Bought an Air Fryer from the Morphy…

Bought an Air Fryer from the Morphy Richards website, this was a 4 litre for two people. When on the website noticed that there was a model reduced in price which I purchased at £39.00. The Fryer is very good value and works perfectly. When I went to the site to activate the two year warranty, because it was bought through the site the warranty was for Three years ( bonus).

Unfortunately Hive kettle failed again

UPDATE: following my previous review below in fairness customer services have contacted me and provided a free replacement kettle of my choice from their range so kudos to Morphy Richards for that.

Left a positive review last year after my Hive kettle developed a fault and customer services were excellent replacing the kettle under warranty. Barely 9 months later the replacement kettle has failed again with exactly the same fault with power switch not working. No warranty is supplied for replacement so quite disappointing can't recommend Morphy Richards kettles based on my experience of their reliability.

Unfortunately I am unable to post a zero star review. Purchased a Morphy Richards slow cooker in December. Only 2 months old and the casing has cracked plus the nonstick coating is flaking off. AO are not interested in the problem and referred me to the manufacturer - don’t they understand consumer law and that my contract isn’t with the manufacturer! When I described the issues to Morphy Richards, which ARE wear related they basically called me a liar saying the cooker was damaged in use.

My reply- I had one of your products for nearly 10 years, hence buying another one. As you are calling me a liar again I will take this as your way of not helping. I had the new product for less than three months and it’s not metal that I have used its silicon utensils. Surely should not damage so quickly

Regarding the non-stick coating, the images provided show visible scratches to the cooking surface that are consistent with the use of metal utensils. Unfortunately, using metal utensils can damage the non-stick coating over time, which can lead to the coating deteriorating or flaking. As this type of damage occurs through use rather than a manufacturing fault, it would not be covered under the product guarantee.

You also mentioned that the outer casing of the appliance has cracked. The materials used in our slow cookers are tested to withstand temperatures well beyond those experienced during normal cooking conditions. Cracks in the external housing typically occur as a result of external factors such as impact, dropping, or pressure during storage or handling, rather than from normal operation of the appliance.

Based on the images and information provided, our team determined that the issues reported were not the result of a manufacturing defect. However, as a gesture of goodwill and to support you in replacing the appliance if you wished, we offered a 30% discount on a new product.

We’re sorry that this outcome was not the one you were hoping for, but we do always aim to review each case carefully and fairly based on the evidence available.

After our steam generator iron stopped…

After our steam generator iron stopped working we reached out to morphy Richards customer services, first by phone call and was then asked to complete steps via email. We were expertly helped by Jessica who guided us through the procedure and finished up needing a new iron which was dispatched all within 2 days. Brilliant service. Thanks to MR and Jessica.

Terrible company and product

EDIT : Their reply is fiction and another example of their patronising and unprofessional customer service. They know the product as they sold it the extensive list was requested after they rejected it and is a vilation of my consumer rights. They wanted pictures of my home, temperature reading etc it's ridiculous. This has now been raised with citizens advice and with my credit card company. Absolutely appalling company. Stay away people. Poor products and terrible company
Terrible company. Bought a dehumidifier, it is rubbish and does not work. I recoeved a condescending lecture about how they work from the customer service agent instead of processing the refund. I know how they work, this is a replacement which is why I know it's a poor product that doesn't work. They want a list of pictures and explanations just to return a product which is a direct violation of my consumer rights. They are rude, exploitative as a customer service and have poor product quality. Stay away

For clarity: we have not refused your return. Our Returns Centre requires photos, of the product if it’s faulty, or of the packaging for change-of-mind returns, so that we can process returns efficiently and correctly. This is standard procedure and part of consumer protection compliance.

The image submitted (black image) did not provide any visibility of the product or packaging, and the description of the issue was quite limited. In order to properly assess the concern and provide the correct return instructions, we requested additional information and clear images. Once this information is received, we will be able to review the matter and assist further.

We strive to make returns as straightforward as possible and appreciate customers following the standard process to ensure a smooth experience.

Crock of S*** - Too hot on all settings

Sear & Stew slow cooker 6l Replaced one the same model that died after 2 years of constant use. This one, after 3 months, runs too hot on all settings, spoils tried and trusted recipes, and can't be put on before work to come home to a nicely cooked dinner.
It's therefore no good to me and not fit for purpose.
Customer services just reply with patronising explanations of how slow cookers work and how "modern" ones are hotter than they were 20 or 30 years ago.. last one was 2 years old and worked perfectly until it didn't. Customer service basically told I was stupid or a liar and they would neither refund or replace. Absolute crock of s***

We would like to reassure you that the appliance is operating within its designed specifications. The bubbling or more active simmer you’ve observed is normal and can vary depending on the ingredients, quantity of food, and liquid levels.

Importantly, the slow cooker is fitted with an internal thermal cut-out safety device. If the appliance were genuinely overheating beyond safe limits, this protection system would automatically stop it from functioning. As your unit continues to operate, it indicates that it is working safely and as intended.

Prompt helpful service

Air fryer fan became very noisy after 18months use. Morphy Richard's support service was very helpful and after some interchange of emails arranged a replacement for me. The only reason I have only given 4 stars is that being in my eighties I found it quite difficult to send video information requested. However it was a very quick service and the agent dealing with my problem was very helpful and quick in replying to my emails.

An all together pleasant experience

An all together pleasant experience, would have given five stars but for small inconvenience with discount procedure. In that code for discount sent by e mail with no advisory note telling me so. However all was remedied with lovely and rapid rectification and resolution Thank You.

My steam iron had stopped working after…

My steam iron had stopped working after one year. I contacted Morphy Richards and was contacted by Jessica from customer support the next day. I was asked to take some pics of the steam iron and I also made a short video of trying unsuccessfully to use the steam setting. I sent this off and again was contacted by Jessica within 24hours to say that they were happy to replace the iron. I also had to confirm that the iron would be disposed of by cutting the power cable which I was happy to do. I found Morphy Richards to be courteous and efficient in replacing the faulty item. No quibble and no fuss! Very satisfied customer

Register your product to get extended warranty!

Fantastic service and assistance from Jessica at Morphy Richards after our steam generator iron started steaming randomly - 3 year extended warranty ends in April so the iron was replaced very speedily. I always wondered whether extended warranties when you register products with the manufacturer are really something you can rely on - clearly they are. Thank you Jessica.

I bought a Breadmaker that after 25…

I bought a Breadmaker that after 25 uses broke down. The manufacturer did not want to know and blamed the bread basket wearing saying it was a consumable. If the bread basket only lasts 25 uses and they won’t replace it they are using poor quality material. Avoid this company if you don’t want to lose your money see email sent. They won’t even inspect it.

Thank you for your correspondence. My name is Alex, and I am the Customer Service Team Manager at Morphy Richards UK. I am writing to provide our formal response to your complaint, which has been logged and reviewed in accordance with our Complaints Policy.

We acknowledge your reliance on your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and would like to clarify how the legislation applies to the circumstances of your claim.

The bread maker was purchased in January 2025 and is therefore beyond six months from the date of purchase. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and reasonably durable. However, where a fault is reported after the first six months, the Act places the burden of proof on the consumer to demonstrate that the issue was present at the time of sale and is not attributable to normal wear and tear.

The issue you have reported relates specifically to the baking pan. This component is removable and subject to repeated mechanical movement, exposure to heat, and routine cleaning. As such, it is a component that can reasonably be expected to wear over time through normal use. For this reason, the baking pan is classified as a consumable component rather than a permanent structural part of the appliance.

You have advised that the appliance has been used approximately 25–39 times over a twelve-month period. While this level of use is not excessive, it is sufficient for wear to occur to a consumable component. At present, no evidence has been provided to demonstrate that the issue is the result of a manufacturing defect rather than normal wear arising through use.

In the absence of evidence to support the presence of an inherent fault at the time of sale, we are unable to offer a repair, replacement, or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Accordingly, our original decision remains unchanged.

We would also like to clarify that the contract of sale exists between yourself and the retailer from whom the product was purchased. Should you wish to pursue a refund, you may wish to contact the retailer directly to discuss this further.

That said, we are committed to treating all customers fairly and consistently. To ensure parity of treatment, we are unable to offer an alternative resolution outside of those applied in comparable cases. A replacement baking pan is currently available to purchase via the link below and will restore the appliance to full working order.

This type of wear is not considered a manufacturing fault and is therefore not covered under warranty. Replacement pans are available to restore your appliance to full working order.

Soup Maker

I have had my much loved soup maker for years & years. It developed a fault so I contacted customer support for advice. Jessica was quick to respond & super helpful, no pun intended. 😊 What a great team to deal with. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from Morphy Richards again.
