Beautiful villa, very spacious and comfortable. Provided everything required for our family of 12, aged between 1 and 82. Rep Richard was very helpful on several occasions.

A friendly and personable experience
Roseanna and the Sun-hat team provide an extremely friendly and personal service, much better than just using an internet provider. We stayed in Villa Jasper, Vale do Lobo with teenagers. The Villa met all our needs. Would highly recommend.

Thank you for such a lovely review. For us, knowing the villas personally and being there to offer genuine advice is a big part of what makes a Sun-hat holiday different, so it’s wonderful to hear that Roseanna and the team made such an impression.
We’re also delighted Villa Jasper proved such a great choice for your family - finding somewhere that works equally well for teenagers and adults can make all the difference!
Thank you for recommending us, and we hope we can help you find another amazing villa in the future.
Warmest wishes,
The Sun-hat Villas Team
Villa Katy in Quinta do Lago
We stayed at Villa Katy in Quinta do Lago in August and were very disappointed with the standard of the property.
While we could have overlooked the dated décor and furnishings, the damp in the basement was a much more serious issue. There are two bedrooms downstairs, and the strong damp smell and condition of the walls made it difficult for my son to sleep there comfortably.
We contacted Sun Hat and asked them to raise the issue with the owners, but unfortunately we received no response. This was particularly disappointing given the nature of the problem. Even a simple phone call to acknowledge our concerns and apologise would have made a significant difference, but this was not forthcoming.
This is an expensive villa, and unfortunately we don't feel that the standard reflects what we would expect from a property represented by Sun Hat. We would strongly recommend that the villa is inspected thoroughly, particularly the basement bedrooms, before it is offered to guests again.
Overall, a very disappointing experience and not the standard we expected.

Excellent service from Sun-hat Villas…
Excellent service from Sun-hat Villas from start to finish. Staff very helpful throughout the selection and booking period of this villa. Kept updated at every stage . Very professional staff who care about their clients and go overboard to ensure there are no problems encountered. The selection of villas to choose from was huge and villas available to fit everyone's budget. The one I selected, Villa Eska, was immaculate, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Arrival and departure arrangements were clear and concise and villa management assistance always available if needed. I cannot fault Sun-hat Villas in any way.

It sounds as though Villa Eska was exactly the right choice for you Mr Hillary and we’re delighted we could help you find it.
From having plenty of villas to consider to keeping you informed throughout the booking process, we want choosing your holiday to feel just as reassuring as arriving to find an immaculate, beautifully prepared villa waiting for you.
Knowing you felt genuinely looked after by our team from start to finish means a great deal. We’ll make sure your comments are shared with everyone involved.
Thank you for trusting Sun-hat with your holiday. We hope Villa Eska won’t be your last stay with us.

Excellent experience with Sun Hat Villas
Our experience with sun hat villas has been excellent from start to finish. We received a great pack which included accommodation and location information as well as emails following this up. We also had a few messages from Sam before hand regarding her info if we needed her at any time during our stay and she also came to check in after a day or two which I thought was a really nice touch. Our apartment was in a great location and it was clean and tidy. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to family and friends!

We’re so pleased São Lourenço Village proved to be such a great choice for your holiday - a lovely location made even better when everything feels easy from the moment you book.
It’s particularly nice to hear your comments about Sam. Having someone there in resort who you know you can call on is an important part of the Sun-hat experience, and we love that her personal check-in made a difference to your stay.
Thank you too for recommending us to your family and friends, that’s one of the best compliments we can receive.
We hope we’ll be welcoming you back to the Algarve again soon.

Sun-Hat Villas & Resorts - a company to trust.
Sun-Hat Villas & Resorts make you feel valued as a customer from start to finish. Their staff are knowledgeable and work hard to find you what you want for your holiday. We had a significant water leak issue at our gorgeous villa in Portugal. Chris, our Sun-Hat in country rep, answered the phone immediately and had it all sorted with the house owner and a plumber pretty instantly. Within a couple of hours it was like it never happened. This is the mark of a good company; not that there are never problems, but how those problems are dealt with. Their range and quality of accommodation is excellent. You can rest assured the villas or resorts under their banner will be prime. This is not a shot in the dark holiday accommodation site; it’s well chosen, well looked after property.
Having a Sun-Hat rep do a lot of the leg work on finding us a holiday rental home is one of the main reasons for coming back to them again. As I said to my husband this year, when we were dithering on where and when to go on holiday, ‘if Sun-Hat don’t go there then neither are we’. But luckily they have a lot of choice, even for last minute bookers like us. Great staff + great accommodation = great company. sun-Hat is a brand to be trusted.

“If Sun-hat don’t go there, then neither are we” – we might just have to frame that! Thank you for such an incredible endorsement of Sun-hat and, most importantly, our team.
We’re particularly pleased to hear how quickly Chris stepped in when you experienced the water leak. We completely agree: occasionally the unexpected happens on holiday, and what matters is having experienced people on the ground who take ownership and get it sorted. We’ll make sure Chris sees your lovely comments.
It also means a great deal that you value the care that goes into our villa collection. We don’t want choosing a holiday home to feel like a gamble; our specialists know our destinations and properties and are here to help find somewhere that genuinely suits you.
Thank you for continuing to put such trust in Sun-hat. Now we just need to make sure we keep adding destinations to your holiday wish list!
Warmest wishes,
The Sun-hat Villas Team

There’s something very special about helping the same guests plan their annual escape year after year, getting to know what they love and being trusted to find the right place each time.
Thank you for your loyalty and for such kind words about our team. “Wouldn’t go anywhere else” is about as good a compliment as we could ask for.

Thank you for such a great recommendation. Portugal has been at the heart of Sun-hat for many years, and we’re proud of the depth of knowledge our team has built up along the way.
For us, it’s about much more than handing over the keys to a beautiful villa. We want to make the whole experience easier - helping with the practicalities such as transfers and car hire, answering those last-minute questions and making sure there’s someone you know you can turn to while you’re away.
We’re delighted that combination of local knowledge and personal support made a difference to your holiday.

Great service and a very positive experience
We had a great experience booking our villa through Sun-hat and I would definitely recommend them.
From the booking process through to our stay, the team was very responsive. Whenever I had a question, both before and during the holiday, they came back to me quickly and were always helpful. The payment schedule was also straightforward and easy to manage.
Our local representative was excellent, and overall we were very happy with the villa and had a lovely stay. There were a couple of things about the property that I felt could be improved, which I have shared directly with Sun-hat, but these didn’t detract from our overall experience with the company.
I would happily book with Sun-hat again.
