exact same experience as Jim further down the page (may 2023), absolute scammers!! Has anyone had any luck with getting money back? Has anyone ever gone to bbc or news outlets regarding this company? Surely they need to be investigated!!!!

Total frauds - AVOID!
Plumber showed up and after looking at the boiler for less than 5 minutes, told me nothing he can do, I had to replace the whole boiler!!
If I made a decision to go ahead with it, he could come back later in the day to supply and fit a new boiler!

Had another plumber have a look, after 5 minutes, he immediately detected that the valve motor on the diverter valve was dead. installed a replaced (part cost £30), and heating back up and running.

This company is a fraud! they make you pay upfront, they don't deliver the service and then try to convice you that your issue can only be fixed by spending more money with them.

Sorry to say, I totally agree with the tone of previous reviews. My Mum, 98 & bed ridden, needs heating and a daily hot bath: her boiler broke down, & I called Plumbforce Direct. Charming Scott answered & promised an engineer that day, which happened as scheduled. The engineer had to go & collect parts to fix the ignition system, got the boiler to light, but said it wouldn’t stay lit. £450 paid so far. The following day, they were going to speak to the boiler manufacturer for advice, who allegedly said that the fault could be with any of several parts (PCB never mentioned), and Plumbforce recommended replacement of the boiler (8 years old) at a cost of £3995 + VAT, and that would take possibly 6 days before installation. Throughout this process, my contact, Sylvie, was charming, timely and professional.

But before I accepted, I checked the Trustpilot reviews, and rapidly backed out.

I found an alternative online heating engineer that I had used previously, who attended late pm the second day, called the boiler manufacturer, and was told that the indicated flashing fault displaying on the boiler was highly unlikely to be anything other than a faulty PCB. Expensive component admittedly, nearly £1k installed, but much cheaper & solved immediately.

I was about to be had. So all I can say is be careful and believe in Trustpilot!

I booked a boiler service 4weeks ago , the engineer, notice a fault and said , the (Expansion box ) need to be replacement and said he will return nxt day to replace it in the morning I waited till 13:00 with no show , with many calls was told a engineer will call , the engineer turned up 48 hrs later after many calls to the service Center ,he turn up replace the part which took approximately 30min. And left with out checking the
Rads , and did not issue a safety certificate, the nxt day the boiler problem came back , after many calls to the service center , I wasBLOCKED, I have emailed them many time , with no reply , I am in the process taking them to TRADING STANDARDS ,
Avoid this company VERY poor customer service,,

I also had very bad experience with plumbforce direct Ltd. They don't care about your home at all. Therefore if your using this company writen agreement prior to job commence would mandatory. They charged me 6k to replace new combi boiler and yet left me with no heating in my house. I had requested number of time for them to come and fix this, but they don't care so the word scammer is much more likely to be awarded to this company. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use the company, lot of bullying, hassle and stress you would be in if you use this company.

Do NOT use this company. I agree 100% with all other one star reviews.

Scam, stay away from them, booked them to unblock sink for 49, later they charged me 275 saying it require special machine to clean the pipes

Scammers, tried to quote me a ridiculous and bully me into paying for something that doesn’t exist. Luckily I have experience working in domestic plumbing. Not plumbers, they’re scammers. Don’t let these people bully you, don’t pay them a penny. They wouldn’t leave my home for an hour without being paid for literally nothing. STAY AWAY

Same as all other reviewers for me. I think they contacted me under another company name because I checked their reviews before working with them. When the invoice came through and I had problems, I looked up this name and saw all of the terrible reviews.
Same for me, basic blocked kitchen sink. They said 99% of the time they fix it for the call out fee (£94). They went to the property, did nothing, then called me to say they needed a super clean at £450 +VAT. I looked up their reviews and told them no. They said they had cleared the blockage so they would only charge me £295 +VAT. Even though they only did the work on the original call out charge and were there for less than 15 minutes!
Con artists, plain and simple. Trading standards should take issue with them and I'll raise a formal complaint.
They continue to harass me for payment of £295+VAT for work that they didn't complete. As per other reviews, they're starting to get very aggressive.

Engineer polite. Not sure how much she did in 30 minutes. Water tank was very low she only filled it 10%. No receipt for work carried no means of contact other than telephone.
ENERGYCARE did a much more comprehensive job for the same fee.

Plumbforce direct charged us £600 to fix a leaking toilet. Included in this was a part that apparently needed replacing. They then didn’t replace the part. We were promised a £179 refund as a new part had not been fitted. We have called over 20 times. We have been hung up on, told we would get a call back, and now even been asked for our card details and told our refund would be with us within 4 days. When I then called to chase again, Scott (from plumbforce) hung up on me and then stopped answering my calls, as I’m guessing he recognises my number. This company is a total scam and has caused us so much stress and upset. Avoid them!

This company should be forced to stop trading and its management should be prevented from opening future companies. They will try and steal your money. Have nothing to do with them. You will regret it if you do. They forced me to pay up front for a service which they then failed to deliver. First they told me someone was coming, no one turned up. Then they didn’t respond to my emails. Then when I called them they (Scott) would hang up, say that accounts was on it, say the money had been transferred etc. It was all lies. To be honest it was all quite strange and embarrassing to be so blatantly lied to. It was only when I threatened legal action that they paid me for the non-delivered service and bizarrely tried to tell me that it was a special authorisation, even though they were giving my me back my money for something they never did. Happily. I will be pursuing them through the regulator to try and get them shut down.

Clearly scammers - before they even had a look at the blocked sink they were making excuses, trying to make the job sound harder than it was. They plunged for 2 minutes then immediately claimed it would need an expensive 400 pound machine to resolve and there was nothing they could do. The invoice lied on the description of the job, saying they tried rodding too but this is not correct. As soon as I hesitated the 400 pound they made a phone call and it dropped to 350, then to 300 - obviously sales tactics to pressure a sale on the spot.

Pressured me into signing the incorrect invoice refused to leave until I paid on the spot, and scoffed when I said most invoices are payable within 30 days and that the repair wasn't completed.

Don't trust them at all. The website pricing is intentionally misleading.

Dear All,

This company clearly is a scam. We need to do something about that. I am going to file a lawsuit and I was advised by a lawyer, that we stand a better chance of winning if we file a combined case.
I have been reaching out to some of you, but if there is anyone else who would like to participate, please let me know (I can't post my email address here as not allowed by the site, but you will find it on yelp).

Thinking of all the vulnerable people out there, we can't let these people operate and behave as they do.

AVOID AVOID AVOID at ALL cost! They are attracting customers with small price to THEN charge you a massive amount and almost force you to pay. They tried to charge me £750 for something that costs me £170 in the end.

Terrible company. Gave me bad advice that I needed a new boiler. Quoted 5k and demanded 50% upfront. Two days later a British Gas engineer fixed the issue for free. Do not trust them.

This company is a con!
The owner is called Scott and he will take your money, do a job badly then vanish...
He needs to be reported. I have informed Which and You and yours on the BBC. Plumbforcedirect needs to be taken to court for fraud, theft and total disrespect to the customers integrity and rights!
