Tick will always get 5 stars from me! I’ve used them many times now and will never go anywhere else. It’s great having peace of mind I’ve got good insurance. I’ve only had to claim once and it was super easy.

I have purchased travel insurance from Tick a few times in the last few years. There pricing is very competitive with the level of cover they offer. Fortunately we haven't needed to use it, but knowing that it is in place allows us to go and enjoy our holiday without worrying about anything.

Easy to navigate their website and their price was extremely competitive ..
I was Able to add a pre existing medical condition simply and it was only a small additional fee for this too.

Last time when I had to cancel my trip, my communication with Tick insurance was very friendly and easier. I got full refund of my money. Which was much earlier than expected as it was cancelled night before I was supposed to travel.

Absolute trash of a policy. Firstly, a big thank you to Heidi and Colin who really tried to help me while I'm overseas with connection issues. However I purchased travel insurance with the belief that I would be helped should an emergency come up. Well it did, and I wasn't. Upon the sudden death of a family member, I've called them over 13 times today. I've been directed to the online portal, which won't accept my policy number. I've been told they can't send me a link as it could take 24hours to send. The apparently 'reverse charge' phone number draining $$$ of credit as I keep having to top up and me getting hung up on as I wait for 50mins being transferred between departments. After hours of trying to get help I'm told that they generally need over 48hours to review claims (as I'm not in immediate danger) and so they can't get me home any sooner. What is the point of buying this travel insurance? Did the CANSTAR award come from people who never had to claim?

Well the process was relatively easy to follow and as we have used Tick Travel Insurance before after we did comparisons it just felt right
I suppose the proof is in the pudding as we haven't had a claim so its hard to comment on that aspect of the cover.
