The girls at NHS 24 Scot pullled out all the stops to get me an emergency dental appointment the same day I called.
The staff were polite and I was very happy with the service.

Nhs24 is a complete waste of time this is second time today have had to call - first time was half past nine in morning about my mother and now waited over 3 hours for a phone call back about my mum while she sits here in complete agony and house bound - should be shamed of yourselves

I called in last night about stomach pain round about & above the belly button area.

The call handler couldn't have sounded more unbothered if he tried, asking yes or no questions that were clearly scripted.

The nurse I spoke to for about five minutes was as uninterested as the call handler.

She clearly couldn't get off the call quickly enough.

I avoid bad health care in Scotland, as its killing humanity Satins workers! am sure there is thousands a day who have a view and more which is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
This world is something else STEREOTYPES thats the word I use around all humans who talk to us like yer 8 or 9 controlling like Narrissist behaviour and its not one on in this sick world, where is the listen to others when they are sounding distressed stop screaming there makes numerous times! No understanding humans in pain feel distressed stop underminding them Even after ae Pandemic Satins workers no left yet to leave others in peace to get well!!! & Treat humans with the right treatments 3 stars are i have had a few good ones, I had ae Irish male doctor in Edinburgh Royal infirmary lock me in the room with um like he was intimating me getting angry few years ago that was.! Oh I walked to the door and opened it then reported him!
Alot of stuff goes to alot of humans heads when they become Doctors, or any professions in any field its like please sort yer sels out. Its like we have to fight to get what is right for us and it is disgusting! Is the nhs24 in Scotland part of the tories could be!. Early hours in the morning appointment times are they for real! Honestly why treat humans like dirty, had to get my review in. As ye see and here about how bad it is daily.

I would like to ask you why calling 111 is like talking to a heartless, rude, unemotional robots that make you feel like they would rather hang up on you than help you in need? Is it about the job satisfaction or they are trained to be that way?

I had occasion to phone NHS24 yesterday. Although I had a long wait, almost an hour, when I got through I spoke with Jim. He took my details and asked questions, to ascertain what was wrong. He then put me through to a clinician who asked me some more questions. They were both so very professional and friendly. Well done NHS, I'm so thankful to have your services to hand. Happy 75th.

I phoned regarding my son mumbling...couldn't walk a straight line..wow..interrogates me..made me feel a criminal..then they phoned social services..I felt very unsettled by the phone call.. and today I had to phone in regarding my son who got studded at football...I guess that was all my fault to

Contacted them at 7pm yesterday regarding coughing fits where I couldn’t breath at all and my lips changed to a slight blue, waited 20/30mins to tell the guy on the phone what was going on to then wait another! 20mins for a nurse to answer his call. Once the phone call was over I was told they will contact someone to get my care sorted.. 2:45am in the morning I receive this call with a woman saying they aren’t gonna do anything and I need to wait for my go to deal with this (we are 8/9 weeks in) basically got told if I have an accident while driving (if a coughing episode comes on) my own fault. Wouldn’t contact them again.

This review is for nhs Scotland, in particular st John's hospital after hours clinic and the 111 service.

Suffering from a kidney and bladder infection and high fever I couldn't wait for the GP service on Monday.
Phoned 111 at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon 8th Jan. and spoke to an operator within ten minutes. Within an hour I had an appointment for early evening appointment and left with the necessary antibiotics. Feeling better already thanks to all the staff involved. I really appreciate it you deserve your salary increase .

I am in extreme pain and have been on the phone to nhs 24 for more than 1hour and 40 mins and still noone has had the courtesy to answer my phone call I find this to be appalling service as I am in extreme pain

2 hour waiting time to be heard.
How's that acceptable?
Clearly more staff needed to answer calls!

In this day and age it is an embarrassment. One hour then cut off now into 45 minutes and still waiting.

I cut my leg badly enough to need stitches si I phoned my doctor for advice and they said to phone 111.
I got through quick enough at 4.10pm on a Tuesday afternoon and answered lots and lots of questions, I got put on hold for a bit and someone else joined the conversation to 'assess' me. They decided after 20-30 mis that I did need stitches, I knew this already but was informed that in order to be seen I needed the nhs24 people to phone me back with a time and place for the appointment best suited to my requirements. So I awaited a call back, and waited, and waited. It got to 6pm and I knew the nearest minor injuries place closed at 8pm and it would take almost an hour to get there. My 6cm long, 1cm wide and 1.5cm deep cut was merrily dripping blood and I couldn't do anything but elevate it and apply pressure, as advised. So I phoned the minor injuries clinic directly and spoke to a lovely receptionist and explained that previously nhs24 had delayed the call back so long that when I just turned up at the clinic I was almost too late and only after explaining the rotten service from nhs 24 did they take pity on me and fitted me in. She told me that it should be appointment only (booked by nhs24) but in light of the injury I should just turn up. 2 buses later I arrived at the western General (edinburgh) minor injuries clinic at 6.45pm and waited an hour to get assessed, the assessment was that I needed stitches and today! (Still awaiting my nhs24 call back!) I got the last appointment for 8pm and got taken at 8.50pm for my stitches, a lovely nurse stitched me up and at 9.30pm I was on my way to get the buses home STILL NOT HAVING RECEIVED MY CALL FROM NHS24!

No thanks whatsoever to nhs24, what a shameful way to treat people!
It's 9.30am the next day and I'm still waiting for my call back...I'm guessing I'm not important enough to bother about despite me paying their wages as a Scottish taxpayer.

Terrible recruitment site full of gay and virtual signalling propaganda and their own back slapping , virtually impossible to utilise in order to find a job . Just like their other services all underfunded run by tools and run into the ground at that .

Only 1 star as not possible to provide minus stars. NHS 24 completely inadequate response to out of hours medical support. Small wonder A&E is the place to go. Don't bother with NHS24 as it will just use up your valuable time. Go to A&E

I had to wait a while to get through but this was mid afternoon on a Saturday so not unexpected. Lady I spoke to was very pleasant and efficient. I was called back later by a doctor - again it took a while but these guys are run off their feet at the moment.She arranged for me to pick up medicine at the local hospital. Delighted with the service.

I've phoned 3 or 4 times in my life so far. The first time they were very helpful and I had an out of hours doctor appointment really quickly.

After that it feels like I've never gotten any decent help. I was sitting and fell over and lying down prevented me from fainting. I had been feeling very run down recently and wanted some advice. She told me "almost fainting isn't the same as fainting" call your doctor on monday.

Another time I had started a new medication and was having trouble breathing. She told me there was nothing I could do to help the situation. I should lay down and ride the wave. I would have expected at least a calm down, take deep breaths and count to ten. It probably wouldn't have helped but at least it would have felt like they were trying.
