The specifications are supplied to us by Celestron, the manufacturer of the product. We emailed you to ask for more details on your complaint, you 'read the email' but decided not to reply, therefore we've not been able to help.
Excellent stock and timescale
This retailer was able to send us a large order of a relatively rare microscope smartphone adapter unit which we required at very short notice - very few other places I checked at had more than 2 units held in stock. Couldn't be happier with their service.

Returning the item
I would strongly advise caution when buying from PicStop.co.uk I recently purchased a telescope, only to discover after using it twice that it was a 15-year-old model with no internet connection to update the handset. I emailed to ask about returning it, and the response I received was honestly shocking. I was told they “don’t do returns on a trial basis lol.” Yes, that was the actual wording.
How exactly are customers supposed to know whether they like or even can use a product until they’ve tried it? This dismissive attitude towards genuine customer concerns is completely unacceptable. I feel misled into buying an outdated product and then laughed off when trying to resolve the situation.
I will be raising this matter with the trades union and would urge anyone thinking of ordering from PicStop to reconsider. The lack of proper returns policy, coupled with the unprofessional response, speaks volumes about how they treat their customers.

The telescope you purchased was based on a design originally developed in the 1970's, something you can easily determine with a quick search, many telescope designs haven't changed for years.
The model you bought doesn't have a direct internet connection (we don't state that it does), the handset needs to be updated via a computer, as stated in the user manual.
You were not mislead into buying an outdated product, this is a current and popular 'Celestron' model, still listed on the brand's website.
All the specifications and product details available to us from Celestron were listed on the web page you ordered from, along with links to multiple user reviews.
After having the product for a couple of weeks, letting us know that you had assembled and 'used' it multiple times, here's exactly what we stated:
"I am sure you can appreciate that we don't offer products on a trial or test basis to see if they are suitable."
You did not report any faults with the telescope.
The extent to which you can handle the goods is the same as it would be if you were assessing them in a shop, as detailed in our terms, which you agreed to when making the purchase. Unfortunately, this does not extend to using the product for a while to see if you like it, had it 'not' been unboxed, set-up and used for a while it would have been eligible for return for a full refund.
