Great device, poor pedometer option

The Phonak hearing aid is a great device. I sent my hearing aids back due them shutting down randomly. The devices were repaired and returned within 3 weeks Sounds are clear and crisp.

However, the app itself leaves a lot to be desired. Trying to get a live chat is next to impossible. The pedometer a one star rating. The pedometer does not come close correctly counting steps. I sent my devices back hoping there was an adjustment, unfortunately no.

Don’t waste your money

I got my second pair of Phonak hearing aids earlier this year from Boots hearing. Whilst I was reasonably satisfied with my previous ones, I did experience the odd hiccup it was nothing like my new aids! I had indicated to Boots that I wished I had my money back on more than one occasion, but each time I was talked out of it. Just when I thought that I was winning and that after switching all the phone coupling and hi tec and got back to basics, I have problems with changing filters! Not even Boots could change them without changing the wires and amplifiers so what hope had I? I only hope that this is not going to be the norm as I have had to wait circa 8 weeks for an appointment!

I spent a lot of money on these new…

I spent a lot of money on these new hearing aids and the speaker of one is now faulty after just under a year. The service place ordered a new speaker & said it would be here in a couple of days….that was over a week ago….I won’t be able to attend family Thanksgiving out of town….not happy.

Moisture problems with so-called waterproof hearing aids.

I wrote a review here in October '21 about my Phonak top-of-the-range Audeo rechargeable hearing aids that kept turning themselves off whenever I got warm and had a small bit of perspiration behind my ears.
Specsavers offered to change them for the battery version which I gladly accepted. But now I have the same problem with the battery models, though the small advantage is that I can remove the batteries and replace them to switch them back on again.
Phonak advertise that these are category IP68, which as they point out means they can tolerate immersion in 1 metre depth of water for 60 minutes! What nonsense and a wholly untrue and deceptive claim, so how can you believe anything they say?
I tried asking Phonak about this but they refused to comment!
I certainly won't be buying Phonak again.

Just DON'T do it

Grossly overpriced for very little benefit. They are just amplifiers that boost everything - including background noise. The only thing in their favor is the Bluetooth connectivity with your smartphone, however their android app has gone from marginal to completely worthless with the latest "update". Don't bother contacting the company because they don't care after they have your money.

Phonak returned to Boots

I attended Boots and tried the top of range 90. They worked fine in everyday conversation for 60 days and Lizzie in Boots was very helpful. However, the "tap ear" connection did not work, Bluetooth always was awful, and the app is useless - no range of settings and always "lost " my unique settings as I have unilateral hearing loss. Boots are too busy to give time for appointments so no time to change and so had to give them back at the end of the 60 days trial.

Not worth the money

Not worth the money. Blue tooth does not stay connected. Does not always charge in the charging station. They have green, yellow, and red charging LED lights. They do not work most of the time. This is my second pair in two years. Very disappointed with them.

I have a pair of Audio P90-R and I can…

I have a pair of Audio P90-R and I can tell you after approx 2 years of use the biggest problem is Bluetooth connection. I give it one star. Recently there has been a massive software upgrade! You can connect to the aids in the app but other programs are not interested such as youtube.

rechargeable battery life 10 (14-16 hr.)

This HA does not meet my needs and is definitely not as advertised.

I discovered the secret to the Phonak App. not working.

I discovered the secret to the Phonak mobile App.Use the Auto sense settings save settings then Leave your mobile on the setting stay as you set them so at night turn mobile of charge your hearing aids and your mobile reset with auto sense...good to go without any problems.

Mitt foretrukne valg av høreapparater.

Jeg har hatt høreapparater i over 5 år, og allerede vært innom ett par produsenter før jeg denne gangen ble tilbudt phonak audeo paradise.

Fungerer supert fra dag 1, med tilbehør som gjør hverdagen min enklere. De er teknisk frempå som leverandør. Fungerer godt med både mobilen, pc’n og tv’n, slik at jeg får lyden fra disse tilpasset automatisk til akkurat meg. Etter min erfaring er det høy kvalitet på alt tilbehør jeg har fått tildelt, og det er ganske rett frem å bruke. Nå
Har jeg hatt dem ett par måneder, og det er jo 5-6 år som er vanligst periode å skulle vente mellom hvert utskifte, så blir spennende å se hvordan de greier seg igjennom denne perioden. Men så langt er jeg imponert. Phonak sin variant av min foretrukne type høreapparat, det syns jeg inntil videre at virker ganske proft!

I had Phonak P30 hearing aids about 6…

I had Phonak P30 hearing aids about 6 months ago and they've never worked properly. I've had difficulty saving programs, they claim to be able to save up to 10 programmes and I've only managed 4 at the best. Now that function has crashed completely. I can only contact the manufacturer through the audiologist. He says that Phonak are having problems with the software and are "working on it", for 6 months? I wish I hadn't wasted my money.

not worth the money

I have had these Marvel Paradise aids for just over a year now. One problem after another! Poor quality sound, trouble with the poor app, wind block doesn't work. A 40 mile round trip each time back to Boots and they never fix the problem. they cancelled 5 appointments over the summer! Wish I'd stuck with ReSound.

Phonak Audeo problems with moisture.

I have now had a pair of Phonak Audeo rechargeable hearing aids for a year. The sound quality is certainly very good, but I have had to return one or other about 5 times in the last few months when one of them suddenly switches off. If at home with the charger, I can reset it but it is irritating when you buy the top of the range of a renowned brand and have this sort of problem - repeatedly and they have no solution for it. Apparently the rechargeable ones have a problem with even a slight degree of moisture and it would appear that the small amount of perspiration I produce behind my ear when active in hot weather is probably to blame. I do not perspire more than average and yet it causes this problem

I had nothing but trouble with my Phonak hearing aids - constantly back to Boots to fix since early 2019 - change speakers - back to manufacturers. Now I am told I have to buy filters online!!! So much for the lifetime service. The first pair I had in 2010 worked very well for years. So sorry that I lost one in 2016. I revert to the old one I still have while the latest ones are being fixed. Don't waste your money. Get NHS ones!

Poor quality App & Hearing Aids

I've had this set of Phonak Hearing Aids since Feb 21 and had no problems until 10 days ago. When making or receiving calls on my mobile, I could hear the person I was calling but they were saying that my call was breaking up or that they could not hear what I was saying. I initially thought that the problem was with my phone, so took it to my mobile service provider. They carried out comprehensive tests and report that the phone is working as it should and suggested that there might be problems with the Phonak App. I've now uninstalled the App and am using my phone as 'normal', with no issues. These are my third set of Phonak hearing aids and up till now I've never had any problems with them. Reading other negative reviews maybe the Bluetooth/Phonak App pairing isn't doing or functioning in the manner it's designed to do. Pity.

29/08/21: Update. I'm still having problems with my Phonak Virto M90 hearing aids and have had to make another service appointment with Boots. They are not functioning correctly when making or receiving phone calls. Same issue as stated in my earlier review. Person I'm phoning or taking calls from can hardly hear me and I'm also having problems hearing them. I've spent some serious money on these and am now getting really peed off with them. I never had these issues with my previous Phonak hearing aids. Is the technology too much for Phonak? Do they care?

Here we go again!! Left hearing aid developed 'electronic crackling' towards the end of March. It was sent back to Phonak in April for repair. All went well until last week when the left hearing aid started disconnecting from Bluetooth and the Bluetooth Wireless TV Connector. Visited Boots and their Hearing Care Advisor tested and re-synched both hearing aids. Worked for a day then the same problems happened again. I can only use the right hearing aid at the moment. Will be returning to Boots next week. Will the problems with my hearing aids ever end? I live in hope!!

Poor quality Phonak Audeo M Hearing aids…

I have had the Phonak Audeo M Hearing aids for a year now, I don't find them to be much help at all. One of the worst parts is when I use my mobile to adjust or change the settings it then reverts back to Auto Sense within a couple of minutes. I have asked the experts at Boots and they can't do anything about it. I feel they are mostly for the USA market. At a price of over £2,000 they are very poor value for money. My hearing is not much better with them in.

I received these Phonak hearing aids…

I received these Phonak hearing aids from the VA about months ago. I do not like them at all. They have a hollow sound to them, and i can't adjust them. I had Starkey before for five years and loved them. I sent the Starkeys for rebuild and I'm wearing them now. After 6 years their still perfect for my hearing.
