If you ever get a call from a guy named Craig Currie at Northern Gas and Power, do yourself a favour and answer it. Honestly — the man is a walking miracle in a suit.
Craig had been checking in with our company since 2022, patiently asking whether we’d finally escaped the clutches of the electrical supplier we inherited when we moved into our building. We hadn’t chosen them, but oh boy, they chose us — daily phone calls, sky‑high rates, mystery bills appearing out of nowhere, and constant threats disguised as “friendly advice”. Every time we tried to clear the balance and switch, they’d slap us with another monster bill and claim our meter was “wrong”. It was like being stuck in an energy-themed horror movie.
Fast‑forward to the end of last year when both Craig and I collectively said: “Right, enough is enough.”
Craig swooped in like the energy‑saving superhero we didn’t know we needed.
Within a couple of months, he had:
Secured us a fantastic new electricity rate
Got our contract sorted with a new supplier
Told off our previous supplier and got them off our backs
Saved our small business from slowly being drained dry by nonsense charges
And he did all of this while explaining everything clearly, answering every email and call almost instantly, and generally being an absolute legend.

Even now — nearly half a year into our new contract — Craig still checks in to let us know how much we’re saving (which, given the state of the world, is both terrifying and wonderful).
So yes, I would 100% recommend him.
If Craig Currie from Northern Gas and Power calls you, let him in immediately. As the folk from Newcastle would say: “He’ll sort ye reet oot.”
