This isn’t my first time renting through Rex Gooding in West Bridgford Nottingham, and every experience has been excellent. Throughout my tenancy, whenever anything was needed or any repairs were required, the service was always responsive, reliable and efficient. Communication was clear, and everything was handled smoothly. Special thanks to Esme Brown for being so helpful and supportive, it really made the whole process stress-free. I’d happily recommend Rex Gooding to anyone renting in the area.

After 8 years collaboration (both rental and selling) with Rex Gooding – the association has finally come to an end. During that time our interests were carefully managed by the professional team at Rex Gooding including Stuart, Esme, Donna Charlene et al. From our experience we have no hesitation in recommending Rex Gooding and the team in buying selling and renting a property.

People have complained to this agent about one of their lets in bramcote nottingham. They don't care as long as they get their money!

I would like to express my many thanks to Jackie, for all of her help and support during the many years that Rex Gooding has been our house agent. Always responding pleasantly and quickly to my many queries, excellent customer service at all times.

We were tenants with Rex Gooding for 6 months and the experience was awful.
The main issue were the tall hedges surrounding the property. At 3 months in, we paid hundreds of pounds to have them trimmed ourselves (to be responsible tenants, taking care of the property) but shortly after we paid, we discovered that it is the landlords responsibly, as tall hedges are a health and safety risk because they require a tall ladder and specialist cutting equipment. James at Rex Gooding agreed that the hedges were the landlord's responsibility. However, the landlords dodged their responsibility and only paid half the cost (as we had already paid, they got away with this). When we left the property 3 months later, the landlords insisted that we pay for the hedges again and this time the full amount. Jemmima at Rex Gooding sided with the landlords and insisted that we should pay, even though we provided multiple evidence to her that it was not a tenant's responsibility. Her attitude was dismissive and we felt pressured by her to pay. This went to the Deposit Protection Scheme and we had to provide evidence for our case and wait for an independent judgement to see if we would be given our full deposit back. The Deposit Protection Scheme sided with us and our deposit was returned in full - Jemmima at Rex Gooding had been wrong.

There were numerous other issues throughout our 6 months with Rex Gooding - a big ant problem in the property on move-in day, serious health and safety concerns with the electrics (it took four days for Rex Gooding to get back to us, and I had to chase them), alarm issues, window problems and a shower issue - it was clear from the slow responses / ignored phone calls and their attitude that they didn't care about their tenants.

We leased a property for 5 years via a rent to rent strategy that we introduced to them which they continue to use today.

After 5 years they contacted us only 1.5 months before the lease was to renew and suggested the rent should be doubled.

We tried to reason as to why this was not feasible but we were rejected. We then had 1 month to rehouse tenants. The house was advertised before it should have been and they took our keys and would not return them even though the house was still legally ours.

They are refusing our £3000 deposit and have not supported why with substantial evidence other than saying that the house needs redecorating, the house needs weeding and apparently we owe even more rent which was never supported without any evidence as we have a solicitor letter stating otherwise.

Despite us requesting our deposit back and giving plenty of reasons as to why they are holding this illegally - they have IGNORED our request and have successfully had our deposit since 17th September when our lease ended.

They have left us with outstanding debts and we are in a worse position that we were before having the property.

If you want a reputable agent - Avoid Rex Gooding at all costs as they do not care for you. They just care about their pockets.

Had a wonderful time renting with Rex Gooding - I loved my little flat and will be very sad to not live there anymore. Jackie and the team were always so helpful with any issues promptly resolved.

Highly recommend renting with Rex Gooding! We were renting our flat for over 2 years and we had an excellent experience from start to finish. Anything raised was dealt with quickly and efficiently with good quality maintenance providers, any Rex Gooding staff that spoke to us over email or came to do inspections at the flat were so lovely, and in particular our main point or contact, Jackie, was amazing. They were particularly helpful to liase with the property owner when we were at end of contract and looking to buy a property, so they helped us get on a rolling monthly contract. Thank you!

Absolutely NO communication between Gooding and us

The sale of my mothers flat was particularly difficult given the involvement of a housing agency who held a long lease over the property
