Taste the difference - it's now awful!
Sainsbury's TV advertising claims to have reduced prices to compete with Aldi. They don't mention that they've made changes to products to do that.
The dumplings in their 'Taste the Difference Steak Casserole and Dumplings' now not only taste different; they're inedible!
OMG !!!!
OMG, went to Sainsburys Blackheath, West Midlands, today, wished I hadn't wasted the fuel. There was no food !! Well slight exaggeration I hear you say but there was no meat, steak, chicken etc, no dairy products, no salad etc. Oh the fridges are all broke cos of the heat they said, well mend them then, oh no can't do that costs too much, because all the clever supermarkets have all updated their fridges, but not Sainsburys. I could have had pizza but I did not want pizza, Husband wanted steak ha you will be lucky !!! So I did do some shopping, mainly pop and ooh a melon but I had nothing for tea !!!! Had to use more fuel and go to another supermarket who had updated their fridges and got what else I needed. Oh yes, got some milk from Sainsburys ???? Also half the milk was all over the floor and there was no staff willing to mop it up !!! They talk of 15 minute journeys to shop in your local supermarket, took me over an hour and if we are reduced to these 15 minute journeys, let's hope the fridges have been updated otherwise you will STARVE !!! Well it was my last ever shopping trip to Sainsburys because I have discovered that another supermarket that sells "not just food this is M and S food" is not on a lot of things, not as expensive as people think !!! Goodbye Sainsburys, customer for over 30 years tut tut ........
Cancelled my total order on the day it…
Cancelled my total order on the day it was meant to be delivered - after theyd taken money and sent a message it would arrive on that morning. Then claimed they had to ccancel every order to every customer- which is a lie
Delivery didn’t arrive in designated…
Delivery didn’t arrive in designated time slot (which was paid for). Customer service are unable to track drivers or process cancellation or refund. They have to process everything through the store who don’t answer their phones, your then left in a position where you have no confirmation you will receive groceries, 2 hours after the times slot, or your money returned.
Will not be stopping from this brand again.
Recent in shop purchases at Sprucefield…
Recent in shop purchases at Sprucefield Co Down. One item, a hand wash was passed through the manned till check but then disappeared. On paying no items was left on the till area and a thorough search at home could not locate the item. It appeared as charged on the receipt. One is left to ponder where the item is now!
Abysmal customer service structure - deliberately difficult to deal with to shut down complaints
One small problem applying a gift voucher to a payment for Click and Collect has turned into hours of fighting through customer disservice systems. Their replies are innane and unmeaningful apologies referring you to somewhere else at every turn and giving no solution to a payment method problem on their own website.
This truly amazed and saddened me
This truly amazed and saddened me. I usually buy gift cards as gifts as the recipient can then choose something they like. I have done this many times with no trouble. I ordered two gift cards in one e-mail (should be no issue with this) both for £160 each. On the day of purchase there was a real mess up and they sent me one voucher which worked and one which would not. I ordered these cards in May and was sent two cards but only one worked. This is where my main issues lie. Straight away they blamed the bank and cleared themselves without checking anything, the feeling of rudeness was there all the time, they did not care. I went to my bank and they swore it was not them. I had started to wonder about Sainsburys gift cards as a company as they behaved so oddly. I beleived my bank despite Sainsburys gift card stating in no uncertain terms they had better find it. They then left as though all concluded. I sent them a screenshot of the reply from my bank to which I was met with complete silence. I mailed and mailed asking for an outcome. It transpires they had the money all the time and refunded it eventually. Not once did anyone say sorry or admit they were wrong. It was arrogance if i had to choose a word, they were so unhelpful and would never have given me my money back had it not come to light.
I will never use them again, it was probably the most arrogant, non caring staff i have ever encountered in any business. Utterly horrendous experience which has left a real bitter taste in my mouth. I will never recommend you to anyone as i cant as it was so poor. Absolutely no mention of some compensation for calling me a liar, telling me a pack of lies until they were found out and had to admt it. 'Sorry' was not a word that was said to me at all. Be careful these are a sly lot and would seem to take your money and then sit on it and not tell you. Watch your transactions like a hawk.
Unavailable products in the £15 meal deal
When you order a meal deal for £15 there is a main course, a side, a dessert and a drink. If you order on line and do not wish to receive substitutes each item is discounted individually by a certain amount to a total of £15. HOWEVER, if any item is unavailable, they charge you the full amount for each of the items that you receive. The customer is not at fault if an item is not in stock. If the same problem occurs at Asda or Morrisons, the customer is charged the deal or discounted price. This is the 2nd time that the same problem has occurred. you need to check the lower item price on the original order email against the inflated receipt price
Ordered online
Ordered online, saw their ad for Jersey Royal New Potatoes, Taste the difference - they arrived, disgusting, going off and probably wont last the day
went online to request a refund and their website kept saying, not eligible for a refund so rang customer phone 08003281700 and as usual, could not make out what she was saying, asked to speak to someone who spoke English, but no, put down the phone, I have taken a pic of potatoes, now I have to go out and shop for potatoes
SAINSBURYS WHITE EGGS MADNESS…
I frequently shopped at Sainsburys store in Ellesmere Port. However, I became aware today that Sainsburys are stopping the provision of brown eggs and will only sell white eggs in future. This is apparently because white eggs are supposedly " better for the carbon footprint". How on earth will this be better? What difference will this make? AND, Which idiot manager at Sainsburys decided this was a good thing? It will affect customer choice. It will affect our farmers yet again, giving them more problems to deal with, as if they haven't already got enough. It's madness and will not make any difference. It is so ridiculous. This is Sainsbury's dictating what customers should buy. Well, I'm not having it. My shopping including my brown eggs will be bought from a different supermarket. One that will respect my choices and sells the eggs I want. Oh and by the way Sainsbury's make it very difficult, almost impossible to make a complaint. So !
It's goodbye to Sainsbury's from me.

Sainsburys great yarmouth.bad customer care Argos inside sainsburies would not let me have my ebay small parcel despite me having a yodel delivery notice to their store, And a ebay delivery notice to their store both pick of delivery notices on my phone staff nasty and arrogant a big buffoon said it will get sent back were it come from pakistan more likely a staff members house. Bad experience when I received my…
Bad experience when I received my deliveries from Sainsbury. The first times I had to give back two items in every delivery but the last time was awful. 6 items refunded: the rye bread smashed, Broken bags of okra and apples, leaking washing liquid, yellow cavolo Nero and tenderstem brocoli. I had to take onions with the leave growing as I really needed as well as okra and detergent.

Took my elderly mother in Sainsbury’s and she needed to use the toilet. What greeted us would nothing more than filth. Did put a review on the store in question for Google not to put it up saying the photos I took could be copyright
Sainsbury gagging customers
Sainsbury tell us more people now shop in store, so they now prevent you from reviewing anything that's really bad. You have to have ordered the product online. If you buy in store they say, using your nectar card they may send you a email to review products, of course they never do.
The perfect way to stop bad reviews
Took my elderly father to his local…
Took my elderly father to his local store in Reedswood. This store has ample parking space clean entrance security mostly at front of shop.Staff who work the selfservice hats off to you.As for availability very low on meat joints who ever they had on freezer they were arrogant when I asked a question about food being out for so long in the heat.
Embarrassing & a shambles.
Going from a colleague to a customer to not going back ever! The management do not care about others well being or mental health. They treat you unfairly & working their previously was a massive error in my life. If your thinking of working for Sainsburys then don't! Customer service is appalling & unless they get your money in their pockets, they won't value you. Very unprofessional management team, I feel sorry for the current staff who get treated like crap!
They will still sell out of date items without you realising, they don't give a toss about anyone but themselves. A place to avoid & their managers are an embarrassment to the company
This company does not value the…
This company does not value the customers at all. Ordered online as a mother of 2 under 2, and received mouldy tomatoes! That is unacceptable. I called the Huddersfield store and they said there is nothing they can do and they would try to speak to the person who packed the order! Ee excuse me, people are struggling everyday to buy the basics and you are messing with their food? They sent me wrong items, and replaced with completely irrelevant items. That is on every single online order! They don’t deserve my money.
My Mum and Dad used Sainsbury’s online…
My Mum and Dad used Sainsbury’s online delivery service to avoid having to go out in the very hot weather. My Dad is 81 years old and struggles mobilise on a good day but with the added humidity we’ve had in recent days makes it almost impossible especially with heavy shopping bags.
The £200 worth of shopping arrived on time but some of the food smelt off. My Mum mentioned it to the driver and he ignored her concerns.
When unpacking the shopping the smell had transferred onto most of the food so Mum used antibacterial wipes to sanitise the packaging. If I had been there I would not have accepted the order but Mum and Dad do not like to “cause any problems”.
We wrote an email to Sainsbury’s customer service and all of the above was explained and we asked for the shopping to be collected. Not only because of the foul smell but because the vegetables were discoloured and shrivelled up and the fridge food had a maximum of a two shelve life on them. My parents ordered a large shop to cover them for up to a week to avoid having to go out in the heat.
Customer services replied and offered them £7 compensation.
In the email we explained that Mum and Dad have used Sainsbury’s for most of their married life and they have never had service as poor as this in all the time.
I will be taking the shopping back to Sainsbury’s tomorrow and demanding a full refund!
This is not the type of service you’d expect from one of the leading supermarket chains, but saying that is there such a thing as customer care anymore?
Sainsbury’s you’ve not only upset my parents but you’ve also lost two loyal customers who spend a lot of money in your shop.
I heard a rumour about Sainsbury's…
I heard a rumour about Sainsbury's meat, so I contacted them thinking the rumour would be squashed, I included their CEO, I wanted answers to the questions below.
1. If the leg of lamb I have purchased was killed at a Halal slaughter house
2. Is it possible the leg of lamb I purchased has had a Halal blessing?
3. Why can the leg of Lamb I brought not be sold in the EU, is it A, Solely down to Brexit and the Northern Ireland border issue. Or B. for another reason?.
Sainsbury's refuse to answer these questions they will say, In New Zealand it is common for lamb to be blessed however we have never requested this and all of our own brand meat is from animals stunned prior to slaughter, that does not answer my questions, so I have closed my Sainsbury’s account, and I won't be shopping with you Sainsbury’s anymore. I have a right know about the food you are selling me. Can anyone else help with answer my questions please?
Discounted offers not reflected at the self service till.
Discounted prices don't seem to be reflected when it comes to paying at the self service till.
This has happened twice this week. I wonder how many times I missed the overcharge!
