Walked into showroom. Employee found his lunchbreak more important than a potential client and asked us to come back later and make an appointment. Missed opportunity for a large project. He would have known that if he had shown any interest.

We are Select Wallpaper, in Broughty Ferry Dundee? there arent any other wallpaper shops here or any other wallpaper shops in the UK called Select Wallpaper, so we are slightly baffled by this review?
Please contact me personally if i can help you find materials for your projects and i will utterly help, but please remove this review as its clearly for the wrong business.

Outstanding, friendly customer service
The wallpaper I wanted to order was being discontinued and the manufacturer would not sell it to me so I tried Select Wallpapers who did not have it in stock but they then spoke directly to the manufacturer. Diane promised me she could get it and it arrived a few weeks later. She literally worked a miracle and I am so grateful as I was halfway through decorating so in a bit of a pickle if I couldn’t get hold of it. Diane is the business owner and she could not care anymore - she rang me personally more than once to explain the situation. She was lovely. I am delighted with my wallpaper - thank you!

Brilliant service, I phoned to see if they had the wallpaper that I couldn’t get anywhere else and the lady was so helpful and found the paper, checked so see it was in stock and it was ordered in the afternoon and delivered to me the next day! Amazing service I recommend it to everyone

The company took our money and went silent
The company took our money for the order we placed on 27/5 and promised a 3-5 delivery day window. It is now 8/6 and we have heard nothing. They also failed to respond to an email from us chasing the order and their 24/48 response window has lapsed. We have called the company and the person we spoke to could not help in any way other than to take a message but there was no contact until we placed this review. We finally have our money back but we had to cancel our decorator.

I have responded to your email, i understand you are frustrated , we are working with minimal staff right now as i am on annual leave.
i can admit yor order has not gone according to plan and you should have been notified earlier, sadly we placed the order with our supplier in good faith of your chosen wallpaper, they failed to notify us of any issue, which has then had a knock on effect, where we presumed your order had been fulfilled.
Not only that, upon chasing we have been notified the wallpaper is no longer available.
please know this is rare and you have been refunded, we of course want to fulfil orders and we never aim to disappoint our customers, sometimes things dont go to plan and for this i am very sorry and we will look on ways to improve.
The person you got on the phone a couple of hours ago, is our receptionist and that is all they do, they take a message while things are busy elsewhere, the call spills over to this service, but we always endevour to get back to you quickly once we get the message.
they notified me that you refused to leave the call, and threatened to phone the police and to keep calling them back and that we are a scam.
i can only apologise as that is never the impression we want customers to have, it just so happens that suppliers discontinue designs over night and dont always notify us of this being the case.
I hope you have my email offering 20% off any design you like, we are happy to send you complimentary samples to help choose something else as we would love to prove to you how passionate we are about getting things right, as we do with many customers and again i am sorry this has been your experience.
please email me back so we can start fresh.

Poor customer service
Had an email to say wallpaper sample had been dispatched last week and was on the way with Royal Mail. Had another email today to say wallpaper has been discontinued and no stock left.
Phoned customer services to clarify whether I'd receive the sample as had received 2 conflicting emails.
Lady on customer services was rude! She explained the wallpaper had been discontinued and was old stock. Absolutely fine. But when I questioned why I had received an email saying it had been dispatched, she said they don't really mean that, just that they put a request in to the supplier. When I said this was misleading for the customer, her words were "I don't think there's any need for that," and "I've already explained." The lady then went on to explain again the sample could not be provided as the line was discontinued. I said she had explained this perfectly and the issue was not that the sample couldn't be provided. The issue was inaccurate communication to customers saying an order had been dispatched when it actually had only been requested. There is a clear difference. The lady could not seem to grasp this. Not a positive experience for the first time dealing with this company. Since posting review, had an email saying if I remove, they'll happily look for alternative samples! Yet again, failing to grasp the issue!!

I tried to reach out to you. We absolutely had hoped that the sample you ordered was available, we sent the request to our supplier who we rely on for sampling.
A few days later we were notified that the sample was no longer available, i had also tried to get you a stock cutting, to which i was informed there was no remaining stock to get a stock cutting from. Making the design and colourway a discontinued range.
We contacted you to say that the sample could no longer be sent and that you would be refunded.
You sent an email to say how we had confused you, i was in the process of looking out alternatives for you to send via email. Then two hours later you phoned to say how we had misled you.
I explained that we had every intention of getting you your sample, but sadly the range is now discontinued.
You continued to say how we had misled you and at this point i personally felt this was no longer a productive conversation.
I had offered alternatives verbally to you, you rejected this offer in a rude manner, and again continued to say how we misled you.
To which i did respond with "there is no need for that" as there was nothing more for me to do and felt we were going round the circles sadly.
Many customers are happy with our service, and we put our heart and soul into keeping people happy.
I am sorry we have been unable to meet your expectations on this occasion.
I did try to reach out a second time to offer you assistance with finding something else.
And instead you have left this review.

which we cannot change, there was an error.
i actually said in my email i am at your disposal to help regardless, but that i feel your review is not an accurate representation of our company, and i had asked politely that if your conscience allows it, to remove the review.
but the offer of help has been there regardless all along.
thats the only option i have to offer as the original is not available and i cant change that its not available.
I wish you the asbolute best, but feel yet again its an unproductive coversation and have offered everything within my power to make it right, which you are clearly not interested in.
