You can't verify student status no matter what you upload, Their automatic verification system is so bad that they can't verify even with enrollment verification letter, Student ID card, Student email, Class schedule screenshot, tuition fee receipt. Its an absolute joke of a verification system. Their model to verify is so bad and the irony is they are verifying for AI Giants like Cursor and gemini.

The responses from SheerId were pretty quick and resolved the problem.

Getting verified as a student is seemingly impossible! You can never get a hold of an actual person to help you, and their auto responses are unhelpful! I have been a loyal Spotify user for YEARS, yet I cannot get any help on this problem. For God's sake, I'm using my STUDENT email to verify!!

Had a military discount with Home Depot for many years. Suddenly, I did not see the discount for an on-line order. Went to the store. They said I was suspended and I had to be verified through SheerID. I attempted to be verified 4 times. There was no way of uploading supportive documents. Denied all 4 times. Contacted SheerID Support. They responded saying there was nothing they can do. Contacted HD, who said if SheerID cannot verify me, then there was nothing they could do. No more HD for me. Only Lowes.

My student status was approved through SheerID in October 2025 for a Google One student discount. I received confirmation that my verification was successful.

However, when attempting to redeem the offer, the system first prevented me from proceeding and later displayed “Verification Limit Exceeded,” even though I am not receiving any student discount benefits.

I contacted Google One support, and they clearly confirmed that the issue originates from SheerID’s verification system. They advised me to contact SheerID directly to request a reset.

I opened multiple tickets with SheerID and provided all requested information. Both tickets were closed with a generic response stating they were unable to process my request, without explanation and without offering any escalation path.

There was no transparency about why the verification was blocked, whether my previous approval is still valid, or what steps are required to resolve the issue.

For a company responsible for verifying students globally, this lack of transparency and accountability is extremely concerning. If previously approved students can be blocked without explanation and without access to proper review, the system is fundamentally flawed.

Google should seriously reconsider relying on a verification partner that does not provide meaningful resolution or transparency for students.

I am very satisfied with verification support team from SheerID. I had problems with renewing my educational access to Autodesk and after contacting SheerID I quickly got a reply and support I needed to successfully renew my access.

This was the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had!

I reached out to them twice because their identification process did not work (even though it should). They told me to look at the FAQs of the company I was doing the identification for and that the ticket would be closed now. After reaching out to that company, they told me that SheerID is responsible, so I reached out to them again. I did not get a response. Therefore I opened a new ticket, explained my issue in detail as well as offering every documentation needed, and again same automated response as the first time. No assistance whatsoever.

This is ridiculous. I have both ticket IDs and would be more than happy to share the responses of customer service, feel free to reach out.

They have the worst customer support on earth. I had an issue with being verified as student and sent them a nice support email explaining my situation. They got back to me literally saying: Yes we cant verify you, and Yes we are not going to help. No explanation! no solution. Just a NO.

Like students don't have enough issues with cost of education in this country and one place I can get some saving and this is how we are treated.

It was an easy process and very efficient.

I love the fact that they replied me within 24 hours and solved the issue I had.

Habe dann die letzte Verdienstbescheinigung hochgeladen (mit geschwärzten Verdienstdaten). Rückmeldung wieder 'nicht gültig'. Beides sind Dokumente, die von SheerID ausdrücklich als geeignet genannt werden. Kontaktmöglchkeiten gibt es nicht. Ich gebe jetzt auf und nutze andere Produkte als über SheerID.

At first, I had difficulty verifying my account, which made things very stressful because I needed access to Figma. I contacted SheerID multiple times, but I kept receiving responses that my verification had failed and could not be processed further. It was a very frustrating and discouraging experience.

However, I decided to email them again and CC Figma, attaching my enrollment proof and all the required documents. Within a day, I received a response confirming that my account had been successfully verified.

Although the initial process was difficult, I truly appreciate how quickly they resolved the issue once I provided the necessary proof. I am very thankful and grateful for their prompt assistance in the end.

My military discount for Home Depot had been accident removed, they straightened things out very quickly and I now have my discount back. Thank you very much.

I had difficulty with the website allowing me to upload my credentials. I sent a message to the customer support and they sent an email and allowed me to send via email. I received a response quickly and was able to receive approval quickly. I have used this site multiple times through the years without a problem.
