Great experience too company

Abysmal experience.

Placing the order and sorting delivery was absolutely fine, pretty easy and straight forward. They were also helpful when it came to asking a few questions about the based.

Other than that, it was a complete and utter waste of time.

Once the shed had been delivered and the delivery crew left my property, I had a closer look at the entire order to check over the quality - it was really really poor. There were knots that had fallen out in places where one sheet was to be fastened to another, chips and holes in around 1/3 of the pieces, bowing of the panels.

What was most confusing was the way that project timber then handled the plethora issues.

I understand that with these types of purchases, you're always going to get a number of pieces which have defects and therefore need replacing - that's just how it is. But what was offered in terms of fixing the issue was laughable.

I flagged there was a few issues with the windows and doors - to which I was told that I could have replacement parts recieved.

Then when I added the additonal panels which also had issues, Project Timber REVERSED their offer of replacements, with the reason being: "The reason for this is that any replacement parts we send would very likely come from the same production run and carry similar characteristics, so there's a real risk you'd end up facing the same issues again".

This to me suggests that they have acknowledged the poor craftsman ship and clear out right issues with the panels and actually then deemed them acceptable - because the whole production line is likely the same.

Its shocking.

After much back and forth I was given two options.
Either I arraneg collection of the shed to return it to the depot for a full refund.
Or
I receive £100 compensation towards.
That's 7% of the order value to compensate for 30% of the order being damaged.

A complete waste of 6 weeks of ordering, delivery and back and forth.

Avoid.

Rang ahead of delivery with time. Arrived bang on time. Super helpful in dropping where we wanted, and off loading. Top man, thanks Patrick

The delivery itself was excellent, and Carl deserves recognition. He was friendly, professional, and worked incredibly hard. However, it is completely unreasonable for a company to expect one person to unload and deliver such a large quantity of timber alone. Project Timber should seriously review its delivery process and use two-person teams for larger orders, as expecting one driver to do this on their own is unfair.
Unfortunately, the quality of the timber was extremely disappointing. After building the shed, it became clear that many of the beams and panels were bent, twisted, and warped. This made it very difficult to get the structure square, level, and properly aligned, adding unnecessary time and frustration to what should have been a straightforward build.
While I cannot fault the delivery driver, the quality of the materials and the company's delivery expectations fall well below what I would expect.

The shed selection process was easy to use and made the purchase a smooth and seamless experience. The delivery and support was clear, prompt and easy to manage. The delivery driver was attentive and helpful and had obviously worked for Project Timber for some time.

Sorry to write this, but after a year it’s only right I say it as it is. Last year I purchased a 10x8 shiplap shed. It arrived after a few weeks. On a pallet as described. Only it had a massive screw that went straight through the roofing felt holding it to the pallet. As I built the shed I purchased a new roll from screwfix and then contacted project timber, they made me send photos of the damage and then receipts and then nothing. No reply to the two following emails. Fast forward a year on and one side of the shed and the doors and shrank and now the side and doors are open at the joints and no longer weather proof. I contacted them for advice, asked to send photos, videos etc. They asked if I had it treated which I did before assembling the shed with Ronseal shed preservation paint. ( just to clarify the other sides of the shed is fine ). Again emailed twice and they are just ignoring me again. Probably the worst £1000+ spent. I’m going to have to somehow replace a section of the shed and two new doors.

Great delivery and coms

We’ve had a terrible experience with this joke of a company. initially ordered the shed, took our other one down in preparation, arranged help etc to receive e mail day prior to delivery stating delayed a week. we contacted customer services and i e mailed and didn’t even receive a response! no apology nothing
When the shed finally arrived (6 weeks after placing initial order), a roof baton was bent, we sent a picture to receive a response back saying its wood, it will basically bend back into place. They advised us to put the shed up then see what it was like (so they wanted us to erect the shed to potentially have to deconstructed! we ended up buying a new piece from local timber yard. The customer service has been shocking, not expected when you are spending significant amounts of money.
My advice is avoid, avoid (i know they come in at a good price however, i would advise spending that little bit more to be treated like a valued customer, not like they are doing you a favour!
