I am so happy with my breakfast bar chairs. Finding chairs to hold a heavier weight is difficult to find and for a good price and style.
We came across simply Bar Stools and found the perfect chair. We were really sceptical at first but they arrived the next day and had gold foot rests in the box so now we have 4 beautiful, velvet grey bar chairs with gold foot rests. The delivery was excellent and I have been recommending these chairs and company to everyone!

A new pair of chairs to replace the same design I had purchased off John Lewis 10 years ago , the old ones were only faux leather / pvc & domestic grade, the chrome was going rusty and the gas lifts were creaking after 10 years of use.

The new stools I have ordered last Thursday at 2pm from Simply bar stools arrived the following morning .( Last Friday )

The new leather covered stools / seats are so so much more comfortable / padded out compared to my old pair of John Lewis versions that I have just re-cycled at the local tip yesterday .

Upon Assembly of the new stools last Friday morning I found one of the heavy chrome sheet covered metal disc stool bases had a few dents in the top surface indented and dent protruding outwards too , damaged at the factory in China as I only spotted the damage when peeling the protective white PVC cover off the base disc / the disc bases were well wrapped / packaged originally .

I Emailed images to Simply bar stools at midday and Naomi replied to my email within 10 mins saying a replacement disc was leaving them last Friday 12th September 2025

Today Monday 15th September 2025 , the new base arrived at 10 am with DHL , & I have just fitted it to the chair / seat / gas lift assembly

My new chairs / stools are commercial grade.. that I have been informed & have a 2 year guarantee .

I am confident as the covering of the seat is leather they will last a lot longer than the Faux leather / PVC covered John Lewis versions of the same design I purchased 10 years ago .

Yes the leather versions are twice the price of the PVC covered versions ,

But in life you get what you pay for !

I see it in my trade of manufacturing fine jewellery for the last 42 years, Precious metal all ground out of the inside of rings to make them lighter , thus to cost less to the customer ........
But in the long run you are compromising the durability of a piece of fine jewellery when it is hollowed out if you want it to last more than a lifetime!

Ordered 2 bar stools, received within the time scale, one of the bases had some scratches, relayed it back to the company, replacement base was sent out straight away, very good service and response to the issue. Will recommend to friends and family

Poor Customer Service Responsiveness. I ordered stools yesterday at 16.42. Later, I realised the size was wrong and sent an URGENT cancellation. I received an auto email saying to call a number (provided) instead of emailing to ensure fast action. It says lines open 9am. I have been calling since 9am. No lines open. Just a voice message. No function to leave a message. I have sent a couple more messages to Support and Sales. No replies. If anyone from this company is listening, please respond.

I bought two Lamboro Deluxe Square Base stools from Simply Barstools about two years ago, and one of the gas pistons has been failing resulting in the stool constantly "sinking". I'd tried buying a replacement piston online but couldn't find one compatible. I then had the bright idea of contacting Simply Barstools and their response was brilliant. It turned out the faulty part was under warranty, and once confirmed which type of piston I required, it was despatched straight away. I cannot fault their service.

Ordered 2 bar stools - easy process and they arrived quickly. Had a couple of minor issues which were quickly dealt with by Customer Services. Very pleased with stools and would recommend.

Terrible service, delivered damaged goods then failed to respond to emails latterly when needing another part to replace the damaged item

Ordered 3 stools, only 2 were delivered. Stools were called grey but were more like a light olive green so now need to return the 2 that were delivered. 3 days later, I am still awaiting a number from them so that I can return the 2 and get the refund. Still do not know what is happening with the lost parcel. Have received no emails and had to call 3 times now. Avoid.

I placed an order for three bar stools on a Thursday, specifically choosing this company because they advertised next-day delivery. To their credit, the three packages did arrive the following day (Friday), which initially seemed promising.
However, upon opening the boxes, I discovered that one of the stools parts are missing. At least one base and screes are definitely missing. I can only be sure once i complete the setup of at least one stool.

Adding to the frustration, they include a note stating that once the stools are assembled, you cannot return them — which makes it even more inconvenient if something is missing or defective.

All in all, this has been a disappointing first experience. Unfortunately, the company is closed after 5 PM, which means I now have to wait until Monday to even report the issue so whole benefit for going getting the stools early for my weekend friends get together is now lost.
The lack of basic quality control is concerning, and it doesn't reflect well on their professionalism. I’ll update this review once I’ve had a chance to speak with their customer service team to see how they handle the issue — but so far, not impressed.

Customer Service was superb .

I've been trying to get them to answer questions about my two bar stools for weeks. Just get emails ignoring the questions I ask. Customer Service? What service?

Bought 3 Ravenna Real Leather Bar Stools. Customer service patchy with the lady I talked to being unhelpful and the man very helpful. Delivery was a day late but boxes really sturdy with good internal protection so stools were in good condition - do check al contents before assembling as they don't accept returns after assembly. The chairs themselves are lovely and comfortable with supportive backrests. The gas lifts don't go down easily under my weight (45kg) but work well for my husband (88kg) while the weighted bases are excellent for stability for either of us. The weighted bases are only useable on hard floors as they are trimmed with felt so slide well but would be immovable on carpet as they are too heavy to lift. Assembly of the base and leg is done with the base upside down and due to their weight I recommend balancing the base between 2 surfaces and holding the leg underneath in the gap between while bolting together. Would have left this review on their website but there is no way of doing that so not sure how they obtained the reviews they have published. I'll review again after a few months of use.

My bar stool base had a big scratch on it I spoke to customer services who offered a partial discount but didn’t state how much and said I have cancelled your order and processed your refund. They refunded me £6 for this and since I have expressed how this is not an acceptable amount for this type of defect and didn’t agree they have totally blanked me, it would have cost them more to send out a new base or collect the bar stool! Rubbish customer service.

Have bought 3 bar stools.
One of them came on its own and couldn’t be more happier. Looking amazing.
Shame that the other 2 have damaged seat and dent bases. Tried to call them, sent an email no response:( customer service is awful.
Just disappointed that so expensive bar stools £160 each and has got so many defects.

Purchased a pair of leather bar stools on arrival the quality was very poor. The seats were both different heights and different positions. No way a pair. Sadly paid £299 I rang immediately and they asked for photos before agreeing a return. 10 days later I have still not had a response or a refund. After calling and emailing them. Not how you would expect from a large company?

Awful customer service. They have no desire to help and stonewall you. I have just reported them to Trading Standards as I feel as if they have unethical business practices due to refusing to help resolve the situation. They don’t take your issues seriously, tell you they will investigate, don’t get back in touch then when you contact them you get nothing. I

Ordered 2 bar stools. They arrived quickly. Well packed. Hubby assembled them within minutes although the instructions were so well illustrated I could have assembled them too but probably not quite so fast! Excellent quality and incredibly comfy. Delighted with them.

We ordered allegro Black as there were one or two negative comments about the stools breaking after a couple of years we decided to try the cheaper ones first but they are a quality product so difficult to see where they break!

We recently had an extension and new kitchen installed and I was looking for new barstools in white to complete the look. I searched luxury barstools (I particularly wanted white leather) and up popped these. I ordered 3 (in advance of the work being completed in December 2024) and we are thrilled with them. They arrived very well packed, so no damage, are of excellent quality and the back of the stool is high enough to be supportive and comfortable. They were easy to assemble but they are heavy stools so you don’t want to be moving them around too much. Would definitely recommend this company and this particular stool.
