Sam Turner & Sons Reviews 

I was hesitant to place an order due to the bad reviews but thought I’ll pay via PayPal so I’ll be protected. I purchased a Barbour hat at 15.52 on Friday 22/03/24, it was delivered today 23rd by DPD I paid for regular delivery so was very happy to get it today. Great experience would recommend.

Unfortunately I would advise to avoid making a purchase from this shop. I spent over £2000 on new gardening equipment including a new mower. The mower which I believed to be faulty ( manufacture ) was arranged to be sent back. I was told that I’d be informed when the mower would be collected to which I wasn’t. The mower was then collected a couple of days after my phone call. However no one was in so I had to leave work early to meet the driver so he could collect the mower, I then made a series’s of follow up calls to check the status of my mower which were unfortunately unsuccessful! I was told several times they’d phone me back to which they did not. Finally after chasing again a chap from the workshop did phone me back and insured me the mower was in full working order. This I thought was the end of the matter and I was ensured I’d have my mower back within a few days and certainly before the end of the week. I then received an email stating my mower was out for delivery however sam turners have sent the mower to a complete wrong address. The first order and collection were both from my address so I have no idea how they’ve sent the mower back to another address. I chased them up again to inform them of the address situation to which I was informed again I would phoned back! Shock horror once again I wasn’t. So In all I’ve now been without my commercial mower for nearly 3 weeks with a embarrassing levels of communication. AVOID there are other places with similar prices and certainly better customer care!!

ordered 3 clear IR lamps for my iguana and they arrived well in time. the items were packaged securely and these were the cheapest priced bulbs.

Bought a new battery mower fill kit.

The kit was advertised with the latest battery but the delivery had the older battery from 2021. They claimed it was an accident but I have my doubts. Apparently sending the correct battery out.

Spoke to Steve in horticultural machinery regarding a fuel filter. Sent a couple of photos and the correct filter was identified. As always excellent customer service.

Ordered 20l creosote on 14th Feb. Delivery arranged for 16th. Courier informed me parcel was damaged, so spoke to Sam Turner late on 16th. They arranged for a replacement, which arrived at 10.00 on Tuesday 20th.
Great service and very impressed.

I ordered a pair of noratherm wellies and tried them out a few times before writing a review but believe me they are the best ones I’ve ever had warm in minus temperatures and feet nice and dry
I’ve even been walking in them and I’ve covered seven miles on one of the walks and they were so comfortable
I wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again

Orderd branded clothes at great discounted price. Order placed on a Saturday afternoon with standard delivery. Updates kept coming over the weekend and product arrived on Monday! Wow - great service, great communication and great priced product. What a gem!

Really don’t understand the poor reviews. Bought a Barbour jacket at a fraction of the price that it was being offered elsewhere. Ordered 10pm Wednesday evening and it was here by 4.30pm on Friday. Excellent quality and very quick delivery. Item ended up being too small (an oversight on my part). They have already arranged an exchange for a larger size and sent out a returns label. On a Sunday too ! Cannot fault the quality, price or service.

Bought a Barbour jacket of them last week, saved £90 quid from store that I nearly bought from in town. Ordered on the Saturday arrived on the Monday, excellent service.

I then decided I wanted the matching hood again ordered it and it arrived 2 days later.

Bought some Muck Boots from this company which split at the side of the heel within a year of normal gardening use. Despite these boots having a one year guarantee they have refused to honour this suggesting they haven’t been ‘cleaned and treated’! I am old enough to have used wellington boots for many many years and none have split like this before so the rubber they use must be of very poor quality and therefore does not justify the premium price charged.

All companies that can't deliver to my mainland UK postcode deserve one star. Getting items to the Highlands is not rocket science, we are closer to this company's HQ than Cornwall is.

Best price around for Le Chameau wellies, delivered within 24 hours. Will definitely shop here again. Well done Sam Turner.

Bought some Haix boots in August 2023, by the middle of November 2023 all the eyelets had snapped rendering the boots unusable. Contacted Sam Turners & Sons directly three times and did not receive one reply. I have contacted Haix directly who are the same, got your money so don't care about after care. As such the company I work for will no longer buy anything from Sam Turner & Sons again, nor will be but Haix, Arbortec all the way going forward.

Purchased a barbour jacket online at a great price . Purchased Tuesday afternoon jacket arrived on Thursday free postage.
