Northallerton branch rebuilt my Stihl chainsaw and it’s now like new. I’m absolutely delighted with it.

1st thing is unless you are spending over £1000 the level of service is beyond poor, I went intolook at a mower for our garden, tried to sell me a £1600 unit, 2nd visit looked at a trimmer, again tried to sell us a £700 unit, when we opted for a £300 unit the look of disappointment was clear, then told "had to be ordered", as we stated that was fine I was asked if there was a 2nd choice. To which I explained, I'm not a professional landscaper and should the unit I have bought not be enough I would be in to upgrade, chasing up the order as asked to within a couple of days, all 4ofthe staff I spoke to could not get through to the stockist/ manufacturer, after a week I was told it should be here in 30 days, refund straightaway offered, I took my business elsewhere and won't be returning here again, I bet a big budget and they are all over you,

In this day and age, it is refreshing to deal with a company who go above and beyond in regard to delivery and customer service, but Sam Turner is such a company. I purchased a Barbour jacket from them online as they were advertising the jacket at the cheapest price I could find on the internet. I had to return the jacket as it was too large for me. This was a simple process with them emailing me a DPD return label. Posted the return on a Thursday afternoon immediately before the May Bank Holiday. Received a replacement jacket 09:00 on the following Wednesday. Excellent service all round. I highly recommend them.

FABULOUS, I mean FABULOUS SERVICE. We ordered a battery for our hedge trimmer on Sunday early afternoon. A VERY, VERY pleasant and helpful lady guided us through the website to find the item we were looking for. When I asked how long this would take to be delivered, she said normally two days but their online services being very efficient, it probably be with us sooner. And she was RIGHT. We received our battery on Monday at 10am!!!! Cheaper than Amazon and Quicker than Amazon. It is VERY rare I can say that which is worth mentioning. THANK YOU VERY, VERY MUCH. My husband is busy cutting our hedge as I am typing. WHAT A FABULOUS, FABULOUS EXPERIENCE. We will certainly use Sam Turner and Sons' services again in the future. THANK YOU

Excellent service - ordered a Shepherdess lamb feeder - arrived promptly. The water heater was faulty (no fault of theirs) and they arranged replacement on the same day I notified.

Cafe staff lovely. All clothing and accessories staff great. Gardening staff horrendous. Rude quite aggressive. Went in Easter Saturday and although the chap wasn't particularly rude to us he was to other customers rushing them through purchases. We enquired about plant pots prices to one lady staff in her 40s to be quite brusquely told if no reduced label then they're not reduced and carried on watering plants. Shame as I love the gardening section but hope the staff are different next visit.

This company used to be so good now you can understand why so many people use Amazon. Wanted a 15L wheeled pressure sprayer. Online said 4 in stock. Visited the store today and waited almost 20 mins at the machinery counter after searching the whole store for it. Assistant couldn’t get his PC to work (same happened last time buying an aerator). Waited another 5 mins while he disappeared to find a sprayer came back empty handed cos they weren’t where they should be if they were in stock (same happened buying my aerator). Wasted the 45min round trip to the store as well as the time in there. Bought online now from a competitor. I really want to support local stores but how and why when this is the experience? Bring back the old S T & Sons please

Ordered a Sack Barrow Monday. Didn’t arrive. Contacted Sam Turners and they said they were sending another out for a Saturday delivery. Never arrived.

Unfortunately, this business has become very hit and miss.

Can’t speak highly enough of the service I have recieved. Super quick and efficient. Would highly recommend.

Well stocked online shop. Next day postage was greatly appreciated. Will use these guys again.

Staff are well informed, pleasant and helpful.
Bought a garden leaf blower yesterday, had an issue within 2hrs, the brand inst important, could have been pilot error or just suspect quality materials, but they replaced it and would deal with the warranty return themselves. No Spanish inquisition or sucking through teeth just professionally handled.

Recently bought a pair of branded wellingtons (Muckmaster). Amazingly comfy, look good but leak and squelch every step.

After four emails, lots of pics and a video all demonstrating the manufacturing fault, they are insisting the boots be returned for inspection leaving me stuck without wellies in winter! Poor customer service from Sam Turner and poor practice from Muckmaster

Never used this company before, but after extensive searches looking for some cookware they came out on top.

Delivery was rapid (although DPD still continue to be one of the worst logistics company's) and the products were first class.

Will definitely recommend and will use them again.

Stilh arrived damaged. Requested advice and help from Sam Turner which was not received and in fact wrong advice given (that the product was fine and it was normal to have strong vibrations). Continued to use machine, which as a consequence was further damaged. Only by chance did a very serious accident not take place. Sam Turner blamed experienced gardener instead of following up properly. Once it was returned to Sam Turner they demanded payment to fix it. Beware.

I ordered a STIHL strimmer on line and paid Turner and Sons in advance in full, as usual. What turned up four days later was a second-hand used strimmer packaged in a generic cardboard box with grass stains, and the strimmer head fell off when i turned it on. Internet sales rely on peer to peer trust, this has left me feeling less than trusting of Turner and sons. I then had to re-package and return the item and my money was sent back to me when all I wanted was the original item that I ordered from them. An unfortunate waste of my trust, time, and energy. I cannot recommend this company.

I ordered some Chelsea boots last week and they were delivered two days later free of charge. Had been told 3-5 days. The Blundstone boots were a good reduced price but now they’re back to usual price, I think. Never had any issue with this company and always helpful if there’s a query. Well done, Mr Turner!
