DO NOT BUY FROM “TGL”!!! I REPEAT DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE!!! My son asked for the Trapstar Irongate Anorak Jacket Item# TGL-944 ($145.00) for Christmas last year. He sent me the link and on 11/30/22 I placed my order (they charged my Credit Card Immediately). Honestly, something didn’t seem right and just 12 mins. later I went back to cancel my order! Well, this is when the nightmare began! I’ll try to make this short… I immediately sent an email to: thegenuineleather company as instructed and I CLEARLY stated I wanted to cancel my order for a full refund!
On 12/1 I received an email “We have received your order and its in the second stage of preparation let us know how we can help you do you need any changes or want to do some new changes you can let us know we will help you out”. AGAIN, I told them I wanted to CANCEL my order!! Their response: “Are you sure you like to cancel please give us the final answer as your package is already moved to the shipper if you stay with the order we will going to send you a complimentary hoodie as well so please confirm do you like to cancel the order or stay with the order.” Team TGL
They kept playing this game asking if I was sure I wanted to cancel my order and I kept CLEARLY replying with YES, CANCEL MY ORDER & REFUND ME MY $145.00! Mind you their policy states “ You can Email us at support or in contact, your queries related to size changes, Cancel or change order, before it was shipped.”
Well on 12/17/22, 18 days later I receive an email informing me that my Order Has Shipped! OfCourse I email them again! Their response:
“Since the order has already been shipped so first you will have to wait so you can receive the order then once you receive it you can let us know so we can tell you the process how to return and what will be the further steps in this regard.”
On 12/21/22, just 4 days later I receive the jacket! This jacket isn't worth $10.00! I’ve been robbed and my gut was trying to tell me this! Nothing like the pic, nor is it “premium quality Parachute, or soft and silky viscose inside” like its description states! The jacket is a light grey not ice blue, it has NO insulation, it’s flat, the material is sorta like stiff canvas, the Logo is ironed on the front and back, there’s no draw string in the hood, it’s very generic like and the zipper was stuck when I unpacked it and with how it’s sewn so close to the seam the zipper will constantly get stuck!! ITS HORRIBLE and a complete waste of $145!
So, now on to returning it!!! LoL!
First I’m asked to send pictures of the jacket that they just sent to me! Go figure! Games! Then I’m told I have to ship the jacket back to an address in Australia or UAE! So, where did it come from that it only took 4 days to get to me?? The cost… $200+ More Games/Scam! OfCourse they knew it would be expensive and used as a deterrent so people won’t return their crappy items! Email correspondences continued; one response I couldn’t believe states: “No problem, I send you our UAE and Australia warehouse addresses but returning the item will cost you too much either you keep that product for someone else, a friend, or anyone and get another one with 25% off in that way you will save your return cost and have two product at the end of the day but it's totally up to you and still you want to return it's your decision. I am sending you the address of the warehouse. It's simple once you return the package we will initiate the return of your amount.”
LIKE I SERIOUSLY WANT TO BUY ANOTHER ONE OF YOUR TGL JACKETS!!!! This non-sense dragged on until 1/4/23 when I finally gave up and opened a case with my credit card company. I know this review is late but, after all the stress it caused me I literally had NO energy to write a review at the time. I wish I could attach pictures of this cheap jacket! PLEASE BE WARNED!!

I normally don't write reviews about bad customer service but felt compelled to share my experience.

I ordered my Halloween Costume 2 weeks ahead of the date needed and still haven't received it or any more contact from TGL. I am now left to find another costume last minute and will contact my credit card company to file a claim to get my payment back. They have bad customer service and would advise customers to find their products elsewhere!

There customer service rep responded in 2 days, offer bad customer service also for a return only offer 20% off on the next order and don't return the full refund. What a bad store and bad quality merchandise stay away from here don't be another target. For scams.

I bought a jackets that is mainly white and all over the white parts of the jacket were these massive orange stains. I reached out to them via email and was ignored mostly. But eventually someone responded after almost a month and said they saw no issue. I tried arguing with them but I was again met with silence. So I go to their Facebook page and sent a message and I am told to clean it. I don’t know how to clean leather for one, and two I shouldn’t have to buy some special $80 leather cleaner because they messed up. The few messages I did receive sounded like they were written by someone who barely speaks English too. I didn’t understand half the message. Such a scam. Don’t waste your time or money.

Order not received. They lied ,saying they would correct the problem and resend the order .The order never came after numerous [25] attemps to communicate The website is false ,claims to have a warehouse in Australia with a fake phone number ,but actually they ship from Pakistan . Do not order from this company !

DO NOT EVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE!!!! Shipping takes weeks even if you pay for expedited shipping. The email address listed to contact them are invalid email address so there is no way to contact them if you want to return the garbage they sent you a month after you placed your order.

This has to be a scam! I placed my order on 9/12/23, receive the confirmation email that I would have it within 12 to 15 business days..after a month past and I had emailed them or tried to email them a couple of times using the email addresses provided on their website however, each email was returned as undeliverable so I waited and waited and then finally decided to just dispute the charge since I had not received the package or any emails since the initial order confirmation email. 2 days later after filing my dispute with PayPal I get an email from the genuine leather saying your order is finished being processed and ready to be shipped. Once you pay allow 12 to 15 days. I said you have got to be kidding me! I already paid when I placed the order and had to dispute the charge because a month later still had no leather jacket. Now you’re telling me to pay again the order is ready to be sent. Yeah OK sure it is.

I would give a negative 100 if I could… they sell a KKK robe… please stop.

Absolutely a scam. I figured how bad could it be? I'm only chucking out 160$. The reviews were bad but I figured what the hell.

Delays on top of delays. "Oh we noticed the quality wasn't up to our standards" etc. I eventually contacted PayPal to get my money back, and only once I did that did they finally send out my parcel. What I got was a mess of plastic, glue, buttons and clasps that not only don't hold together at all but also doesn't keep me warm for even mild weather.

They even tried to charge me extra for the delivery. Absolute scammers. Don't do it.

Do not, I repeat, do not buy any piece of clothing from this company, unless it’s a gag gift. The pictures are false. What is too good to be true, is too good to be true!!! What they classify as leather, is actually made from petroleum. I purchased the Rough Out Leather Jacket, 🤣…lesson learned…send the money to a charity rather than this company. If I could give them a rating, it would have to come up 20 notches just to get to zero.

I placed an order on August 21st for two items: a Stranger Things hoodie and a Scooby Doo leather jacket. I paid for this order via PayPal; however, I never received an email confirmation from the vendor, The Genuine Leather company.

I thought that to be weird; however, on August 31st, I emailed Customer Service to inquire about the status of my order. A representative emailed me back to advise me that my order was on its way via FedEx, coming all the way from Pakistan---imagine that! Now, I am still waiting for the second half of my order, the Scooby Doo leather jacket for which Customer Service just responded today that they will "dispatch my order tomorrow" per the email I received.

Now, I have contacted PayPay just again to advise them that I the second half of my order and that I am seeking either a discount or partial refund due to the excessive amount of waiting time for my order.

I cannot in good faith recommend this vendor due to the poor Customer Service and lack of transparency with regards to the logistics of their products.

Leatherings purposely misrepresents the quality of products by posting pictures of famous leather makers then delivering cheap knockoffs that are nowhere near what their pictures depict.
Furthermore, they will not answer their support email posted on their website.

I wish i could leave zero stars. I paid a lot of money for a jacket and after weeks of hearing nothing, I had to reach out for a tracking number. They kept stalling and stalling saying there was a delay. I eventually had to ask for rather a tracking number or a refund, and they proceeded to ignore my email. Only after I raised an issue through paypal, they shipped it. I finally got the item and it was terrible quality and not the right measurements. I immediately reached out to initiate the return process. Their policy states you can get a refund within 20 day, which I had done in minutes, but they said the best they could do was give me $20 and a discount on another item. After I replied back not agreeing, they have been ignoring me ever since. I am still trying to get my money back. Please don't buy from them.

People who complain need to read terms & conditions before buying something.
I was very satisfied with the product and the service, I ordered a fringe leather jacket, but I was unsure about my size, so I wrote an email to them to cancel my order. They replied they can help make it my size, so I told them my size details, and they tailored it for me and it fits perfectly.
The leather quality is great, and the product is exactly what you pay for.
P.S: if you are in EU remember you will have to pay customs tax for the package
Overall a great experience for a product I was unable to find anywhere else.

I've purchased beginning of December 2022 the Billie's leather jacket (from Sex/Life) for my girlfriend. It should arrive beginning of January, it came February. The product was completelly different of what I've seen online, color, shape... and also the leather quality, not leather at all! Asked for a return of the item only to know that if you want a return need to pay the shipping costs... spoke with PayPal, PayPal asked to return the item. Paid the return to UAE (because if you send to Australia and item get lost, they don't return the money, this is in their policy). After a while I've got a letter from Fedex to pay for import taxes because also, if you return that crappy item, you need to put is a return... at least I've said to PayPal that I've sent the item and they've returned the money. Worst experience ever, don't purchase here. And one more thing, the item comes from Pakistan.

Bogus company - they are a fraudulent operation and donot deliver any goods on time and are a scam
