Order arrived damaged

My order arrived damaged and I raised an after-service request to get it replaced. However, I have not heard back after nearly two weeks. I have tried calling customer service a few times but am always told all the agents are busy.

I ordered my balcony furniture nearly 4…

I ordered my balcony furniture nearly 4 weeks ago and it still had not arrive even though it said 4-8 business days. I get updates from them saying slightly delayed which still show estimated delivery in the past. Twice this week it says estimated delivery last Thursday. Unacceptable and it takes a number of days to get a response. I will never use again and have no idea when I will get the furniture so I can sit out on our balcony.

Shipping updates need improvement

Great website, an offer on price, however the shipping has taken over 3 weeks (still hasn’t arrived) and I do not feel confident about when it is going to arrive.
The shipping tracker could do with an improvement.
When spending over £1500 I would have hoped for more updates on where the order is.
Had I known it was coming from Southern France and would take 3+weeks to arrive, I would have spent slightly more money from a company closer to me (in England).

Trust pilot is asking me what I thought…

Trust pilot is asking me what I thought of my order BUT I have not received it !!
I have tried to contact Made in Design but can only do so via email. The telephone number provided does not get you through to anyone.
Made in Design have responded to my email query by cancelling the query by saying you have merged the queries ? Why not just answer the query ?

Extremely disappointing service – no shipping, no communication

I placed an order for an item that was listed as available, but two weeks later, it still hasn’t been shipped. There have been no meaningful updates on my order status.

What’s even more frustrating is the complete lack of customer service. I’ve sent multiple messages asking for updates and have received no response at all. Being ignored as a customer is unacceptable.

At this point, I have no idea when (or if) my order will be dispatched.

This is very disappointing, and I would not recommend ordering from them based on the lack of transparency and support.

Happy buyer with caveats

I was very pleased with my item. I didn't know it was being shipped from France but it arrived a few weeks after ordering. It was held up in uk customs for over a week but was pleased with the price, tracking updates and that there were no import duties to pay (which was a worry when I realised it was coming from Europe.

That being said, I keep getting promo emails from them, I hit unsubscribe every time and I still keep getting them. I've tried unsubbing in Chrome, Firefox and with the email link to no avail.

If this changes I'll update the feedback and give 5 stars. It should be a simple thing to do considering GDPR regulations.

Have to chase continually for updates.

Customer services not replying

I ordered 10 days ago and the parcel is stuck with the shipping company. I tried contacting made in design but nobody replied.
Looking at the other reviews here I am worried the parcel will never exit the country.

The item has been stuck in France…

The item has been stuck in French customs for two weeks — the location of shipping a fact they don’t really make clear from the website — due to paperwork not supplied. Customer service has been sporadic, phoning them just resulted in them saying they’ll take care of it with no hard evidence and no follow up. Still waiting

Terrible customer service

*Update* we are still awaiting a response to our reply from last week - this company will make a cursory attempt to resolve your issues but will not actually be able to follow through.. if I could I'd remove the 1 star and set it to zero. Expensive products that cause endless issues thanks to a terrible customer service team.

Terrible customer service - we recieved a product on 5th May that was damaged in transit and we've had no response. The products seem nice but if you are recieving faulty goods and they don't respond to your emails is there any point ordering through them..? If you are going to order through them at least use Paypal so you can claim money back when it all goes wrong.

Good range of design classics and efficient service

Good range of design classics and delivery was well organised and the product arrived in perfect condition. My only frustration was that I couldn't find the optional castors that can be added to the Kartell Componibili on the website and ended up having to order them separately later and paying a second delivery charge.

We purchased garden furniture, and although delivery was slightly delayed while it went through UK customs, the item arrived in pristine condition. The transport packaging was among the best I have ever seen, and the quality of the furniture itself is exceptional.
