I decided to use TG Collins after they were used for the sale of my late Father in laws property & they seemed to be on the ball & happy to explain every process which culminated in a good experience.
Unfortunately my experience with selling & buying has not been so sucessful& we decided to abort both processes after some work had been done by T G Collins. They were not only very understanding & considerate but also very fair in the way they handled everything & not only would I use them again but would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Acted for us regarding sale of a house.
Although we did have a delay, where we thought TGC ought to have been swifter in dealing with an issue, after speaking with Thushara this was swiftly remedied. Generally, they were prompt in responding and we were especially happy with the service from Julia (para-legal) who stepped in and took over our case.
If you want/expect a lot of handholding they may not be the solicitors for you, as the properties team prefer you to email rather than phone. Very competitive rate. Would consider using again for sure.

The practice did what it said on the tin: delivered the completion of my house sale on time. It was a straightforward conveyancing process, but the stamp duty holiday meant the buyer put pressure on us to complete before the June deadline - that was within three weeks! Thankfully, the team was efficient and responsive and so we were able to meet all their demands. Communication was effective and Mindi and Katy returned all my calls promptly. I can only thank them for ensuring the process was a smooth and pain-free one, so I warmly recommend them.

We used mindi at t g Collins for our recent house purchase. He was excellent. Kept us informed, replied to e mails and completed our house purchase in 7 weeks. On completion day I e mailed loads and got replies, the other side lost the signed contracts and vendor had to resign and drop them off. He still managed to complete in time for nil stamp duty. I also would like to say the paralegals Katey and Julia, were also efficient , prompt , polite and helped to make this happen. Mindi and team work at Chelmsford branch and at benfleet on occasions. Would recommend them to anyone. The fees I paid were also very competitive for a local solicitor.

Avoid at all costs.

I too had reason to complain to Thushara who had agreed to take my on my purchase herself and was ‘threatened’ with £250+vat for her time in looking into my verified complaints as it was time consuming. A veiled threat at the end of her response no doubt to shut me up!
Thushara even had the cheek to say in an email “I don’t see you complaining about the sellers solicitors!” No Thushara because I’m not paying them, I’m paying YOU!!!!
They never take your calls, EVER nor call back with updates.
The purchase was delayed partly due to the lack of an insurance document and rightly so but 3 months later I am still waiting for the said document even after contacting Mindi on several occasions since March but still no response.

The last straw was recently 10/6 when I received an email to say that the Inland Rev had issued a £100 penalty for not completing the documents on time. Which is shocking as Mindi had explicitly said to me on 25/4 that they were doing it! Absolutely shocking service (or lack of). So, avoid at all costs. I just wish I had seen the review back in December 2020 before I decided to instruct them. Never again!

Katy and Mindi did an incredible job with assisting me with the sale of my property. They were professional, efficient and kept me well informed throughout the whole process. I highly recommend Katy, Mindi and T.G. Collins for your legal needs.

Our buyers solicitors made a big mistake which meant completion on our sale may have fallen through on the day. Mindi and Katy at TG Collins were brilliant at sorting it out, getting completion sorted at 5.30pm on a Friday saving us a weekend of worry. Can't recommend them highly enough.

My experience with this firm with the sale of my property was very frustrating. The process was delayed for no apparent reason and no response to emails or telephone calls. From getting a buyer to completion took 9 months even though there were no complications. It was only when buyer's mortgage was about to expire that things started moving forward. It was just by the grace of God that I did not lose the sale. I must commend Mindi though who has been very quick with the exchange and completion process. Hence the 3 stars. I will be selling another property but I will not be using them again.
