A very high quality of service
A very wide range of wines at affordable prices. There is also the opportunity to buy more expensive vintages if you wish as well as an excellent En Primeur service.
The on-line ordering service is trouble-free which is some achievement given the extremely wide range of products.
I use the Society’s own delivery service which is very well run and uses friendly and knowledgable drivers.
For anyone interested in buying quality wines joining the Wine Society is a no-brainer!

Again DHL performed badly
Again DHL performed badly. This time we were in and waiting for the delivery. Having decided we lived next door (despite the houses being clearly identifiable by name) they interpreted "if out, please leave on doorstep" by leaving the cases of wine on the roadside. Our doorstep is behind the gate and not visible from the road.
Last time they said they "couldn't access the property and would try again tomorrow". After three days of getting this message I telephoned TWS. It turned out they had broken some of the bottles and therefore were never going to deliver. They hadn't told TWS either.

Great range of well chosen wines but…
Great range of well chosen wines. Impressive delivery and returns policy.
The only negative is the “customer services”. They have neglected to process refunds on a couple of occasions - so need to keep an eye on that.
More frustrating is the tone of aloofness and wine snobbery when liaising with some members of customer services. Not very pleasant.

Great range of product
Great range of product. All well explained. Price range to suit all tastes. I buy wine for ‘everyday’ drinking and there is plenty of choice. Sometimes indulge in something to build up a cellar…problem there is that once it is in the cellar you don’t want to touch it. Quite mad of course not least because some wines do have a best before life.

Great wine, great service!
The Wine Society offers great wine at very reasonable prices. You could never get that quality in a supermarket. I recently had to send a crate back because a particular '24 wine wasn't up to the standard of previous years, and they collected and refunded. I bought another wine instead and it's great!

Review
For this review's purposes, so far all I've done is order, which was easy, with plenty of information available.
My experience of delivery by the Society's own van has always been excellent. Plenty of warning of delivery times and the most friendly and helpful staff.
HOWEVER: my experience of third party carriers has been invariably (or at least so almost invariably as to make no difference) abysmal. From memory, every order I've had via a third party carrier has had items missing or broken. I find myself reasonably confident that this will occur in relation to my current order.
