Martyn Gerrard Estate Agents Reviews

My experience with Martyn Gerrard has been extremely frustrating and unacceptable.

Communication was consistently poor and never improved, even after raising concerns multiple times. It felt disorganised and careless throughout, with no real attempt to address the issues.

The most concerning part was being hit with sudden charges with no explanation. Even worse, the attitude was essentially that I had to pay regardless, without transparency or justification. This kind of behaviour is completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Customer service overall was a nightmare — unhelpful, dismissive, and difficult to deal with. Instead of resolving problems, they seemed to make the situation more stressful.

I would strongly advise others to be very cautious. Make sure every cost is clearly confirmed in writing, as you may otherwise be faced with unexpected charges and very little support.

I let my flat through Daniel Harris in Crouch End. From beginning to end, the service has been 5*. As a first time landlord, Dan helped keep me on track (but never pushy), was straight talking with an honest, no bull approach, and great sense of humour. He helped me organise things and was solution-orientated. Within 2 days he had secured two decent offers. Highly recommend.

I'm very happy with the person who looks after my flat in Banet. She's very patients and does all she can to help me as I'm unsure of lots of things and she always reassures me.

We were given a time and day to view a property to be met with an agent so nonchalant, it was clear he would rather be anywhere else. Being answered with “who knows” was a particular highlight along with not physically going around the property and being on their phone.

While I didn't end up finding one through MG, they were outstanding in their assistance and help awhile I was searching. Can't recommend them enough

I really want to send this review for James Gough. He was an excellent support helping with property viewings and a great advisor. I had other agents who had taken me for viewing but James clearly stood out of everyone. I felt James’ support was non biased and genuinely looking to support both buyer and the seller equally. The honest suggestions were very helpful. James was excellent support and I really appreciate the efforts he put to be flexible with the times. Thank you James for all the support.

Sophie was great. She found tenants very quickly and guided me through the process. She was always very efficient and available. This is the third consecutive tenancy through Martyn Gerrard and I would highly recommend

Zoe Sophocles at MG has always been very helpful, efficient and professional.
I highly recommend MG as an agent.

Great service from Sheriaz, Ralph and Alexia! I’m a first time landlord and they have helped me through every step during the entire process. Would highly recommend!!

Jessica and Andrew were really patient with me when I was resigning my tenancy papers.
Jessica was always at the other end of the phone if I was unsure of something, which was often, and I totally recommend the MG team in Barnet.

The teams in Martyn Gerard including Finchley and Muswell Hill branch are professional and helpful dealing with rentals, really appreciate! Kudos to Taylor, Ralph and the team members!

Martin Gerrard have been incredible to deal with on my recent purchase going above and beyond at every touch point to get the deal through. Shuhan Ali in particular has been a complete star and constantly able to help and supply answers making the whole process a very human exchange.

Daniel and Anthony were both excellent throughout the rental process. They were professional, responsive, and made finding a tenant smooth and stress-free.

We worked with Harrison and he went above and beyond for us. He was quick to respond, friendly, accommodated our schedule, and really great to work with.

Shivali was brilliant throughout the whole process. Really responsive, always happy to answer questions (even when I had quite a few!), and made everything feel straightforward. She kept us updated at every stage and was genuinely helpful. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to rent in the area. Thank you Shivali!

We have used MG to help us secure a tenant for our house in North London and they have been fantastic and found us an excellent tenant. Throughout, they have been extremely professional, responsive, practical and communicative and offered great advice throughout the process. A big thank you in particular to Andrew who has been a joy to work with. I would definitely recommend MG to any friends looking to rent.

Was shown a property by Anna and she was very attentive and gave all the information needed with no rush. Would recommend!

Martyn Gerrard has been great with our recent house move. We worked with Shuhan throughout and he was the best - always contactable, accommodating to our viewing requests, keeping us updated with the process on the vendor’s side and generally keeping the process moving smoothly. Thank you Shuhan!

Team was a great help, easy process

Excellent Service from Martyn Gerrard – Special Thanks to Ellie!!!

I had an outstanding experience with the team at Martyn Gerrard, and I want to especially recognise Ellie for her exceptional support.

My water sprinkler safety system had been beeping nonstop for a week, and because it’s installed so high up, it required a contractor with proper equipment to fix it. I sent a note on Monday, and by yesterday Ellie personally called me, reassured me, and arranged for a contractor to come within the hour.

True to her word, everything was sorted quickly and professionally. Her responsiveness, efficiency, and genuine care made the entire experience stress‑free.

Thank you, Ellie, for your expediency and for delivering such an excellent customer experience. You were magnificent.
