just needed a quote. The technician then said he’d have to transfer me to customer service. I told him I didn’t need customer service, just a price—at which point he hung up on me.

This company is completely unprofessional. If you value your time, avoid them. I do not recommend their service at all.

If I could give them a zero, I would.

Do not use Keyme locksmiths! I had a nightmare experience. I was told 80 dollars to open 1 screen door as long as it's simple. After 5 minutes to open. He wanted $150 + $14 tax for a total of $164. Then we started arguing and he insulted me calling me cheap. In the end I gave the guy 150 dollars just to get him off my property. He hardly knew English, sounded Russian, and was rude the whole time. Complained to Keyme and they told me I have to call another company. Keyme is shady, the company they hire is shady, and the people that show up are shady. Stay away for your own safety!

Yes, the locksmith opened our door but I asked the price on the phone and he said $80-$150. $80 for low end and $150 if it’s higher end and need to do something to the door. He proceeded to unlock the door in 1 minute and charge $150. I asked why and he said they charge for miles and minutes. But on the phone he said it was $80 to come to my home. Super shady. I wouldn’t use them again.

I made three copies of our front door key. Only one worked and it didn’t work smoothly. $20 for one inferior key. I had the same key copied twice at Lowe’s for a lot less per key and didn’t have to pay extra to have them deburred. The Lowe’s key’s were made of much heavier metal and worked exactly as well as the original. I suggested to the Walmart that maybe they should repot this to their corporate quality department. BAD experience!

I just finished reading all the negative reviews. I add mine to them. BEWARE. I had a service call scheduled by a KeyMe representative. No show. When I called back the person on the phone said they have no technicians in the area and no record of my previous communication and appointment. Judging from the reviews I just read, I'm lucky that no one showed up. I strongly recommend that you do not utilize this organizaion.

I waited over two hours in the freezing cold in the dark at 3:30 in the morning by myself as a single woman and the dispatcher said a technician would call me shortly and they never called. This company is ridiculous.

I would like to add that I called them to discuss the matter and they were extremely rude and dismissive and I can’t emphasize enough. Do not use this company. One of their contractors called me five days later to see if I needed help lol five days I would’ve been dead idiot

I order 3 keys and paid 33 dollars. They don't match the key I put in the machine. I got pictures. It came in the mail with metal broken cuts. All 3 keys where cut differently. They promise 3-5 Buniess days but it took weeks to come. They reject refunds even when I got picture proof and their 100% wrong. Better off telling FTC about their bs.

They do not even deserve 1 star. We called them after our keys we locked in our car during negative degree whether. First the representative on the phone quoted us more then thr website did for the service. When we asked about the price difference he quickly lowered to the websites quote. They then charged our card 165 dollars and guaranteed a locksmith would be there in 30 minutes. After 20 minutes of waiting we recieved a text notification stating that they could not find anyone and that they would refund our money and we would see it in 3 to 5 businesses days. The only problem with that is now our money is tied up in the banking system and we no longer have the money to hire a different locksmith. All because they charged us before they had insured a locksmith was available. We then spend the next hour and a half on the phone with their customer service, who failed to realize how big of an issue they had just created and refused to help. Instead they just kept stating they were returning the money. They are not a reputable service. Your better off calling a 24 hour local tow service then using this company.
