King's InterHigh Reviews 

My son has thoroughly enjoyed his first two weeks and said he has learnt so much. He looks forward to his lessons which are always engaging. The teachers are encouraging and friendly.

My child started here as Y7 and any concerns we had about how this would work have been eased straight away. The teachers are great, lessons are highly interactive, and the class sizes are small (~15). Within the first couple of weeks we are already invited to a school trip this term and bowling night. There are also after school clubs to choose from.
This is a very well organized school who has decades of experience in online schooling. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

First of all, I would like to thank the teaching staff at KIH for their professional and meticulous approach to their students. The teaching, at least in the International Baccalaureate program, is of a high standard and results-oriented.

However, KIH's administrative approach to documents, and especially to sending out IB diplomas, leaves an impression of exceptional unprofessionalism. The problem of late arrival of paper diplomas at IB schools is not unique to KIH. However, the school's approach to the problem only exacerbates it.

In several European countries, a physical IB diploma is a required document for university enrollment. Failure to receive it on time threatens successful enrollment. Given these circumstances, the school does not strive for transparent and effective communication with students and parents. Replies to emails are delayed and contain no useful information. Even approximate dates for when the school will receive diplomas and send them to students are not provided. The school's response states that the parcels also do not have tracking numbers.

Unfortunately, several students encountered this problem this year, and some also suspected the school was intentionally or unintentionally misleading them about the whereabouts of their IB diplomas. Due to the lack of tracking numbers, it's impossible to confirm or deny this. It's worth remembering that the procedure of replacing a lost IB diploma costs approximately $86 and lasts up to 28 days, and the student's family bears the cost.

I'm sure many students would appreciate assistance from the school during the stressful period of entering university. Unfortunately, it appears that after charging tuition, KIH loses interest in its students.

UPDATE: Dear KIH team, thank you for your response.
I'd like to clarify that the issue isn't the missing diploma. I fully understand that diplomas can arrive late at all IB schools.
The problem is that on September 14th, KIH claims that the diplomas had already been sent out. On September 16th, KIH sends an email stating that the diplomas won't arrive at school until late October. On September 17th, other students receive a reply stating that their diplomas are already at the Head Office.
A document of such importance can't exist like Schrödinger's cat. I believe a student has the right to receive accurate and complete information.

My daughter attended Kings Interhigh for three years. Within this time the amount of unnecessary stress I have had to endure has been endless.

This school operates one of the worst accounts departments I have ever come across in my adult life. They are BLIND, DEAF and DUMB beyond belief,

I have been repeatedly harassed by them for school fees which due to their technical errors kept showing my account in arrears. Every month I had to send proof of payments to them following receiving constant threatening emails from them.

I have been overcharged many times. There have been occasions where they have withdrawn money from my account without my consent to cover cost of school trips that my child wasn’t even included a part off.

I have been battling with them to get my monies back.They never answer the phone. They barely reply to emails.

You may have an urgent problem or enquiry and you could be waiting for weeks for a response.

It’s a shambles! I am so relieved that my child isn’t in this School now as the academic side is nothing to leap with joy about either!

I’ve had a very poor experience with this school. A total waste of money.

Very helpful when you tell them you’re interested in joining. Then once they get your money, you have to make repeated phone calls to chase the admissions team up. They never return your calls, and you can only speak to what appears to be a call centre. My son was due to start on Monday but they are “very busy” and can’t complete his admission paperwork on time, and could not give me a start date.
Upon digging a little deeper, once you join the school, if there are any issues you can either ring the contact centre or speak to an AI bot. Seems like a money making operation where the teachers aren’t paid very well, and there are up to 100 children per class.
Would definitely not recommend.

Dreadful, dreadful company. Used for a short time for home schooling our daughter. Wasn't overly impressed with service so cancelled at end of school term. We paid for the term in full, our £500 deposit held on the account and received confirmation in writing from them that we were up to date with payments so assumed the £500 they held cleared any money owed.

TWO YEARS later, out of nowhere, a debt collection company started harassing us for money which we were not aware of and did not believe we owed.

We received zero communications from Kings Inter High in this two year period. After speaking to the agency and asking for details of the debt, we contacted Kings Inter High to ask for more information.

Prior to this review being published, Kings refused to send us proof of debt or a statement of account saying it was in the hands of the collection agency and they couldn't help.

Kings Inter High also attempted to have this review removed for defamatory remarks, however Trustpilot agreed our account is factual and left the review in place.

I am rarely motivated to leave a review, more so a negative one, but I do not appreciate contact from debt collection agencies for a two year old debt that we were not made aware of. They could have called us if emails were not replied to, they could have written and in fact should have sent a recorded letter to us before they transferred the debt to a collector.

The accounts team at Kings sent us the statement of account yesterday, but only after we posted this review. After looking at the statement, it appears we had to continue paying after the end of enrollment for the remainder of they year. They took the £500 deposit, leaving £235 outstanding which is the sum we were not made aware of and the sum we paid in full this morning to the debt collection agency Kings passed our account to.

Since my daughter has started at Kings InterHigh, she has really made great progress and has made great friends.

She loves the classes and she enjoys the engagement with her fellow students. The fact she has her school friends is great, and our worry that she will be isolated has turned out to be a non-issue.

Finally, she really enjoys her subjects and has gone from a shy girl into someone who will participate in class activities and in the student chat sessions.

What an amazing experience! We live in rural Scotland where receiving a good education is becoming increasingly difficult, long travel times due to school closures and a decrease in exams being offered is beginning to close doors on student’s futures, not open them. Our 11 year old daughter really struggled with making friendships since moving here, she really felt she didn’t fit in with her classmates in the last year of primary school and moving schools made it worse, her confidence was knocked and her self esteem had deteriorated.
Since she joined KIH in the last term of the 25/26 year, the change in our daughter was drastic. Her confidence in answering questions, speaking out loud and making friends was amazing. She has spent the summer holidays so excited to start secondary school. A very big thank you to Dr Penny, Mr Bressier, Mr Brain and Mr Leak, you made our daughters last year of primary school a special one, even if it was only for 4 months. Thank you for helping her enjoy education again.

A tip for new parents/carers, join every parent/teacher session offered to you on the induction week with your child, you’ll be able to understand the different formats of where to find activities, set work and how to submit their work. The extra time you give to your child will help them in the long run!

Our three boys are all full time professional ski racers travelling the world. Balancing education with professional sport had became too much and the boys education was suffering along with the ability to dedicate enough time to their sport. Then we found King's InterHigh and everything changed. The support for the boys was magnificent. Totally flexible and built around the boys needs. The tuition was just what was needed and we could constantly discuss the boys needs and build the programme. We cannot recommend King's InterHigh enough.

Please be very careful before signing the contract

I enrolled my daughter with King’s InterHigh following the suicide of her father. She was struggling significantly with her mental health, social anxiety and accessing mainstream school, and at the time I was desperate to find an alternative that would allow her to continue her education.

King’s InterHigh presented itself as a very welcoming, understanding and supportive environment, particularly for children who were struggling to access conventional education. For a period of time, it did work for us, and I am grateful for that.

Unfortunately, my own mental health following the traumatic loss of my husband meant that I did not fully understand the financial commitment I was entering into. I believed I had more flexibility to withdraw than the contract actually allowed. I absolutely accept that I signed the agreement and that customers have a responsibility to read terms and conditions carefully.

However, I also think organisations working extensively with vulnerable children and families need to recognise the circumstances in which many parents are approaching them.

When my daughter was able to return to mainstream education and our financial circumstances became increasingly difficult, I withdrew her. I subsequently discovered that I remained liable for the fees under the contract. I explained our circumstances and appealed, hoping that there might be some discretion given the bereavement, my mental health at the time of enrolment and our subsequent financial difficulties. My appeal was refused.

I have now paid what was owed, despite finding it extremely difficult financially.

What has stayed with me most is the contrast between how supported I felt when joining and how isolated I felt when trying to leave. Communication became difficult and I felt there was very little human consideration of the circumstances behind our situation.

I am not writing this review because I believe contracts should simply be ignored when circumstances change. I am writing it because families often arrive at online schools at extremely vulnerable points in their lives. Children experiencing school avoidance, anxiety, bereavement or additional needs frequently have parents who are themselves exhausted, grieving or struggling.

I believe a school operating in this area has a responsibility to make significant financial commitments exceptionally clear and accessible at the point of enrolment, rather than relying on parents in crisis to fully appreciate the implications of the small print.

There also needs to be a compassionate and meaningful process for exceptional circumstances. In our experience, that compassion simply wasn't there when we needed it.

My advice to other parents is therefore to read every part of the contract extremely carefully, particularly the withdrawal and payment terms, and make sure you understand exactly what you will remain liable for if your child's circumstances change.

King’s InterHigh may be the right educational solution for some children, and parts of our experience were positive. But based on what happened to our family, I would urge vulnerable families to be extremely cautious about the financial commitment they are entering into.

I studied at King's InterHigh for the Cambridge A Levels, from September 2023 to July 2025. Thanks to the brilliant teachers and staff at the school, my studies were a breeze!

Every lesson was well-planned and engaging, with a bonus point being that A-Level classes here are divided into lecture and seminar-style sessions. This really helps students prepare for university life, whilst ensuring that they interact with many peers too!

In addition to this, I would add that King's InterHigh has brilliant pastoral and alumni support systems. Students can be assured that the school looks after their best interests, academically or otherwise, throughout their studies and their journey afterwards.

Overall, I'd highly recommend King's InterHigh to anyone interested in online schooling, or even private education in general. My time here was amazing and unforgettable!

Overall, our experience with Kings InterHigh has been positive in some areas, particularly when it comes to communication and organisation. Communication from the school has generally been very good, and my daughter’s timetable was organised well in advance, which made planning and settling into the routine much easier. Support and help are also readily available whenever needed, which provides reassurance as a parent.

However, I do feel there are areas that could be improved. The online platform itself feels quite uncolourful and, at times, not particularly user-friendly. I had also expected there to be more opportunities for students to interact and build friendships with one another through the platform. However, with video and sound turned off, the experience can feel quite isolated and lacks the social interaction that you would normally expect from a traditional school environment.

There are opportunities and encouragement for children to meet outside the virtual classroom, which is a positive idea. Unfortunately, our experience of this was not particularly successful, as my daughter found some of the children to be unfriendly and, at times, unkind. Of course, every child’s experience will be different, but I think the social aspect is something worth considering carefully when choosing an online school.

I’m not sure I would recommend Kings InterHigh to someone specifically looking to replicate the full experience of a traditional school through an online platform. In that situation, I would suggest exploring local home-education groups, tutors and other community-based learning opportunities, which may also be more cost-effective and provide greater opportunities for face-to-face social interaction.

That said, if you are looking for the reassurance and peace of mind that your child is enrolled in a structured school environment, following a timetable and receiving support with their education, I do feel Kings InterHigh works well at that level. Ultimately, I think it depends on what you are looking for from an online school and how important the social and community aspects are for your child.

My sons Reflect teacher, Mr Nevan was also a great point of contact. He Assisted with different requests promptly and was able to put me in contact with the department that handled my query each time.

My son gained confidence to work in a group and feels included. The teachers are aware of his difficulties and are very supportive and fun too which makes learning motivating and engaging.
Just the math teacher was changing several times during the first 2 semesters which added some stress and anxiety. However, the school managed to solve this problem during the last term.

I liked how the teachers were nice and were very persistent on us learning and most were patient with me when i was late due to going to another school. I liked how for specific subjects, subjects the teachers were very kind to me even though i came in late in the second term, and they really made it enjoyable to learn the content even though some of it was hard.

My daughter joined King's InterHigh partway through the year, after Christmas, and it's worked out really well. She's very into engineering and STEM subjects, and both the teaching and the study materials have clearly added value — you can see it in how engaged she's been.
Despite starting mid-year, she finished her first academic year with 7s and 8s across every subject. Really pleased with how well she's settled in and progressed. Would recommend, especially if your child is STEM-focused.
