Free gifts are genuine gifts and not sub-standard freebies.

Mixed experience
I ordered four items from the company and my experience was mixed. The owl on a branch paua shell brooch is beautiful, as are the oval paua shell Celtic hook earrings. I was disappointed with the marquise paua shell pendant as the drop was much smaller than I had expected. The Celtic Tree of Life pendant was already tarnished when it arrived. The lady whom I phoned to place the order was very polite but, even though I read out the sale price of each item, she did not notice that the computer was recording the original price in some cases, therefore the total came to about £60 greater than I had expected and I had to query it. She could not amend the system straightaway and had to phone me back. I would recommend that the computer system is kept updated to be consistent with catalogue and internet prices. Also, twice the assistant told me there would be a postage charge of £3.95, so twice I had to correct her as the order came to over £100 and therefore the postage should have been free. I was sent two £5 vouchers which cannot be used together to reduce the price of a new order, instead of being sent one £10 voucher as indicated in the catalogue. I was also sent a different free gift from the one I had ordered even though the assistant had not told me the one I had chosen was not available (in which case, I would have chosen something different from the one which arrived which is of no use to me). I would recommend that the company takes more care to get details correct. (The "date of experience" I have submitted is the date on the invoice.)

Not your usual quality of service and product.
Lack of updates on delivery even when I emailed the company I received no reply. The ring is probably on its way back as the stone is slipping around in the setting.

Quality products and helpful service.
Although I had a problem with my choice of jewellry, after contact with Shipton, I was able to go to the Newquay store to exchange for a more suitable product. I was sorted by a lovely lady -Jackie who showed such patience and help. Unfortunately there was a delayed delivery due to being very busy! I would certainly use Shipton again - such quality products.

We hope the order was accompanied with a letter stating we are out of stock of the pink box and did not want to hold up your order, so a replacement green one was sent, all exactly the same design and size as the pink but we understand the frustration this may have caused.
