NFU settled my claim in full and investigated whether they could pay more.

10 months ago Ruxley Manor Garden Centre told their insurance company to deal with a claim because I was injured on their premises.

NFU have done nothing.

Now forced to get a solicitor.

Dreadful company. They ignore you and do nothing! It’s 10 months!

They can cover my legal bill now because they had ample time to compensate me. They’ve chosen the hard way to put things right. You sent a letter saying Ruxley admits liability and offer £0! Not on because I lost wages over my injury and it’s STILL not 100% better. Do what you are paid to do. If I was a car, claim would have been sorted months ago!

I even gave NFU a months notice that they were forcing me to get solicitors over their behaviour. NO COMMENT! NOTHING!

Which’s best insurance, hate to work with the WORST!!!!

As usual the NFU are very helpful when making a claim.
The process is easy, quick and friendly throughout and everyone involved does their best to accommodate us.

My claim was settled without any fuss, I believed the result was entirely fair and I was dealt with courteously throughout, and there was no hassle or pressure. The claim was settled with agreement in a short space of time.

We have been with NFU mutual for 27 years and have had only good and efficient experiences at the most crucial times when you need prompt action, highly recommend.

Had to make a pet (dog) insurance claim - very prompt response to phone call - no significant button pressing or difficulty understanding the person at
NFU Mutual. Able to deal with claim requirements straightaway and understood policy fully. Claims process was very easy and has been dealt with in couple days - repaid to my bank account claimed amount.
Brilliant service - just what you expect from an insurance company

I have used the NFU to insure my horses ( car and trailer too ) for many years, over two decades in fact. I have always felt safe with their equine cover, in particular the vet cover. I was horrified to discover on my last renewal notice that my vet cover was no longer accepted by their underwriters. So I am left with no vet cover and what is in effect an impossible situation. No company wants to insure my horses now. I have no idea why this decision was made by the NFU. My vets are equally surprised. I wonder how many other people have the same experience.

Left a request for contact re farm insurance, no response after a week so called the local office (Newton Abbot) and left details and told someone would call back to discuss, three days later and still no response. NFU must be doing very well to not bother with possible new business enquires.

What am I paying for? After being a loyal customer for 13 years we encounter storm Henk and a data breach.
I make a complaint which is upheld and get a call telling me I can cancel my policy immediately no problem - nothing like a sincere apology and trying to retain a customer (and this is nothing like it!!).
Apparently storm Henk wind was not strong enough for it to be a storm - sorry NFU, the clue is in the title!!!
Don’t bother with this shameful lot - now to be know as No Flipping Use

Had to give 1 star as wouldn’t let me give none, absolutely dreadful company, poor service, paperwork errors , would not recommend using them .

Sophie Butler at the Sherborne office of the NFU Mutual couldn’t have been more helpful when I wanted to switch my Homeowners cover from a Lloyd’s policy. She achieved substantial savings with very much the same depth of coverage. She will also be the point of contact in the event of a claim. A very personalised service.

They support you throughout your claim making it a smooth and less worrying time. I would highly recommend them .

My claim for the loss of inexpensive was rejected due a change in policy I was unaware of, on appeal NFU further rejected the claim in their favour.

The most efficient motor insurance company,that i have ever had to deal with.

Extremely helpful at all times and always very speedy to reply to any query. Best of all settlement of claim took hours rather than days to show in the bank! Cannot praise NFU Tiverton too highly.

I have used NFU for home and car insurance. They are the best insurance company I have dealt with. The prompt, courteous and helpful. A pleasure to deal with and rare nowdays.

In our experience we have found the NFU to be an expensive insurance. However their business is carried out correctly and claims are dealt with quickly, efficiently and sympathetically. I guess the question is... Is it worth the extra annual premium? I suppose the answer will be different for everyone. I have been grateful of their services on two particular ocassions due to a sickness claim and an accident claim.
