We always go to Top Golf and enjoy the game and the service, but hit a sore point today.
I purchased a summer pass and requested my max 2 hour play.
At 1 1/2 hours was informed there was an event at my bay and we needed to leave or go to another bay. They should have let us know that up front

Your a golf range not a government building.
You don’t need all that security and them being so intolerable.
The Top Golf Chigwell needs to change its security that was present on Monday the 9th of June 2025 working at 9 pm on wards. They are racist they are way too entitled. We need to organise a peaceful protest if they don’t

Whilst eating our meal at Topgolf Chigwell before a game (which we had already paid for) we were interrupted by a security guard who demanded to see stamps on our wrists. My two friends had them, but I didn’t having arrived about some time before they did. The security guard said I needed to produce ID (which at no point prior to this had been needed and I didn’t have)

For context all 3 of us are our 30s, and I’m 35 and no way look 25, let alone the actual legal drinking age of 18!

Due to the totally absurd nature of being suddenly being thrown out, literally in the middle of a meal (which is something I have never experienced!) I asked to speak to a manager in order to have our meal, drinks and games refunded. He didn’t offer to help with this, I had to ask for it.

He then backed down and said “on this occasion” he’d let me stay.

It ruined our evening. It had been fun until then. The tone was hostile and confrontational, not to mention totally unnecessary. Certainly won’t be returning.

Disappointed by – A Missed Opportunity for Hospitality

We recently visited Topgolf Alpharetta, GA with high expectations for a fun family outing. While the game itself was enjoyable and the staff were not overtly rude, our overall experience was unfortunately overshadowed by a lack of basic customer courtesy and unclear policy enforcement.

After completing our game, we were still in the bay finishing our food—with kids in tow—when the manager approached us and asked us to leave the bay immediately, citing policy that guests can only remain in the bay while the game is active. There were no alternatives offered, no effort to relocate us to another seating area, and we were essentially rushed out, having to leave food uneaten on the table.

As a family dining with children, this felt unnecessarily abrupt and inconsiderate. While we understand that policies are in place for operational reasons, the way they are communicated and handled makes all the difference in how guests feel. In this case, it felt transactional, not hospitable—especially at a premium entertainment venue that promotes itself as being family-friendly.

I hope the management at Topgolf Alpharetta will reflect on this experience and consider more thoughtful approaches—offering seating alternatives, or at least allowing families to finish their meals in a comfortable manner. A little flexibility and empathy go a long way in creating positive, lasting impressions.

We had an enjoyable first time experience at the Chigwell branch! Would recommend a fast track to prebook a booth as it is very popular. And had 4 free games on signing up, and drinks/food served to the booth as well

What a great experience! 7 total, went to TopGolf Ashburn. We do not golf!! We barely putt-putt. Ages 18- 68yrs. Most of us are physical and healthy. We had so much fun!! You would have to try hard not to have fun in order of not enjoying yourselves. Rules and games are easy to understand and follow. Food, service is great. Great place for advid or amateur golfers, great family fun, and team building at work.

Very disappointing how they nickel and dime you even charging a $25 booking fee! Discussed with a manager who basically said ‘too bad’. Will NEVER bring customers or family here again.

Topgolf discriminated against a 25 year disable veteran. Veteran had to pause his membership due to medical and financial reasons for 6 months. Contacted Ashley at the Webster location, and she insisted that he comes in for a "meeting". Once he shows up at TopGolf he was talked to like he committed a crime and told he could not start his elite membership, and they were taking away his Hero membership as well. 25 year this man served and Top Golf said his nothing. Not by Ashley she did not even have the respect to speak to him she sent had someone else do it. There was no meeting it was just a way to blind side and humiliate him. All because Ashley has a person issue with his wife.

Extremely disappointing experience!

Our son was invited to a birthday party at this venue, and we waited in the restaurant area near the reception. We ordered lunch for three of us, and it took 45 minutes to arrive! I had initially tried to order online, but the waiter insisted that ordering in person would be quicker. I was also forced to add a tip, on top of which I had to pay an additional 5%.

After 45 minutes, the food finally arrived, but it was absolutely dreadful—no cutlery or napkins were provided. We asked to speak with a manager, who came over and told us that a refund couldn't be offered because we had already started eating the food. We requested a senior manager, but none were available. The staff simply said nothing could be done, and no apologies were offered.

There was no respect for our time, and customer service was non-existent. It’s clear that the waiters and managers need proper training in basic etiquette. After reading several similar reviews, I strongly urge others to avoid this place if possible!

Went on line checked prices for more than 13 people on a Saturday clearly says £148 went to book, they wanted to charge me 3x £148 = £444 that doesn’t include food or drinks what a rip off

App indicated no wait time however it was 90-120 minutes. Terrible

Dog shit not real golf at all. Points are based on pure luck. Ball distance in accurate overall just retarted and not good for anybody interested in golf.

Terrible service, Staff were rude and inappropriate, we met family there as it was my sons birthday, we popped to put his presents in the boot and was broken into presents card and our boot contents were taken, we wrote a direct complaint asking for help identifying the theirs but had not response

On their website it stated over the Christmas period 'For a limited time, get a £10 Bonus Card when you spend £50 on a gift card.'

I purchased a gift card for Chigwell and then proceeded to receive a bonus card - which could only be redeemed at Glasgow. Complained to customer service and 12 emails later, no resolution. They couldn't quite comprehend that I wanted to use the gift card and the bonus card at the same location. Distance between Chigwell and Glasgow = 400 miles apart.

Topgolf use CashStar for their gift card services. Appalling customer service from both. Avoid.

I wanted to play some golf in Bangkok, but i didnt feel like playing in the scorching heat. I loved the food and the friendly staff, but why on earth would you play a replay of a 5 month old football match on the big screan on the opposite side of the drivingrange?

I was hired by a gig "economy" app to run food at the Nashville location. Still waiting to get paid. They take out for a 30 minute lunch break that you never get. When you leave you don't get a receipt for your hours worked and have to go thru the endless customer "service" tree to get recognition. If you support the "gig economy" and enjoy seeing human's being used, here is your opportunity.

I visited this location on 11/01 with my family and it was HORRIBLE!!! I arrived around 6. I asked the waiter about a specific menu item (wing trio) at which time he said he would be 30 wings. Only for the food to come out and there about 24 wings. He apologized and stated that he just started 3 weeks ago. Next, there was a bug in my daughter’s drink. She told the waiter, he bought another drink. Lastly, the absolute worst part of all, I asked the waiter directly face to face about an online promotion that said you could buy a $150 giftcard and receive $50 game play. I also asked if the game play had to be used in the future of would I be able to use it now. I had it on my screen ready to purchase as I was asking the waiter. He said he would go check. He came back, asked for me to write my number on a paper he had. I did and he walked off. He came back about 7 minutes later and said it was all fine to use during this visit. I told him that we would take the check. He proceeded to say that he already applied the card to my bill with whoever he took my number too but then still said my bill was $201 because all of it couldn’t be applied which made no sense. He showed me the bill on a device. He had gotten the game play applied with the gift card portion instead of the game play portion which made my bill still appear higher. Not my fault at all. I asked for a manager, explained it all to the manager in front of the waiter who agreed with what I said he said and did. However, they were both looking at me as if I needed to pay for his mistake. I showed the manager my receipt which showed that at 7:39 I purchased the gift card promotion which was close to the time that everything was happening. Why would I buy it if I were told otherwise resulting in me still needing to spend extra money? Not to menthe waiter begin to talk down to me after realizing he was wrong instead of taking accountability. He even put his finger up as if he were talking to an animal or a child and I am neither. At that point I removed myself from the restaurant since no one wanted to handle the situation properly. I have since reached out to corporate offices, social media, online reviews and now press. Not to mention they shut down my online topgolf account which still has $102 game play on it and needs to be refunded if I am now unable to have an account.
