after looking around for a photography course i decided on the image academy and am glad i did so. the content of the course covers everything you need to know about photography , questions are answered very promptly by a very friendly tutor the feedback is of great help all in all it is a very well and professional run course if you want to learn about photography then this is the course to do

This course takes students through the modules in a way which encourages and challenges whilst at the same time providing an excellent format for learning. There is sufficient freedom for individual subject preferences to be pursued, alongside clear guidelines which focus on different photographic techniques and skills.
I learnt a great deal throughout and the feedback on my submissions was comprehensive and helpful. The personal touch provided shows that the progress of every student is important to the team and inspired me to make take my photography skills to greater heights. With such dedicated professional photographers at the helm your own skills can only benefit.
Once I had finished the modules, I didn't want the experience to end and decided to carry on with more practical assignments. I can thoroughly recommend the course to any aspiring or more experienced photographers.

I have been taking photographs for over 30yrs, but I have to say, I have learnt more in the last 3 months from this fantastic course than during the rest of the 30yrs put together!!
The course is compiled and run by Mark and Connie Cargill. They are without doubt, both true professionals who know photography inside out and back to front! Always approachable, always keen and happy to help, always reply quickly and efficiently.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Image Academy to anyone who wants to get more out of their photography.
So, thank you Image Academy I look forward to continuing my journey with you.

With some time now to take my photography a little more serious than the point and snap I have done over the years, I decided that an on-line course I could do at my own pace was what was required. I saw the Image Academy's Standard Diploma course advertised on the internet and decided to en-role, and very pleased I am that I did. The course material is well set out in with the end of section quizzes giving you the chance to evaluate your learning yourself and review areas you aren't sure about. The suggestions for the photographs that need to be taken to support your work are well thought out and give practice and experience in different areas of photography. The evaluation at the end is clear and any suggestions for improvement are fair and supportive. The final personal assignment is tailored to push you that little bit further. I found the whole course very enjoyable, moving my photography forwards without it becoming in any way stressful. Mark is obviously very knowledgeable about things photographic, with an efficient system supporting the students who take part. Very good value for the money and well worth the time and effort. A great way to start advancing your photography.

I took one of Image Academy's courses, and I couldn't be more happier with the service. The course I took was really easy to understand with constant support and really helped me grow as a photographer not only understanding how to use the camera but also how to train my eye to notice things differently and all the technical sides to your camera and other services outside your camera. Not only I would recommend this to all level photographers I would defiantly look into taking another course with the price being a great value for money

If you want to improve your digital photography skills and are self motivated then I would without no hesitation recommend the image academy. As a teacher and lecturer myself I was highly impressed by mark and connie who have produced a superb course. The materials are excellent and the practical assignments are challenging, combined with their expert knowledge and backup you would not spend a better £ for £ , this was a breath of fresh air to for once buy a product that gave you total value for money and so much more.. Whilst the offer is available I would take as another great benefit is that there is no time limit for competion. These guys are genuine dedicated professionals who have so much passion for photography that it rubs off on you... Enjoy I know I did and I am currently doing the additional practical exercises as an extra.

I think like a number of others who have written reviews about the Image Academy, I was a little sceptical about how good a course would be for such an attractive price.

I did some research, read all the comments on Facebook - including the meticulous approach to the replies given by the people at the Image Academy and also reviews already written on here before making my decision to join.

Being involved in a customer service industry, I know what it takes to deliver customer satisfaction and there are many business out there that can learn from this company. Every single time I have contacted the Academy, whether it be by telephone or e-mail, I have always had a quick, friendly and detailed response and nothing ever seems too much trouble either.

The customer service aside, the course in itself is brilliant and takes you on a journey of discovery through every aspect of photography. I was surprised at the inclusion of image editing training too - other courses I had been looking at tended to have that as a separate course, so this was a bonus.

The structure is logical and the learning hub is easy to use, access and keeps a track of what you have done and still have to do, including all my exams scores as I progressed.

There is a student forum too - I did not post on there as I am more of a lurker with these things, but overall, I could not think of a better way to improve my photography.

I would say that I was a weekend photographer, and probably not a very good one. The course has inspired me to get our more, plan better and also increased my confidence in knowing that I am doing it right. I recently had a second place at my local camera club with one of the images I took for one of the practical assignments on this course, which was great.

I have recommended this course to numerous other photographers in our club and that tells you everything you need to know! :)

I have had an interest in photography for quite a while, read quite a few books on the subject took lots of pictures but was getting bored with doing the same old stuff. I saw the image academy's offer and thought it may be a good idea to follow some structured learning but it seems a little to good to be true, how wrong can you be. The course content is fun and very good, it made me look at things in a new way and filled a lot of technical gaps. When you join and throughout you feel like your progress is important to Mark and Connie and you always have help and guidance just a email or phone call away. As testament to what sort of company you are dealing with the course has been improved twice since i started it and each time I have been upgraded free of any further charge. It has to be the best money I have spent on photography in a number of years when you consider the price with the offer sometimes available it is no more than the cost of a day out with the camera taking fuel and lunch into account. I think anyone interested in photography could benefit from working with The Image Academy.

As a self-taught photographer I'd felt, for some time, that I had gaps in my knowledge which I had to fill in. I am delighted to say that The Image Academy course I signed up for has filled those gaps and, I feel more confident as a photographer.

I'm more than happy to recommend the Image Academy to friends.

I have to admit that I was a little afraid that this course was going to be "too good to be true" for such a low price but I can say with certainty that the Image Acadamy has given me a real sense of direction and that my photography has improved significantly as a result. It really is fantastic value and what has impressed me most is the student support. Mark has always been available to answer all of my questions (no matter how trivial) and has been quick to respond with great advice. This for me was something that I do not believe you would get with a lot of other online courses. I would strongly recommend it!

This course was great value for money. Lots of information in an easy to understand format. Enjoyable to do with good constructive feedback aimed at improving your skills. I have also purchased the course to give as a gift. I would highly recommend it.

I have just completed the Silver Level course with Mark Cargill as my tutor and in just a few months time I´ve gone from an okay hobby photographer to having taken a long exposure landscape photo as part of my last assignment that has been seen and liked by hundreds of people :)

I have throughout the course been amazed about Mark´s professionalism; in the self study modules where each has practical assignments and a test, and it has been a joy to read the feed back from Mark after I´ve sent in photos. You can really tell that he has looked at my photos and given constructive criticism, and it´s not taken for granted that you pass each module.

I have already signed up for my next course - my ambition is not to become a photographer, but it´s been a true joy to learn so much about photography from such a dedicated teacher that I just don't want to stop! I do definitely want to have Mark Cargill as my tutor on this great photographic journey I´ve begun! I can recommend their courses to anyone who would like to learn more about photography!

I have been into photography for a relatively short period, but had some enjoyable results.

The image academy has helped fill in the holes in my knowledge, and made me really think about my photography in a different light. It has in fact pushed my photography in directions that i had previously not considered, with some exceptionally pleasing results.

Marks very personable approach to the learning process has made this course very enjoyable, I would recommend it to anybody. You can always learn something, no matter who you are!

I would defiantly recommend The Image Academy to a friend, without a doubt. I've been into photography for a couple of years now, and was very surprised just how much information this course has given me, well worth the money intact to cheap for what you'll gain from it.

I purchased this course at a fantastic price and it's been a pleasure to work on. When I have needed any kind of help or guidance mark has been brilliant and responds to messages in no time at all. Overall I am more than happy and it was great value for money.

Having been a bit of a point and shoot kind of photographer I knew I was not getting the best from my Canon DSLR.
I was starting to get some decent comments about my shots of zoo animals so it was about time I started to learn how to make my photos even better.
I stumbled upon this course advertised on Facebook and thought it was too good an offer to overlook.
Having signed up, I was very impressed with the quality of the modular material. I have actually printed the whole lot off and bind it so that I could refer to it anytime and make notes as I worked through.
I am really looking forward to getting into the modules but will be taking my time to absorb it all properly.

I've been taking photographs for a few years now but have been lazy in defaulting to the preset functions on my camera. This simple to follow course has provided me with the confidence to delve deeper into the camera's operation and use it's flexibility to greater effect.
The modules are logically laid out and easy to follow. Not only that, they act as an eternal reference guide - all for the price of £29! Bargain of the century.
Lastly, I did need to seek clarity on a couple of points in the middle of the course and my e-mail was responded to personally and within a few hours. Fantastic service.
Being only a couple of modules away from completing the course I'm not sure I'm looking forward to the personal critique of my learning but I can honestly say any errors and/or lack of skill will be mine and mine alone; it will not be the fault of the teaching.
If you buy one thing this month, make it this course.

The course was reasonably priced, well recommended and all pre-course information was very clear and well presented. The actual day went incredibly well with everybody learning or trying something new. The course instructors made it enjoyable and educational. All in all I will do another course with them and would recommend them to anyone.

I saw the offer on Facebook. I was a little sceptical about it because of the price. However my scepticism has been completely unjustified. I have recommended the course to 3 people and they have all signed up. I purchased my first dslr a couple months ago and found it a bit daunting at first. I'm now working through the modules at my own pace and learning so much. I would definitely recommend the course for a complete novice.
