Wouldn’t order Winders from stairbox
I ordered a staircase with 2 sets of winders.
The 45s were not routed at 45° therefore we had to chisel out all the joints. The glue blocks on the straight run had moved before glue was set and the bottom step came chipped.
We re general builders. We usually order direct from joiners and install ourselves.
The price is the same from a joinery shop and the quality is much better. Probably wouldn’t use stair box again personally.

We can see that you've emailed us about this just recently too, but no calls or contact at the time. We would have liked to discuss this with you at the time and hopefully we could have assisted and advised further.
The 45s you mention on the strings isn't something you would do on a CNC, but a small alteration by hand on the treads in the corners to let them in.
We appreciate that you may regularly use a local supplier that does certain tasks and methods differently, but this is where we could have advised differently.
We hope the best for you and are always available for discussion, or assistance in the future.

For the most part I had a good…
For the most part I had a good experience. One thing was.i ordered handrail to newel post connection kit assuming it would be for the rake seeing as everything else's I ordered was .but I received a straight connection kit

A great product and service
A great product and service. I had a small problem when my order arrived as I was missing some spindles. After a quick phone call to stairbox the problem was solved and extra spindles arrived by courier the very next day. I would definitely recommend stairbox to others.

Found one agent when planning a bit…
Found one agent when planning a bit dismissive then called back and got good service from another. Ordered stairs then delivery at 7am with no fixings included in box es. Driver noticed but didn’t say anything until we ran out to get him to check. We called office spoke to male agent who said we don’t supply fixings and line went dead! We called back spoke to lady who was very helpful and apologised for the oversight and sent items wooden dowels wedges etc by courier next day. I explained to her that had we not been fitting the stairs ourselves we would not have noticed anything was missing until a tradesman arrived and would have had a wasted day!
