Poor customer service
Poor customer service. The article I bought broke after 2 weeks. I didn’t get a reply for a month until I chased. I was then asked to return the piece of furniture in its original packaging (6 weeks after the delivery…). I am still waiting for a resolution

Defects which happen with the use of a product fall under the manufacturer’s warranty. In such cases, we usually wait for their response before taking further action. However, as an exception, we agreed to proceed with a replacement before receiving their decision.
As suggested during our phone call today, we will wait for the manufacturer’s reply. If they confirm the return is necessary, we will work with you to find a solution for the packaging.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding — especially as the delay from the manufacturer is beyond our control.

Incredible quality from Kartell and great service from Made in Design
We move into our house 24 years ago and bought a set of Kartell Maui chairs - last week like a slob , I lent back and cracked the chair, my fault - it split in half. I’ve just ordered a new one from France - it took 3 days to be delivered - looks identical to the other chairs which are 24 years old and was cheaper now than it was then

Highly recommended!
Products are lovely. What most impressed me was the smooth delivery process of the items. Since leaving the European Union, ordering items from Europe has been a bit challenging at times. However, this company charged a reasonable price for postage to the UK, a quick and efficient delivery service, as well as providing regular updates about my parcel's journey. The whole process was so professional and efficient. I will be ordering again from Made in Design. So, thank you for providing quality products and an excellent service.

Faulty Products
I received cups from them that were damaged and tried to send them back the same day. It has been a week of me emailing them everyday for a return label but no response. They also made me submit photos for proof of the box and product? It was absurd. Very easy to purchase but many obstacles to send it back and receive a refund.
Update on their response: it took several emails per day on my behalf to ever get a response. I started to use every email provided on the website in order to get their attention. After a week of intense chasing, I finally received a response.

We are very sorry to hear that you have received damaged glasses and are having difficulty obtaining a return label.
According to the exchange of emails, as soon as you made your complaint, our customer service department responded quickly and asked you for the additional information needed to process your request. That is the proceedure. On receipt of this information, a returns form and return label were emailed to you on 29 April.
We are currently awaiting the return of the damaged prducts in order to process the refund.
We sincerely apologise for the delay and the inconvenience this has caused.

J'ai effectué un retour d'article le 26/02/25 pour une demande de remboursement. L'article arrive chez eux le 10/03/25 (suivi de la poste) mais Made in design refuse de procéder au remboursement car ils disent n'avoir rien recu.
Je procède à un envoi de preuves de dépot/ réception de mon colis MAIS RIEN A FAIRE ils refusent le remboursement. INCOMPREHENSIBLE. SAV Mediocre, A fuir.

Nous sommes désolés d’apprendre que votre expérience avec notre service n’a pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes.
Notre service client a pris contact avec vous afin d’éclaircir la situation. Comme précisé dans notre échange, le justificatif de dépôt que vous avez fourni ne mentionne pas l’adresse de livraison. De plus, le suivi indique un problème avec l’adresse de destination, ce qui soulève plusieurs incohérences et ne permet malheureusement pas de confirmer que votre colis nous est bien parvenu.
Il est important de noter que notre entrepôt ne dispose pas de boîte aux lettres, il n’est donc pas possible qu’un colis ait été déposé sans remise en main propre à nos équipes. La bonne livraison du colis de retour reste sous la responsabilité de l’expéditeur, et en l’absence de preuve formelle de réception à notre adresse, nous sommes dans l'obligation de demander des documents complémentaires.
Sachez toutefois que comme confirmé par notre service client, votre remboursement sera bien effectué dans les plus brefs délais. Nous vous demandons malgré tout de faire le suivi de votre retour et de bien ouvrir une enquête auprès du transporteur.
Nous restons bien entendu à votre disposition si vous avez d’autres questions.

Assembling garden bench
The bench was great both in quality and design. The only downside was it had to be assembled, which I found the instructions were not that great took a lot longer than I expected, but at the end had a super bench.

Auch bei mir keinerlei Reaktion auf eine Reklamation. Die gelieferte Ware ist defekt! Schlecht verpackt! Auch die Umverpackung des Gegenstandes war in keinem guten Zustand - eher B-Ware zuzuordnen. Ich würde jedem davon abraten hier zu bestellen. Seid einer Woche warte ich auf eine Rückmeldung und ich habe die Firma mehrfach angeschrieben. Es ist einfach nur ärgerlich!

I ordered three tables
I ordered three tables, two turned up, eventually the third did but when I contacted 'Made in Design' they took days to reply. By the time they did, the third table turned up.
