Excellent service. I was booked with United Van Lines. They upcharged me for no reason before the move so I canceled. I booked with Northern Relo last minute and there was never an issue. The 3 movers were polite and quick. Much appreciated to everyone involved

This company will lure you with a nice rate, only to have movers that don’t work for the same company to show up and upcharge you for everything. Usually a broker would help with these issues but this company won’t. We were extorted over 7 stairs (not floors, stairs) that were explained before pick up and once the company had our stuff they made us pay 400 for a truck rental that was shared with another move. First of all we should not be responsible for renting a truck for a moving company, and secondly the receipt for the rental was 335 total and they charged both moves on the truck an additional 400. Tread carefully, these people will extort you.

I recently used Northern Relocation for a long-distance move, and I couldn’t be more impressed with their service. From start to finish, the team was professional, friendly, and incredibly efficient.

The booking process was seamless. I called to get a quote, and they were transparent with their pricing and explained everything in detail. No hidden fees, no surprises! On moving day, the crew arrived right on time and got straight to work. They were careful with all of our furniture and packed everything securely.

The team worked quickly, but never seemed rushed—everything arrived at our new home in perfect condition, and they made sure to place everything exactly where we wanted. The communication was also top-notch throughout the process. I received updates and was able to track the progress of my move.

I also really appreciated the friendly attitude of the movers. They made a stressful process feel easy and even enjoyable! If you're looking for reliable, affordable, and efficient movers, I highly recommend Northern Relocation. They’ll make your move a breeze!

I hired Northern Relocation LLC for a long-distance move. They gave me a binding estimate of $3,681.41 and took a $1,648.29 deposit upfront. That was supposed to cover 50% at pickup and 50% on delivery. Sounds fair, right? Wrong.

On moving day, they sent a random company I’d never heard of (Pro Wrap Movers LLC) who demanded $1,642.49 MORE at my door, plus a “suggested tip” of $400. I never signed a revised contract, never agreed to new terms, and never got my stuff moved. When I refused to pay the surprise shakedown fee, they left.

Total scam. Bait and switch. Predatory tactics. And to make it worse, Northern Relocation ghosted me when I asked for a refund.

I’ve filed complaints with the FMCSA, BBB, FTC, and both the Florida and Virginia Attorney General offices. Stay far, far away from this company. They’re not movers—they’re manipulators.

This company does not honor their own cancellation policies. I had proof of cancellation within the 72 hour time frame and they refused to refund. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and since they are not an enforcement agency, could not force them to honor their contract. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are not an honest broker.

My experience with Northern Relocation Brokers was highly disappointing. They initially promised delivery within 3–8 days, but my belongings didn’t arrive until 23 days later — with little to no communication throughout the delay. There was no tracking option, and I was left in the dark for most of the process.

I was also told that unloading would be free, but I was later charged for it. On top of that, the movers they subcontracted did not honor the original pricing or timeline. It felt like once the contract was signed, the brokers had no interest in providing support or accountability.

Overall, I would not recommend Northern Relocation Brokers. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and unexpected charges made the whole process extremely stressful.

I had a terrible experience with Northern Relocation. I followed their cancellation policy and canceled my service on dec 9, 2024. within the required timeframe, with written proof of my request. Despite this, they refused to refund my deposit and ignored my valid claim.

Their lack of accountability and refusal to honor their own policies shows a complete disregard for customers. I’ve tried to resolve this issue professionally, but they have been unresponsive and unwilling to do the right thing.

I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this company. If they can withhold a refund despite clear proof of cancellation, it raises serious concerns about their business practices. I will be escalating this matter further.

They moved me from DC to CO - the process was simple. I hate symantecs so I will keep this brief. The crew was great and they had me delivered at 8:30am on delivery day. simple as that

This has been a very disappointing experience. The original quote more than doubled and their rationale was the size of the furniture and boxes. Absolutely disappointed as this is such poor communication and they take advantage as people are in a bind because they are committed on moving day. Will not recommend to anyone.

Update 2/20/25: super suspicious they changed their name on google to just “north” instead of Northern Relocation.

I do not recommend. this broker was a scam. We read reviews and assumed that the negative reviews were actually the error of the customer not giving a proper inventory of items. However we quickly learned that was not the case.
When setting up the move for 1/17/25 we were not giving any notification that there was actually a two day window. The broker only added that to the document of the quote. When we saw it said between 1/17 - 1/18, we questioned it and were assured they would come on 1/17.
The movers did not come until 7pm on 1/18!!
We gave a very accurate inventory of our items for our move. We emphasized the size of our items and accounted for all the things we were bringing (even decided to take things off the list we had originally accounted for) however, the broker heavily underestimated the cubic footage our items would take up, putting that our items would take up only 390cubic feet (at $4 a cubic foot price point) when the third party movers came they assessed the items and told us it would be closer to 1000 cubic feet. They explained that a medium box 18x18 was about 3 cubic feet. We had 70 boxes on our quote which would take up 210 cubic ft alone! The broker just MADE UP a number based on absolutely no merit, other than tricking us with a low quote to get the sale. That’s not including ANY furniture. The movers also told us a king bed is about 70 cf which we had two of so that was 350 cf just between two of our beds and our boxes.
We quickly learned that the brokers job is to just get the sale so they get the deposit for booking the move. So they don’t care if you’re screwed in the end. Once you pay the deposit, they have nothing to do with the rest of the move, so they under quote intentionally to get you to sign the contract and collect the deposit KNOWING the move will cost more when the movers arrive.
They intentionally put you in a bad way knowing you’ll be stuck in a situation where you need to move and if you decline service, you’re out the deposit.
We ended up leaving almost all our furniture behind AND paying over double what we were quoted.
If I couldGive ZERO stars I would. This is not an honest company. Not to mention they were hard to get ahold of. Did not call three days out as promised, only sent an email that could easily be missed when you’re expecting a call and not an email, they also do not mention verbally there is a two day window and lead you to think the date you choose is for sure the date your move will occur. They also state that the average time it would take was between 5-7 days…. It is 1/30/25 and our stuff hasn’t even started its way toward our location (our move was from AZ to MI).
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR ANY BROKER. USE A REAL MOVING COMPANY.

Northern Relocation made my move from the FL Panhandle to the beaches of Miami-Dade County completely stress-free! From start to finish, they handled everything with professionalism and care. The movers were friendly, efficient, and stayed true to their quote! Everything arrived on time and in perfect condition. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a smooth and hassle-free moving experience!

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Northern Relocation LLC. From start to finish, they were incredibly professional and made the entire process stress-free. This is what I wrote. I booked a move back in AUG to moved to Oakland in May of 2025 and for unforeseen reasons those plans fell through. I contacted Northern Relocation and David got me in contact with the operations manager which basically quoted my contract to me. I felt there was no level of customer service from the operations manager and left me feeling robbed. So then I went to David that was helping me with this and he told me that how I was talked to was wrong and was going to do everything to get as much back and to this day I am still working with him. David from northern relo understands things happen and Is giving me professional behavior and understanding that my plans have changed and we are working towards a middle ground. it's all about treating people how you want to be treated. I will let you guys know the out come of the rendering of what the decision was made.

They moved our oldest daughter back from home from California... The service was great, the only complaint I have is that they were supposed to be here at 12PM and arrived at 5PM due to weather and traffic. besides that I have no complaints, the whole crew moved quick. only issue i have now is that im leaving in the AM instead of late afternoon like i was hoping.
