At the start of January I hired Plumbforce Direct and paid a deposit of £300 after they turned up and said I needed a pump replacing for my heating, which they then ordered. I have no email receipt of this, despite asking for one at the time and following up on this ask.

They promised to get in contact once the pump arrived to arrange a time to fit it, and said they expected this would be the next day. However they never got in touch and the man who came round ignored my attempts to get in contact.

After speaking to a man called Scott in their offices they arranged someone to come round 3 further times but each time never showed up!

I have therefore been trying to get my deposit back but most times they have hung up on me at the point they ask for my card details. At one point I managed to give them my card details but then no money was returned and no email confirmation came despite me ringing back up and requesting this email. I have also followed up over email but had no response.

This’s is unprofessional and unacceptable. A reputable company should either provide the service they promised or refund the money. Instead, they took my deposit and disappeared.

I strongly advise others to stay away from them unless you want to waste your time and money. If they resolve this issue, I will update my review.

If I do not hear back from them shortly I will also be reporting them to the various consumer protection and fraud authorities and taking legal action.

Scammers!!! My shop had the toilet blocked 6 months ago. Said it would be £50. Then found out the problem was the main evacuation pipe. Charged us £594. The same situation happened few days ago. Contacted a different company as we were freaking out to spend the same amount with them as we are small independant business. The other company fixed the problem exactly the same way than that disgusting company. We have been charged....£180!!!! When we told them that company charged us almost £600 they said that this problem don't cost more than £200 to fix. We saw the reviews from their website which naively we thought were truthful. Obviously was fake reviews. Wished we checked on website reviews like trustpilot so we would have been warned.

Made a number of promises but never met them. I' "ring you back in few minutes" actually means "I will NOT be ringing you back"!

They are scammers - made me pay a "refundable" £250 deposit.

Asked for this back and they repeatedly for days said it would be back in my account that day. Then started hanging up on me, ignored e-mails, calls. AWFUL. Do not use

Called as my boiler broke, young guy turned up. Couldn’t find the problem, changed the PCB board. Still can’t get the boiler to work. Told need get a new boiler. Was charged a fortune. AVOID IF POSSIBLE !!!!

They are scammers. They told me they could unclog my kitchen sink for £80+ VAT. And the plumber came with nothing but a plunger. Which obviously already tried.

Then he called the office and quoted me £425+VAT to snake to the drain. Then after I said no he dropped it to £350+VAT, then I said no again and they dropped it to £350+VAT.

What a joke of a company. Don’t waste your time put your money with these guys. Absolute clowns.

I GOT SCAMMED! And I wish I read this before I used them! Terrible communication! They tell me 9-11am I call them at 11 they tell me he is delayed and they will call back, hour goes by no one calls, I call again! They say they will call the engineer and update me shortly! I wait 15 no call back! I call them a third time, they say that he is delayed and their colleagues are trying to get in touch and they will call back. Nothing again! I call them the fourth time, they said he is on route and they will call me when he is 30-15 mins away and he will arrive 1.15. In s now 1.15 no calls, so 5th call asking where he is, then they tell me he is 10 mins away, so I say ok I start making my way back o the flat, 25 mins later I call them again, where is he? “Oh he is just parking up” I’m like I’m
In the car park no one is here, they will call me back again! 5 mins goes by no call back as usual! So I call for the 6th or 7th time at this point annoyed and he just turned up in the car!

Right now I was quoted £79 for parts repair! I told them the issue over the phone and they said that price, when the engineer gets there he tells me he needs to rewire it, so new quote £350 not including vat! I was told this solves most issues! So I went ahead and still didn’t work, he tell me basically need a new boilers and if I get through them they will discount the money I paid and new boiler fitted would be like 3.4-4k! Scamming mofos! They lied, scammed me out of 450 and now expect me to get a boiler with them? What lying horrible scammers who can’t even return a call or communicate to customer!! Do not ever use!!! Oh and they have all 5 star reviews on their site which you can edit or leave one lol all fake five star reviews! Wow!! How can they be allowed to operate!

This Company charge more then they quote!

I rang them and described the problem. The lady on the phone said she felt it was a jammed motorised valve and would send someone. She said the cost would be £75 for the first hour.
When the technician arrived he spent around 10mins analysing the situation then said he needed to phone the office and left the premises. Came back about 5 mins saying it would cost £240 (not including the spare part which despite everyone knowing the problem he didn't have). I asked him why I was told £75, he shrugged. I told him I wouldn't pay and he was back out to the van to "contact" the office again. Came back with a bizarrely reduced quote of £110, still not the £75 I was quoted and not including part.
As, I was half expecting this sort of run around I'd already bought the part (which seemed to annoy him a little!) which he then fitted in about 20mins at a cost to me £110!

Awful. Boiler packed up so needed an emergency call out. Was told engineer would be with us between 12-2pm. After 7 calls to ask for an update, not one return courtesy call. At 6.44pm gave up rang and cancelled. Have my 92 year old father in law staying ended up going to buy a small heater to keep him warm.

I booked an appointment last Thursday for the following Monday, but the engineer never showed up. I called their customer service, who promised they would come between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., but still, no one showed up. Then they started hanging up my phone call as they knew what I was going to ask them.

Unreliable; I would not have used them if I checked their review on trust pilot first.

Is there any point in giving a review when they won’t respond to it. I don’t think they want to improve because negative reviews don’t matter to them. Unfortunately for me I couldn’t find reviews on Plumbforce when I tried before I used their services. I took a chance last week and that was the beginning of my misery. I am a bilateral amputee with 7 fingers also amputated and permanently in a wheelchair. There is no sense of time perhaps due to a lack of coordination in the company. No decency to contact me to let me know why they won’t turn up for the job. I could go on. 15 mins after they changed 6 valves for £720, radiators stopped working. Then some worked the following day, then one was so hot (without being switched on) I began to get nose bleeds.
I am losing my mind waiting endlessly for them to come and put things right. Today, 17/12/24 the appointment was between 9am-11am. It’s 17.02 right now. I have called the company 3 times only to be told that someone will get back to me. Is this really a British company as I have been told?

Scammers, do not use this company ever

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY did repair to leaking pipe in August 2024 by 5 December 2024 it was leaking again. They wanted my card details for payment before they go out to look at the leaking pipe citing that they will charge me again NOT HAPPY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I MADE THE MISTAKE OF NOT READING THE REVIEWS APPARENTLY THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME !!! BEWARE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOY USE PLUMBFORCE

If I could give no stars then I would This company link up with plungers limited there all in it together there conning scam artists they lie , they don’t care about what there doing to people , they should win a Oscar for the acting skills and empty promises they tell people one person sounded who I spoke to here sounded like a robot bunch of weirdos scammed me out of £900 and didn’t do any work sent a dodgy plumber round to my house who said a the work that needed done was a 15 minute job I have had a second opinion plumber come and view the work and he did the work in 1 hr 30 mins it’s so disheartening to be scammed makes you feel like you can never trust yourself and your judgement on anything but thank god for every bad person good people are out there to make up for nasty people like you !!!

I asked them to come and deal with a blocked drain. They charged me nearly 600 pounds and did nothing. Said they would pay for Thames Water. Who don't charge for doing this.

Their engineer came to change the boiler wall thermostate never changed the whole box but the front caseing charged £358.80 the folowing day the boiler did not work after makeing several phone calls the same angeneer came back wated another £400 pound then he asked me to speake to his boss who refused to give his name and email address then he spoke to his engineer who just left the house keep away from this company who also use Plungers Ltd name

Avoid Plumbforcedirect at All Costs – A Nightmare Experience

I recently made the grave mistake of hiring Plumbforcedirect to repair my boiler. From the very beginning, the experience was nothing short of disastrous.

The technician's poor communication and shoddy workmanship left us feeling uneasy. To make matters worse, inflated prices and unnecessary services were aggressively pushed on us at every turn. The entire process was plagued with unresolved issues, including persistent error codes that were never properly addressed.

After making a deposit, I quickly realized I had been overcharged for the job. When I requested my deposit back, I was told it was non-refundable. At that point, it became clear that I had likely been scammed.

If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, avoid Plumbforcedirect at all costs. They are a company that prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction, and I strongly urge anyone considering their services to look elsewhere.

They made an appointment and just never turned up. I contacted Plumbforce Direct about an emergency boiler repair, and they promised to send someone the next day at a given time. The engineer never turned up. When I contacted the company to ask what was going on, someone told me he was looking into it, but I never heard back from him. A totally unreliable and irresponsible company.

If I could give them zero stars I would! Told us our boiler needed replacing when the actual issue was a loose valve (fixed speedily by a great engineer from Pimlico Plumbers). They tried to get me to pay a deposit up front. Luckily I insisted on a payment link (which did not work). By this point I was quite suspicious so googled to check reviews and luckily saw that this is how they scammed people out of their money. Stay far away from them!

PLUMBING FORCE DIRECT, ALSO TRADE AS PLUNGER. ARE TOTAL SCAMMERS. ENGINEER SAID HE HAD 25 YEARS EXPERIENCE, COULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF BLOCKED DRAINS. THEY MASSIVELY OVERCHARGE AND DO NOT FIX THE PROBLEM, THEY MAKE IT WORSE.
