Appalling behaviour, Daniel (clearly not his real name) decided that my asking to cancel a contract in writing wasn't valid because they offered me a better deal...they continued to take money and then argued with me over the phone about my not responding to their offer. I would avoid this company like the plague. Terrible internet speeds, constantly dropping out meaning repeated calls to customer service to try to diagnose the issue. After a few months additional charges started appearing on my bills - things I had not opted into, which were apparently 'free' for a few months, after which I was charged. To add insult to injury, when trying to leave POP telecom using a switching service from another provider, this proved impossible as my POP account details couldn't be found... Strange landline fault
I have had a phone fault for a few weeks now but the Tech Team have worked so hard to get it fixed and kept me informed by email.
Every team member I have spoken to has been very helpful and patient, especially Paul, Harry and Alfie who at last fixed the problem today.
As an older person I am really grateful for their time and help. Thank you

Alfred was so incredible
Alfred was so incredible , I was so stressed I just couldn't get my WiFi to work, he was so patient and kind. Stayed on the phone with me for almost 45 minutes until it was all set up, and was so helpful the whole time. 10/10 service
Poor Customer Service
Broadband Service didn't start until 3 weeks after the scheduled date because they forgot to send out the router. Then the pain really started with trying to get a refund for the delay, this was done over two emails because the customer service person couldn't count.
After 1 week of actual working broadband, I have already been charged 2 months and the so-called credit that they owe me, now appears on my account as an amount in arrears. More conversations with customer services and I can't wait for next months bill. I'm stuck with this poor excuse for a company for the next 12 months, after which I will be sending the router back and going with a reputable company. Do not use Pop Telecom!!

I requested cancellation of my broadband service on 26 May 2026 when my new provider took over. During the call I was informed that the cancellation had been processed.
I later discovered that the account had not been cancelled and a further payment was taken from my bank account at the higher out-of-contract rate. I also did not receive the usual bill beforehand.
Since then I have made several attempts to contact customer services. On multiple occasions I was promised a callback from the relevant team, but no callback was received.
I have now had to submit a formal written complaint requesting immediate cancellation, an investigation into why my original cancellation request was not processed, and a review of the payment taken from my account.
I hope the issue is resolved quickly, but based on my experience so far, communication and account management have been very disappointing.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I have received from POPTELECOM. The company claims to be based in Essex, but my experience has been that customer support appears to be outsourced, making communication and problem resolution very difficult.
I have been without internet service for almost four weeks. During this entire period, I have received little to no meaningful assistance, no temporary internet solution, and no clear timeline for restoring my connection. Every day I am given the same response: "We are waiting for Openreach."
After nearly a month without service, this explanation is no longer acceptable. As a paying customer, I expect reliable communication, regular updates, and genuine efforts to resolve the problem. Instead, I have experienced repeated delays, broken promises, and a lack of accountability.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise potential customers to think carefully before choosing POPTELECOM. Four weeks without internet and without an effective resolution is unacceptable. Customers deserve better service, better communication, and greater transparency than I have received.
As a paying customer, I find it unacceptable that I have been left without a working internet connection for such a long period with no meaningful updates, no temporary solution, and no clear timescale for resolution. The lack of communication, accountability, and customer support has been shocking.
Customers should not be misled about the quality of service they can expect. If a company cannot provide a reliable service or resolve faults within a reasonable timeframe, it should be honest and transparent with its customers. Instead, I have experienced repeated delays, excuses, and a complete lack of urgency in resolving my issue.
Four weeks without internet in today's world is simply unacceptable. I have continued to pay for a service that I have not received, causing significant inconvenience and frustration.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend POPTELECOM to anyone. Potential customers should be aware of the difficulties they may face if a fault occurs and consider alternative providers with a stronger track record of customer service and fault resolution.
I am requesting an immediate resolution to this issue and appropriate compensation for the prolonged loss of service.

Josie was very helpful. She needed to put me on hold for tests, she came back with further instructions and rang me back in the time that she said. No hanging about wondering what was going on! My own test was successful, proving what she had done was correct. I now have a sensible working landline phone thanks to her knowledge. My personal experience with pop hasn’t been the best and should have read the reviews before signing over to them.
They’ve taken money out of my account twice and I still have no internet. I’m a vulnerable customer, though they don’t seem to care, using the excuse it’s not them to open reach.
They’ve lied to me, blatantly lied to me,
saying an engineer visit has been raised when it clearly hadn’t - I have a screen shot of this and can prove the lies. Now they’re saying I have to wait another 3 days without internet.
Avoid at all cost.

Poor Communication
Two stars because they actually provided internet connectivity and they were cheaper than most providers.
The missing three stars is for the abysmal communication. After my initial registration, I have not been getting any correspondence and even if I do, it's somewhat random. Like a bill every other month. I had to contact customer care on multiple occassions to ask why my bill kept going up. Router assurance fees which were apparently going up each month.
Come to the end of my contract, I was not notified that it was ending, I was not notified that the prices would change. I only got a notice from my bank that I would be paying more than usual. This is illegal I believe but somehow, I'm still supposed to pay for that.

Today I used the Technical Support service at Pop Telecom and was very impressed . The response to my issue was dealt with swiftly and professionally by Josie , and I am now back where I need to be with my online account . Great customer service . Many thanks !
