I have completed a few online courses in the last few years but this is quite easily the best. Mark seems determined that you will improve and think about the photos you are taking - and gives very clear feedback on how to do that. The final assignment was a challenge but well worth taking time and effort over. I would highly recommend this if you are even half serious about your photography.

Highly recommend this company if your thinking of improving your photography skills at any level.Many different courses to choose,from beginner to advanced,and all have no time limit to complete.Particularly enjoyed the Adobe Lightroom tutorials from Mark,have learnt a great deal from this course.

The course was easy to follow, fun and engaging. The mini assignments after each section give you a chance to make sure the learning has gone in and stayed. The practical assignments then give you the opportunity to put it all together. You will find yourself looking at every situation differently, weighing up opportunities for another photograph. I learned so much along the way and found the guidance and feedback on the personal assignments extremely helpful, helping to steer you in the right direction. I would definitely recommend Image Academy if you are thinking of an online photography course. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will miss being involved in it.

The photography course was very professional and very well presented, each module really did cover a lot and has brought my photography to a whole new level. The course was great value for money and easy to follow and as there were no time constraints it was easy to relax into things. I've had a keen interest in photography for some years now and like to think I get some pretty decent results. Therefore I wasn't too sure how much I'd get from this course. However it became clear very quickly that the team at Image Academy are experts in what they do. Making sure that every single person who signs up is supported, developed and inspired to get the most from their course - regardless of experience.

The content is clear, well-constructed and built in bite size chunks so there's just enough in each module. It flows brilliantly and is easy to follow and well laid out. I also love the fact there's no time limit to complete the course. A big benefit for me as a busy working mum.

This course is clear and easy to follow. I felt like I was already quite advanced when it came to photography but this course was great, it wasn't teaching me to 'suck eggs' and i genuinely learnt something new about photography or cameras in each module. I have recommended this course to many of my friends, and several have already bought the course. I am even considering buying some more bespoke assignments in the specific area I am interested in.

I have had a great time going through the modules. Going from knowing nothing at all about photography to being able to take some good shots. Support has been amazing the whole way through as well. Couldn't have asked for better!

As an amateur photography who started taking pictures in the 1950's this course has proved invaluable. The modules are well thought out, just the right amount of content for a refresher or indeed for someone wanting to enhance their photography. The practical assignments are key to getting out and experimenting with the information learned in the modules. Having set tasks makes the course interesting and with no time restraints easier to manage. Support when needed was quickly provided. Feedback on the assignments was constructive and detailed. Having had very little experience in photography, I was looking for an online course to help me and I am very glad to have discovered The Image Academy. I found the course to be extremely accessible, easy to use and highly beneficial.

Settings on my camera that had been a complete mystery are now settings I use with every confidence and the feedback on my assignments was extremely helpful as it showed me what was good and what could be improved in a very constructive and properly explained manner.

I also found the tutor support really useful and on the occasions where I needed some extra help, it was always there with a quick response to any question I had.

Brilliant, having a real person who is an expert in the field on hand to help is invaluable, this course is a real bargain actually.

What can I say that has not already been said by many others on here before, other than I agree!!

I must say I read a lot of the reviews on here before finally booking a course with The Image Academy and it was probably the best money I ever spent on my photography. Like quite a few others I had been stumbling around looking at free YouTube videos that always left me feeling unsure about whether I was doing it the right way and it also felt a bit erratic (I am someone who needs direction!).

The breakdown of the course modules made me realise that this course was probably exactly what I needed to finally get to grips with everything and I was so pleased I took the plunge and bought a course (20-module standard diploma).

The course content is REALLY easy to follow and it breaks everything down and its then presented in a way that you can easily understand and follow. The layout is easy to work with and I particularly like the fact that my images are being assessed by someone actually qualified to give feedback. It has been a fantastic learning experience for me.

Mark and Connie who run the Image Academy could not have been more helpful and it gave me a feeling of comfort I suppose knowing they were only a phone call or e-mail away from giving any help I needed. Never at any time did I feel rushed and knowing there was no time limit on completing the course was an added benefit for me as I work away quite a bit and I have been fitting the course around other commitments.

I have already recommended this course to other photographer friends who have enjoyed it as much as I have and I can only say thank you Image Academy for helping me really improve my photography.

What a fantastic ride, I have really enjoyed the opportunity to develop my skills in
photography, learning about the workings of the camera, how to look for shots,
compose, think in thirds, look objectively at everything and see a picture. Being able
to use the controls more freely aperture, shutter and manual mode, has opened my

I took out a short course with The Image Academy with the primary goal of becoming for comfortable with using my camera, so as to get the most from it (Nikon D5200 at the time).

I took the course at my own pace, fitting around everything else that goes on in life, and taking the time to really understand what was being taught, and applying it. Throughout the course I began feeling more 'at ease' with the camera, coming off AUTO into A/S priority mode, and even venturing into Manual ( ! )

This course, on it's own, probably won't make you a better photographer, but combined with lots of practice, lots of additional research, reading, and yet more practice, it will certainly make you a more confident photographer - and /that/ is what will help you produce better images.

I without a doubt still have a lot more to learn (lighting is my arch-nemesis!), but this course has been a massive tool to help me achieve something close to the types of shots I'm wanting to achieve.

Well worth the investment for anyone else trying to improve their technical knowledge.

Already bein an amature photographer and getting what I thought was quite good results I wondered if this course was really worth signing up for, the answer was a big YES. These guys at the image academy are always there for help and advice and I learnt an awful lot both in the theory, practical and editorial.
I enjoyed the 17 module course so much I have now gone on to an upgrade to push myself further.
Give these guys a go, they do exactly what it says on the tin.

After looking around for a Photography course to cement my knowledge of the subject and maybe learn a little more, this course certainly fulfilled my requirements. The course is suitable for all abilities from beginner to self-taught like me. It covers technical aspects of using the camera and many photo shooting techniques. I felt supported all the way through the course and felt the delivery was well thought out. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to learn the art or just to confirm their skills.

Having upgraded my DSLR just prior to signing up for the course I felt I needed to step up my photography skills and the 17 Module course with additional personalised assignments was exactly what I needed , it is an excellent course !! The course was exceptional value for money and the training modules and subsequent practical assignments gave me new found skills which have improved my photography immensely.

Now shooting routinely in raw and with lightrooms edits has seen major changes in my photography and this with my new found camera and edit skills and increased motivation to get out in more varied photography situations has made this course thoroughly enjoyable .

Mark and Connie at Image Academy run a thoroughly professional service with a forum / website and exceptional e mail support which make a big difference compared to many other learning options

The chance to get constructive and informative feedback on my practical submissions from unbiased experienced photographers was invaluable.
