I have been trying now for 9 days to take up Quilter's offer to start investing £500 with an S&S ISA for six months to then receive a £50 reward (from moneysavingexpert.com or MSE for short) but so, when clicking on the link from MSE it prompted me to download the wrong Quilter app and after several emails from Quilter's customer service I got stuck with having deleted the old Quilter app and installed the apparently correct version.
It should have been made very clear which Quilter app to download for this offer (using a direct link) rather then letting customers experience a trial and error parcours....!!!
After 8 days and a good many emails sent to Quilter I still haven't managed to get into the 'correct' Quilter app. All it tells me is when trying to register that my email address is in use and when requesting an email with my user name to verify no email arrives.
No response anymore from Quilter customer service team as well.
Having read the many 1 Star complaints about issues with Quilter I decided to avoid them completely as the other Quilter app already only shows extremely limited investment options with no TER (fee), risk and performance transparency at all.
Unless you are a seasoned investor doing self-investment for many years and know exactly what funds you want their 'offer' is all about selling completely overprices own financial products and offering nearly no funds from competitors.
Avoid like the pest if you don't want to lose money!!!

Thank you for sharing your feedback, I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience. As you have mentioned above, the cashback deal is in relation to the Quilter Invest app, which is a self-directed investment app, which offers a smaller range of investments using our targeted support model. This differs from our Quilter app here on the investment platform, which has a range of products and investment vehicles which may require more investment knowledge, or the support of your financial adviser, with our full fund range.
As Quilter Invest is a self-directed app, which uses our targeted support model, we provide portfolios of our own fund-range which customers can choose according to their attitude to risk.
I've checked the Money Saving Expert website this morning and can see that all direct links on the website now open onto the Quilter Invest site and allow you to download the correct app from there.
With regards to accessing the app itself, my colleagues at Quilter Invest will be happy to help and they can be contacted at support@quilterinvest.com.

The one thing that really stands out is the security aspects - you can not proceed with a transaction until you have entered security codes sent to your mobile phone.
Payments are made promptly and if you encounter and problems customer service support is excellent.

Quilter may be a decent investment company, but their customer srervice for people who do not wish to and are unable to use their app (digital exclusion) is very poor.
So fine if you happy to use the App, otherwise contacting company is problematic.

I have always received good service although I know the fees are high compared with other platforms. I have only recently started to understand what stocks and shares are all about, although I have been invested in a small way for years. Looking back I can see I have been well looked after despite my ignorance, and now I am understanding and enjoying using the app. Thank you :0)

I was directed to Quilter by my financial advisor and I have been more than satisfied with every aspect of their service so far. Their email communications are excellent. The app is fantastic everything you need and more. I had the need to contact Quilter direct with a question and they were very friendly, professional and efficient.
