QNAP sperrt offenbar bestimmt Clouddienste
Ich kann von QNAP Geräten mittlerweile nur abraten. Für mein NAS habe ich insgesamt etwa 2.000 € ausgegeben. Nach einem Wechsel des Cloudanbieters für mein Backup kam es über eine WebDAV Verbindung zu plötzlichen Abbrüchen. Laut Support wird der Cloudanbieter nicht unterstützt, OBWOHL es sich um eine standardisierte WebDAV-Verbindung handelt, die sowohl von QNAP als auch vom Cloudanbieter unterstützt wird. Was genau die Hintergründe sind, kann man mir nicht sagen, da es sich um interne technische Informationen handelt. Ich vermute mal stark, dass sich der Cloudanbieter wohl nicht auf einen finanziellen Deal einlassen wollte und somit einfach gesperrt wurde? Ich würde gerne eines besseren belehrt werden, aber der QNAP Support ist nicht nur langsam sondern auch überflüssig. Für mich KEINE Kaufempfehlung.

Sauvegarde sur NAS Qnap inaccessible. Sav contacté depuis plus de 3 mois. On me dit qu'il faut que la R&D se penche sur le problème. Accès a distance activé plusieurs fois mais aucune intervention. Bref on dirait bien que j'ai tout perdu et que d'avoir un NAS ne sert a rien avec Qnap.
Größter Fehlkauf ever!
Sie tragen sich mit dem Gedanken ein QNAP-NAS zu kaufen? Beachten Sie bitte unbedingt - also wirklich UNBEDINGT: Das NAS benötigt ein eigenes Zimmer mit LAN-Anschluss, am besten im Keller; Denn es kommt NIE zur Ruhe, die verbauten Festplatten gehen NIE in den Ruhemodus, ob Sie darauf zugreifen oder nicht!
In einschlägigen Foren, deutsch- oder englischsprachig, werden Sie seitenweise verzweifelte User finden, die alles mögliche versuchen - alles vergebens! Nichts hilft.
Und glauben Sie mir: Sie hören die ständigen Zugriffe auf die NAS-HHD's! Relaxen oder gar schlafen ist nicht einmal dann möglich, wenn Sie es sich zwei Zimmer entfernt von dem Gerät bequem machen.
Nur drei Dinge helfen: Keller, SSD, statt HDD oder QNAP-NAS ausschalten.
Sie halten meine Schilderung für übertrieben? Bemühen Sie bitte die Suchmaschine Ihres Vertrauens und suchen Sie bspw. nach "qnap endlose Festplattenaktivität".
Qnap NAS Speicher aufrüsten auf 8 GB, Speicherauslastung max. 25%, Swap ausschalten (dafür sollten Sie Linux-Kenntnisse mitbringen).... NIX! Die Festplatten rödeln nervtötend! UNAUFHÖRLICH!
Alle sog. Apps abschalten (wofür dann ein NAS?) --> NIX! Es rödelt weiter.
Und, als wäre das nicht genug, gibt QNAP an, dass mein NAS im Betrieb 15,25 Wh verbraucht. Gemessen sind es tatsächlich doppelt so viel.
Fazit: Fehlkauf!

Avoid as hardly ever works
I've had a QNAP NAS for about 4 years and it's utterly woeful. When I want to watch something on Plex there's now a 70% chance it won't work because there's an issue with QNAP. Then there's the condescending support to boot (when it finally comes through). I wish I hadn't bought their hardware - take my advice and avoid at all costs.

I bought a home QNAP NAS (2-Bay QNAP TS-230 Desktop NAS Enclosure) in 2021. It worked well, though 12 months later one of the 3rd party disks failed, and I tried to replace it without reading how to actually do it. In short, I made the NAS inoperable. I contacted QNAP support who after understanding what had happened spend 3 hours logged onto my PC working out how to fix my mistake, with professionalism and patience (Mike, QNAP UK) did this. I have had significantly worse enterprise support - to reviece this help for a product that cost £160 (much less than Mike's time), has added a vocal advocate to this company. There devices are prone to malware, the only way to use them effectively is to restrict them from the internet and only use them locally.
Then 1 day, 2 factor authentication stopped working, and at the same time, all my security questions wouldn't work, stopping me from actually accessing device.
The OS on their devices is RUBBISH, the worst ever, the worst thing I ever bought.
Prodotti buoni per utenti consapevoli
Vedo molte recesioni negative, ma se si vanno a leggere si capisce subito che si tratta di utenti poco esperti. I prodotti sono assolutamente validi; certo ci sono alcuni aspetti migliorabili, ma nel complesso si tratta di un'ottima azienda con prodotti di buon livello.
Per chi si lamenta della scarsa sicurezza: trattandosi di NAS è abbastanza comune voler mettere a disposizione i servizi su internet, ma se non si sa come farlo in sicurezza (VPN, filtri IP, etc) è meglio cercarsi un altro hobby invece di lamentarsi che un hacker ha sfondato il servizio di condivisione file su SMB esposto su internet! QNap rilascia periodicamente bollettini sulle vulnerabilità delle propire applicazioni: se non si è in grado di leggerli e di proteggere la propria rete dalle incursioni dei malintenzionati meglio affidarsi alle chiavette USB per conservare i propri dati.
Poi leggo che un altro si lamentava che le applicazioni venivano ritirate dallo store. A parte che esistono store alternativi dal quale è possibile installare anche applicazioni di terze parti, direi che qui siamo a livelli di ignoranza abissale su come funzionano le licenze software, sorvoliamo.
Poi c'è quell'altro che si lamenta di aver perso i dati a causa di un aggiornamento del firmware: può capitare, è capitato anche a me. Certo è fastidioso, ma qui ci sono due cose da ricordare: i dati sono recuperabili estraendo gli HD e facendoli leggere da qualsiasi distro di Linux, montandolo come raid software; non dico che sia un'operazione semplice, ma qui andiamo al secondo punto, e cioè che un NAS non costituisce un backup: pensare che siccome metto i dati su un volume RAID allora ce li ho in cassaforte significa non aver capito molto bene a cosa serve la tecnologia che si sta utilizzando. Fate backup periodici su un'altra unità dei dati che ritenete importanti.
Infine c'è quello che si lamenta che ha difficolta a scaricare materiale pirata con emule, che oggi ha vinto il mio personale premio dell'internet.
Non mi dilungo ulteriormente.
Certo, il software è migliorabile (ma comunque QNap fa rilasci abbastanza frequenti), ma se non si ha idea di quello che si sta facendo è meglio lasciar perdere, ci sono prodotto molto peggiori, non ha senso punire QNap con valutazioni pessime per problemi dovuti alla propria incompetenza o ignoranza.
La mia valutazione da utente soddisfatto di questo produttore non sarebbe superiore al 4 su 5, ma visto che qui sotto si sono sfogati i frustrati ignoranti di internet devo mettere necessariamente 5.

Mit QNAP bin ich sehr zufrieden.
Natürlich bin ich als Laie mit den vielen Möglichkeiten die der Server bietet überfordert. Aber das liegt an mir, nicht am Produkt
Wenn ich nicht mehr weiter wusste habe ich auf Anfrage immer fachkompetente Hilfe vom Support erhalten.
Bei meiner letzten Anfrage habe ich nach genau 13 Minuten! eine Antwort erhalten die mein Problem löste.

Installed the nas connected ISCSI which went ok, the next day it dropped a drive and nuked all the ISCSI connections.
I figured it wasn't the end of the world as I hardly had anything on it at the time. Rebuilt the entire system redeployed ISCSI did exactly the same thing the next day.
unfortunately had moved my DC's onto the ISCSI drive then couldn't find a way to get them off the disk. Total mess around with support which wasted a week of my time before I decided it would be faster to rebuild the entire AD domain.
Waste of money rubbish support.. don't waste your time on this crap. I wish i had spent my $3000 elsewhere.
I have had a QNAP NAS drive for about 5…
I have had a QNAP NAS drive for about 5 years.
In that time it performed well until a few days ago it was subject to a successful ransomware attack via a weakness in the QNAP firmware.
It never occured to me that criminals could access the QNAP drive and deny you access to all of your files and the last backup I did (we are taking about 600GB of data so not a trivial task) was 3 months ago. Effectively I have lost 3 months worth of data.
QNAP were aware of the problem in January and supposedly pushed a firmware fix to this vunerablity in February. Yet in spite of the fact that I have auto-firmware upgrade enabled for a daily check and update, my NAS drive firmware was not updated.
I have already spent whole 2 days unsuccessfully trying to see if there is a way of recovering my data (paying criminals is not an option) and will now have to spend at least another day reformatting drive and restoring what data I have.
To say I am unhappy with QNAP is an understatement.

Habe nach Qnap Crah ( Datenverschlüsselung ) die TS251 neu installiert. Das ganze extrem langsam. Da war früher mein X86 Computer eine Rakete gegen. Systemauslastung dauernd auf 97 - 100%. Habe viel Geld investiert mit Speicheraufrüstung. Nie wieder Qnap.
QNAP NAS is a bust
Setup and configuration is very kluge. Latest firmware update caused loss of network connectivity. Advanced system reset was no help. Restoration is impossible because user settings and privileges are not saved before loss of network. This is the worst NAS I have ever had (#3).

QNAP is absulutely not worth buying !!! There systems are utter crap. I had a faulty unit (expansion unit TL-D1600S) immediately after paying £1000 and receiving it and I sent it to them, they sent me a brand new unit and I had the same issue along with new problems plus I lost all of my back up data because of there useless crappy equipment !!! and now I cant even recreate new pool because it doesnt recognise my drives, I am asking for a refund then I will go with Synology. This should not be happening with new and replacement equipment, whatever happened to quality control ??? My advice to new QNAP buyers - BEWARE AND AVOID IF POSSIBLE!!!! I AM ABSULUTELY FUMING WITH THEM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Terrible experience with QNAP
I spent $3,000 on a QNAP NAS. I called them and asked them to set it up and Sergio said he could do it. I then watched him bumble his way through the set up for an hour. He finally got it set up and it seemed to be working properly, but then the issues started to pop up. Over the next four months, I had to call them 80-100 time to try to figure out why it's not working properly. They eventually told me it was probably defective, and they told me I could pay to ship it to them and get a new one. I paid $70 to ship this thing to CA, and the new one had the same problems. I then spoke with someone who did not work for QNAP who is an expert on setting them up, and within a few minutes of screen sharing with him he said "Who set this up for you? They had no idea what they were doing." That's when it became clear that this guy Sergio from QNAP screwed up the set up and I've spent 40 plus hours talking with QNAP support over the past several months trying to fix it. When I called QNAP about this, Chris said "Well, it's your responsibility to set it up properly, Sergio was just trying to help you out, so it's not our fault." Sergio was controlling my screen, he did all of the setting up. He wasn't just giving me tips, he did it all and he did it incorrectly. This NAS will be our backup and we will find a new company to work with. What a disappointment.
